3.5 dnd need immunity to positive energy
Any clues on how to get an undead creature immunity to positive energy? Would essentially make the critter immune to any "heals" and turning attempts

Re: 3.5 dnd need immunity to positive energy
Full immunity doesn't exist to the best of my knowledge. There is a feat in Libris Mortis, the Book of Bad Latin, called Positive Energy Resistance which grants Resistance10 to positive energy. I'm not sure if you could take it twice to stack it up though. There is also a spell with the same name in LM. 3rd level, IIRC, and lasts 10 min/level. I think it gives Resistance 20 up to 10 points/CL or something like that.
As far as turning, there are very few things you can do. Become a Death Knight (DM fiat), become a Tomb Warden (and never leave your tomb), or get really really really high Turn Resistance. Again, Libris Mortis has a few ways to get and increase your Turn Resistance, including feats and magic items you can aquire.

You want the Life Ward spell from Spell Compendium - its a 4th level Cleric spell and functions as a direct mirror to Death Ward, blocking all positive energy effects instead of negative energy effects, including turning and healing.

Re: 3.5 dnd need immunity to positive energy
The Ring of Positive Protection (MIC) will do it for spells and the Positive Energy Plane, though it doesn't stop turn attempts and costs 36000 gp. The Life Ward spell from Spell Compendium works perfectly but only lasts 1 minute/level and is a 4th level cleric-only spell.

Re: 3.5 dnd need immunity to positive energy
There are ring from LM IIRC which gives immunity to positive energy. As for turning, can't think of an immunities, only ways to boost it.
Still here, just a little busy to social post

Re: 3.5 dnd need immunity to positive energy
The Vivacious template might work (provides immunity to "the effects of a positive-dominated environment", but that could be seen as selective immunity to positive energy). You'd need an undead template that accepts outsiders.
Its opposite, the Entropic template (and since when does entropy mean death?) grants spell resistance 15+hd against positive energy effects. That should protect you from most things. It does apply to undead.Last edited by dspeyer; 2009-04-16 at 09:13 PM.
