You realize that that is a very passive-aggressive asshattery-ish to give someone information, don't you? If you get so upset about people asking for information from their fellow human beings rather than from a search engine, I suggest you chill. Now.

Re: Murphy's Law 8: College? What About It?
I may have spoken too harshly to you, but thank you for doing that.
It could well be that I'm oversensitive. I find it extremely annoying, but the real issue here is what Coffee thinks.
Edit: What I typically do is Google it (because I'm curious) and then post a link. That way, I also get a reputation for being omniscient...Last edited by Asta Kask; 2012-08-12 at 08:43 AM.

Yes, yes they are but their second album Still Got Legs has a lot of songs that you can enjoy even if you don't watch Dr Who. It's just the title of the last comic reminded me of one of their songs.Avatar by me...yup that's how good my drawing is. As in not very good.

I use braces (also known as "curly brackets") to indicate sarcasm. If there are none present, I probably believe what I am saying; should it turn out to be inaccurate trivia, please tell me rather than trying to play along with an apparent joke I don't know I'm making.

Damn. I've gotten your national parks confused yet again.
Still... There were volcanoes in the general vicinity of Yosemite National Park a few million years ago if I'm reading the Wikipedia article correctly. 78% of all DM's start their first campaign in a tavern. If you're among the 22% who didn't, copy and paste this into your signature and tell us where you DID begin.
The players woke up in a prison cell, with the crown prince of the realm, and an old stranger with his eyes sewn shut. (I ran the whole thing on less than an hour of planning per session)

Re: Murphy's Law 8: College? What About It?
I have to ask, what happened to all the posts of discussion and analysis? What happened to half my readers who used to post all the time? Nobody mentioned the first panel here...
Don't get me wrong, you are all awesome, but I wonder what made the post level drop so much. I guess a lot of it's my fault and I need to post more.My webcomic!

Re: Murphy's Law 8: College? What About It?
My theory is that this is page, ittle new info is introduced to actually discuss, and most of what's revealed or shown on the page we know already: Miles is tired as f***, Hyperion and Murphy are getting suspicious, pushed on by Rust, and Miles is doing something risky and big.
I do find it interesting that Miles is able to insult Hyperion (albeit in a way he deserves... heh heh. Perry), imply that his time is more important than the king's, and then refuse a direct order from the king with the Cleric General(?) right next to him. It's really quite astoundingHate me if you want. But that's your issue to fix, not mine.

Re: Murphy's Law 8: College? What About It?
I can at least say that I haven't been showing up as often because I've been packing for college. And I suppose that nobody mentioned how awesome the first panel was because you mentioned it yourself - you already know it's great-looking, so anything we say about it will sound like we're parroting.
Plus, this last strip falls into the "falling action" portion of this arc. The climax has already occurred - we're just holding our breath for the resolution. The post rate will probably jump up a little once we a) see said resolution or b) encounter a big twist of some kind.

Re: Murphy's Law 8: College? What About It?
One unique thing about this comic is that you didn't show Drow as jerkass elves, even deconstructing comic like OOTS and goblins portray the drows as evil (But Goblins only has incompetent drow PCs and a drider prisoner
). Is Murphy's Law the only one to portray Drow as victims.Spoilerwho was totured by now dead racist half-tree rangerLast edited by t209; 2012-08-17 at 06:51 PM.

Re: Murphy's Law 8: College? What About It?
Evil races in D&D were created so that PCs could kill with impunity and without moral qunadaries. It sounds harsh but that's the way it is. So they're pretty heavily established as bad guys.

Re: Murphy's Law 8: College? What About It?
Then they created Pansy Nureyev¹ (aka Drizz't Do'Urden) so players (judging by NWN PWs) could turn drow society into a cloning machine of blackskinned crybabies.
¹ Pansy, because of all speaking of "weapons of death". Come on, that doesn't make it any scary even for a one year old. Example of bad writing. Describe the weapon a way that is scary, not with empty words. Nureyev because of the continual "dances of death", see before, describe it so we see it as if a dance.

Re: Murphy's Law 8: College? What About It?
How about Driders? They are drows who are turned into half-spiders for something about violation thingy? Plus the driders could be Drizzt wanna be who were not too lucky to escape from authority. It's kinda sad to see them in Goblins as prisoners under that racist half-tree ranger.

Re: Murphy's Law 8: College? What About It?
Driders (in standard D&D) are Drow men who failed a test their goddess puts everyone who wants to advance from 9th level (I think) to 10th level. They live on the outskirts of Drow cities and eat Drow that come too close.
