Steam username is Triscuitable.
I got VAC banned in COD: Ghosts for using an FOV changer.
I try not to think of how sad that is.

Re: LGBTAitP - Part 21: BLACKJACK!
Oh my God! That's so cute! I wish you two the best!
I am crushed, you want to create a superteam of Pokémon, but don't know your Pokémon? I admit I'm not 100% on my Unova ones, but anything after Hoenn is generally not worth it.
Well given that Dragonite covers Fly, then Charmeleon is valid. But I really prefer Charizard, however Charmeleon would wear the rainbow scarf better.
What did you say about wings?! I love wings!

Re: LGBTAitP - Part 21: BLACKJACK!
The unlinked comment Asta tried to post is pretty wonderful.
Have quotes, and thank you asta.
I’ve been forced to explain homosexuality to my kids (aged 3 and 4) because their uncle is gay. This incredibly difficult and traumatic experience went as follows:
Child: Why does Uncle Bob go everywhere with Pete?
Me: Because they’re in love, just like Mummy and Daddy are.
Child: Oh. Can I have a biscuit?
We’re all scarred for life. Scarred, I tell you.

Re: LGBTAitP - Part 21: BLACKJACK!
*Hugs* That's good to hear.
I like it. Yeah, seriously, kids are more likely to get anything than adults because they don't have pre-conceived notions of how things work.
Page not found. :<
Bulbapedia, serebii.net, veekun, and so on. There are lots.
Charmeleon is pretty cool. I don't know why it had to go grow wings. Wings are lame.
Longcoats, on the other hand, would look cool on just about anything with a reasonably-solid form. And tophats don't even need that much to work with.
I grew up with it, so I get most of the Imperial system. Though I never did really get how pounds and pounds are different, and how ounces and ounces are different, and so on. Or any of the volume stuff.
Fahrenheit is just silly. "I'm going to make a temperature scale based on the freezing point of salt water, the freezing point of water, and the temperature of human blood! And I'm going to separate the freezing point of water and the temperature of human blood by sixty-four degrees because I'm lazy and that makes it easier for me to mark my instruments! Whee!"
Technically I grew up with it, but I never really got anything past yards, pounds and... Actually, I think that was about it. I don't even use rulers for drawing lines (I'm actually better-off doing it myself)...
I just got a blank page.
... Even if that isn't the joke, I still get it.
I was actually directing that to her and referencing the genderbent one, though the original one's pretty awesome too (as are the ones on your DA).
(Also *hugs*. )

Wings are lame. (I'm scared of heights, haha.)
Haha. That's pretty great.
One day I was like, "What the heck is with the Fahrenheit scale!?" So I looked it up. Yeah.
I just got a blank page.
... Even if that isn't the joke, I still get it.

Re: LGBTAitP - Part 21: BLACKJACK!
I've been feeling down in the dumps lately. I don't know if it's the passive aggression on the Steam thread for off-topic posts (it'd be pathetic), or if it's all the school work, or if it's the emotional aftermath from last week.
Can somebody link me to something that can improve my mood?Steam username is Triscuitable.

Re: LGBTAitP - Part 21: BLACKJACK!
Random, mood-improving links ohoy:
This is adorable.
This is de-stressing.
This is fascinating (I totally did that with the mirror when I was little ).
This and this are just plain feel-good.
I wish I had some links to LGBTA-relevant mood-lifters, but everything I have has already been linked here. Hope these'll do in a pinch, though.
Edit: Oh, and I hope you feel better soon. *hugs if you want them*Last edited by Glass Mouse; 2012-03-04 at 08:07 PM.

Re: LGBTAitP - Part 21: BLACKJACK!
Sounds fun!
It will be interesting to see what The Succubuscooks upcreates!
I realised some might confuse the word cook (as in 'cooking') with either kook or a synonym of rooster.
Britain can be pretty deceptive when she gets around to it, the magnificent bastards...
I've been meaning to pick up more books, but I spent all of my money on Dragon Age and chips. I've been particularly interested in WWI (something about the trenches just 'gets' me, you know?) and ancient Oriental history (which I don't know nearly enough about).
The font in Dictators is actually pretty small, but I'm not sure what the Swedish standard is so I'm not sure whether it's larger or not. I can say that it has a lot of freakin' words per page and enough pages that I can't carry it in my jacket (and I've carried Warhammer books in my jacket ). It's also exhaustively thorough, which explains the page count.
From experience, I can tell that Swedish font size tends to be smaller than English font size, especially in soft covers. We also tend to not get softcovers in full size; we get only get hardcovers and pocket books. (Except if it's comics.)
Nightmares and dysphoric curveball aside, it wasn't so bad of a week as it was an uneventful one (though I did finally figure out how to design a binary divider )... Thanks, though. *Hugs*
Oh, and I forgot to mention - that avatar's badass. [/COLOR]
I should change back now... Before people start to think I really am a lady...
There seems to be a slight misunderstanding here...
The Succubus wanted to add a Pokémon or Pokémon trainer or similar to a group I've created on deviantART. I approved and added that while anything is appreciated, it would be nice if that character would be a crime-fighter or saviour of some sort, since it would fit the theme of super-heroes and pulp heroes.
The fact I don't know much about Pokémon would just make it more fascinating to me, since I don't know what power levels we are talking about. OoTS (the siege of Azure City story-arc) and Manly Men Who Do Manly Things have given me a few clues, though...
*hugs*
---
I found a nice analogue / counterargument to the argument of "explaining non-straight attraction / trans* / etc. is too complicated for kids".
I saw it! That's awesome!
I think I saw it in the original thread! If only I remembered which thread... Can it have been the Wipeout Homophobia group?
Must... resist... pointing... and... laughing...Last edited by H Birchgrove; 2012-03-05 at 01:19 AM.

Re: LGBTAitP - Part 21: BLACKJACK!
@Lil Shiro: Right. When I said good luck, I meant to imply 'may you hit it off and have a fun relationship'. Which'd include going to the prom together if you both have time that evening.
So let me rephrase: Have fun on prom night, if things work out and you both want to go.
All this just goes to show how silly it is to assume ones meaning is clear in posts, where you don't have body language or tone of voice available, I suppose. Emotes and *actions* are only a substitute, after all. *Embarrased smile*
*
As an aside, would people here consider this emote to be smiling, or does its mouth look more like a flat line to you all?LGBTA+itP
