Tweetums chirps again. Come to think of it, I believe he's been here once before.

To check on... The Saurornitholestes sniffs the air again, and chirps more urgently. Could it be!?

The dinosaur stalks forward and rushes toward the freshest scent. Chirping happily. It smells Mister Buttons!

"A pokemon?" Holly asks, "It's been years since I saw one of those ((RETCON ALERT)) And now a bunch all in one day? Wow!" She's so excited by it that she doesn't seem to notice the vine, reasoning that it's probably one of those druid things she doesn't understand.

"Yup! I named him Oddball. Becca said he's an Oddish - have you met Becca?" Jamie asks, motioning to the sleeping Oddish...and with anything else she was going to say being cut off by the sidden tickling of her leg.

This causes giggling!

Before rushing forward, mewling happily! It smells Tweetums!

So... a Sabretooth Tiger and a Saurornitholestes walk into a bar...

"Just an experiment, Terrance. I'm afraid it's quite beyond someone of your ability." Ghar is being secretive. How spooky.

[Outside the Main Lodge]

"Come on Shroomy. Time for some practice." The two haven't had a proper pokemon battle in forever.

"Mish mish shroom!" The shroomish is of ambiguous level. One of the things I eliminated.

Bianca follows Tweetums, as it rushes further into GLoG. She's slightly apprehensive of what's gotten Tweetums so excited.

Finding a ticklish spot, the Vine continues it's "attack".

"Have I met Becca?" she wonders, thinking for a moment "No, I don't think I have. Can you introduce me to her?

They should do that some time. Or fight crime.

Tweetums chirps happily in greeting to its long-lost friend. It will then bound forward to nuzzle the big cat when they finally come together. Yay!

Mister Buttons meows in that RAWR way he does and licks at Tweetums face as Tweetums nuzzles him. Hi there!

"But what are the effects?" Terrance asks. Even complex magic can have simple effects, "Does it have something to do with the dead?"

Jamie nods to Holly, and points over to the battle. "That's...heehee....her over there...heeheehee! Quit it!" she protests, giggling madly at the vine's tickling!

"The one with the shroomish?" she'll ask, mostly for confirmation. Then she'll walk over to Becca and say "Hello, my name is Holly, are you becca"

"Yup!" Jamie declares. Giggling cheerfully!

"It siphons the life from everything within the circle and converts it into a mana of sorts." Ghar explains. It is quite a simple effect, probably not one that should need such a complex rune.

[Outside the Main Lodge]

Shroomy manages to resist Megan's charms. Perhaps because she is an animal type thing, and he is a mushroom.

The shroomish releases a puff of spores in the eevee's direction. If they contact Megan she'll feel her health being sapped!

"Good job, Shroomy!" Then Holly interrupts her! "Oh, hi. Yeah I am."

Terrance blinks, wondering what he's need that mana for, "Is it possible that it would kill living things besides plants? Maybe small animals, or even humans?"

The vine stops tickling, and shrinks away.

Jamie keeps giggling, and turns over to stretch out on her front, looking at the vine curiously.
"I wasn't expecting a vine to tickle me. Can you talk?"

Bianca watches, unsure what she's seeing, as Tweetums and Mr. Buttons greet each other.

Zero makes his hand into a fist and holds it out in front of himself, the blue sparks concentrating until they form a liquid that drops on to the ground and disappears. There is a second before more and more of the liquid appears and drops more rapidly. Then Zero takes his left hand and brings the sparks into contact with the liquid, resulting in blue energy covering his hands. Zero gives the appearance of someone that isn't afraid of anyone in an attempt to avoid fighting.

Terrance blinks, wondering what he's need that mana for, "Is it possible that it would kill living things besides plants? Maybe small animals, or even humans?"

"Life cannot exist within the circle." Ghar explains. "Any living thing will die and be converted to mana as long as the circle is big enough to fully contain it."

[Lex-Kat]

Jamie's Garden

Jamie keeps giggling, and turns over to stretch out on her front, looking at the vine curiously.
"I wasn't expecting a vine to tickle me. Can you talk?"

The Vine shakes it's.... um... head? No, tip. It shakes it's tip no.

"Aww...well, we can still be friends!" Jamie says, giggling cheerfully at the vine.

(Alas, deadtime)

"...But the undead, such as yourself, remain unaffected." Terrance says, "Making it only usable by those who aren't alive or already have died." Terrance thinks about that for a moment. There wasn't any way he'd be able to use the circle, then.

[Gullara]

"Clever, child. There is another condition on the spell that makes the energy lethal to the living." Ghar should really not underestimate Terrance it seems.

[Halae]

Terrance looks at Ghar quizzically. What did he miss about this, then? it had to be something about the mana...

"Is the mana itself a kind that the living can't use without harming themselves?" That seems like the reasonable answer

[Gullara]

[Outside]

Ghar nods. "That is correct. Another modification on the original spell. In theory a living being could use the mana, though I could guarantee that the person would no longer be alive afterward. Though perhaps not quite dead either."

[Halae]

[Outside]

"What do you intend to use the mana for, Master?" He can't think of anything at the moment, but he doesn't keep track of Ghar all the time, obviously

"Simply an experiment. It is a theory I had been meaning to test for some time." Ghar doesn't seem to be revealing everything, but it isn't the student's place to be questioning the master, now is it?
