"It's all I have," John shrugs.
Some parts of John are easy to see. He's got a lightly armored cased with serial numbers that match military use if put through any sort of search engine for such things, his 'face' is a combined LCD/Holographic display and he has speakers built into the sides of his helmet and various sockets that look like they should plug into something important. Some wires and tubes are exposed, but discovering what exactly they do and why they are exposed would require taking John apart, though several tiny spots on the tips of his fingers where the sensory suite's more advanced tools are located are visible.

Pink girl waves back!

Mia will continue to observe John. After she made out all the obviouse parts of his body she mumbels a few words. She casts a spell to scann John. She wants to find out which material where used to build him and most important what kind of energy keeps him running. She assumes either a regenerativ source or a powerfull source.

Should I mention that MDM is over 9 feet tall. Since Mia isn't going any step through the pink girl MDm has to stay as well. He still waves at the girl, but doesn't do anything else right now.

John is actually human, and his chest, head, and upper legs are still mostly flesh, but affected by some sort of necrosis that has eaten much of his organic spine, though most of the important stuff has been replaced with cybernetics and the necrosis is kept in check by some sort of life support syste, built into his armour, which is mostly titanium and ceramics. His arms and lower legs are entirely robotic, made out of the same material as his armour, and powered by the same hydrogen cell.

The pink girl trots over to MDM and tries to reach up to its head in vain, looking rather silly and a little adorable.

Mia sights after her scan get through. There she hoped she finds a small power source or something alike and then it's only a cyborg. She leans on the table one hand at her side the other one hangin down. She still watches the cyborg, but she doesn't seem as intressed as before.

Well MDM isn't that kid friendly guy, indeed he is just a robot without a gender. He will raise one of his mighty hands, which should be able to grab her whole head, what he is trying to do. (in a way to leave her face open)

The drow fingers her bass and nood;es around with it, eventually starting agroove.

John shrugs and pulls his bow out as well. He draws it once across his violin's strings, slowly, and the leaves around his feat begin to swirl faster and faster, though the air in the room seems to have stopped moving.

John stands up, one foot on the table, and the speakers on the side of his helmet begin to hum softly, ready to add whatever sounds might be needed.

John takes a deep breath. His holographic display dims.

He plays.

The drow smiles serenely and grooves right along with him!

After a few measures, she launches into a much faster, complicated baseline, challenging John.

Instead of trying to match it, John plays alongside her, complementing the tune, content to serve as the water cooled barrel to this machine gun of a duet.

The drow smiles, clearly pleased! She keeps the bassline going, and throws a wink at John.

The pink girl just listens in awe!

John's holographic display lights up as he 'blushes', but he quickly regains composure and stops for a moment to nod before showing off a bit himself.

It's sad that the pink girl seems to ignore MDM. That way his grab seem to miss her. The big robot doesn't seem to mind and just watches her.

Mia waits until the music is done before she speaks up to the cyborg guy.

"I wonder what happend to you."

"What do you mean?" John asks as the song slows down, "A cursory checkup says all systems are standard."

MDM grabs her head and she immediately starts bapping at his harm.
That's my head, let go please.

Mia narrows her eyes.

"I meant what happened that forced you to replace your body."

Mia isn#t that good to say if it's just rotten meat or an illness or something, well not without a closer checkup.


MDM tries to hold her up so that her head will be in front of his head.

John stammers for a moment, flustered, and then sighs, setting his violin back in its case.

"I guess it's out, then. I've been pretending to just be a robot for the longest time now, it hurts a lot less than discussing this."

John sits down and raps his fingers on the table.

"I'm actually human, and I suffer from a condition known coloquially as 'localized necrotic nervous disorder'. In certain parts of my body, my nervous system 'thinks' that the limbs or various parts are gone, but they still actually work, which led to my limbs and spine being slowly-and painfully-eaten away by necrosis. I had to get this suit to stay alive, and where I'm from, there's a major stigma against cybernetics and the like. I couldn't keep a job, none of my friends would talk to me, so I did the only thing I could do.

I joined the Death Korps. A lot of soldiers with terminal illnesses, waiting to die for their homeland. I was a pilot for a fightercraft, with a life expectancy of three hours once in combat. Only problem was, I wouldn't die no matter what happened to me, and human euthanasia or leaving injured soldiers behind is a criminal offence. After a while, the stress of it all-the fighting, the wanting to die, the brain damage the pilot implants caused after long term use-which nobody even knew happened until recently-it all built up, and I was declared unfit for duty," John sighs and his holoscreen flickers as he looks down at his legs and shakes his head, "I was forcefully retired with a meager pension, and took up a job as a violinist at a techno club near here, but a few months back, when the original Empire fell, the club was destroyed in that big fight, and now I've nowhere to play or live."

John slumps down further into his seat.

"And that's what happened to me."

Mia listens carefully. She waits a few moments befor speaking up to him.

"In my world you could say people want to be cyborgs, but we got some rules for that. But as with everything people want to have there is a 'to many'. So you would count as a fanatical in my world, which isn't much different to the thing in your world. I just wonder why you tried to appear as a full robot."

"When I was...'retired', they reprogrammed me. They felt it was more humane to get rid of my memories of war and suffering, and for a while I was someone entirely different. A pacifistic musician, torn apart in a crossfire and put back together, vowed never to kill again. The fact I was forced to wear a suit of armour and had a pilot's helmet grafted to my skull didn't make it easy to believe that for too long. All it took for me to figure it back out was getting a neurosurgeon to reactivate the parts of my brain the real memories were stored in. But no matter how fake it obviously was, I was still the new me, and I couldn't stand to think or talk about it. So I didn't," John takes the last 'bite' of his bamhacon, "It was easier that way."

The drow looks sad for John.

Her cell phone rings and a text comes up!

Her face falls as she reads it and clenches her fists.

John relishes the chance to focus on someone else's life's problems.

"What's wrong?" he asks the drow.

[Dark Elf Bard]

Her eyes water as she snaps the phone closed. My parents.

[TechnoScrabble]

"I...thought you said they were assassinated?" John asks.

[Zefir]

Did the text message of their assassination arrived right now? If so she should look for a new mobile phone.

"Robotic and Mind manipulation." She shakes her head.

"Deus Mechanicus could help you against this illness, but there is no way to get anything back of what you already lost."

I lied, okay? It's like a cover story so I don't get treated differently.

"You don't need to lie to-" John stops himself right there.
"Yeah," he says in an admitting voice, "I don't have any room to talk there. So what's wrong?"

She wipes her eyes.

I'm adopted. I live with an elf mom and dad. And I'm a princess in the elven forest.

And I have to go back to choose a husband.

But I don't want to marry.

"Ah. Feudal marriage. Have you tried explaining to your parents that women earned the right to vote a few centuries ago and that you don't quite feel like marrying this chap?" John shrugs, himself hailing from a rights-filled future.

She shrugs. It's tradition.

"So? Shooting people you disagreed with in the face was a tradition for centuries after guns were invented and we all got over that, didn't we?" John says, clearly annoyed with the dark elf bard's (cwatididthar?) parents. He then spends a quiet second thinking.

"What if you tricked them into thinking you were already married or betrothed to someone else?"

She's gonna pretend-marry John, isn't she?

That would work. They just want me to be engaged to someone who's not a dwarf or a terrorist.

That's not John's intention, but let's face it, it's gonna happen.

"Well, do you know anyone who's not a dwarf or a terrorist that you could bring over to fool them and trounce whatever chav they want you to marry?"

It may devolop into non-pretending.

Nope. I don't know any boys that are single.
