Thanks with all the help with the hair stuff guys.

EDIT: How often should one do the No-poo thing? I assume it's not necessary to do more than once every couple of months at most? And is it okay if I condition my hair every day, or should I only condition it after I shampoo it, making it ever 2-3 days?
It's not really ever necessary, so, as often as you like! I do it probably less than once a month, but it depends on what your hair is like. If your hair is damaged, you might want to do it up to once a week. Conditioning is less hard on your hair than shampoo, so you can do it every day if you want, but you don't have to.

Congratulatory hugs to Zorg. May the rest go as smoothly and calmly!
Compassionate hugs to Helio. Hold on. Hopefully, someday, you'll be able to look back on those moments, and laugh at them, or forget them altogether.

Sympathies for Helio (I'm sorry, it really sucks. :c ) and congrats for Zorg; I really need to keep up with the thread better.

I have a little problem of my own though. I'm back at my uni dorms now and there's going to be a floor meeting soon and introductions cause there's a bunch of new people. I'm sorta tempted to just introduce myself as Lena but also quite scared that that could backlash on me especially since I'd be doing it in "boymode" still. >.>

Well, "Lena" is a reasonably straightforward name, that could in theory be applied to a boy, especially if you take into account other cultures and languages etc. If it was something like "Susan" I wouldn't be recommending this, but there's the option of just going for it, introduce yourself as "Lena" and if anyone asks, just say "That's just what people call me." and if anyone gives trouble, report them. But I think most people just accept names, even slightly unusual ones.

Uni is a place for pushing back borders and finding (or displaying) who you really are. If you have the confidence, I'd definitely say try going in girlmode.

Unless you're in all-male halls, of course. That might be a bit awkward.

Thank you everyone for the hugs. The massive show of support really helps, even if it is just pixels. I feel loved

I'm not sure how often I'm supposed to shampoo it, or even what sort of temperature I'm supposed to do it at, how long I'm supposed to leave the shampoo/Conditioner in, ETC.

Also, I'd kind of like to watch some more LGBTA related media. Anybody have any particularly good suggestions? I like both Live-action and anime.

If you're going to suggest anything really adult, make sure to contact me off the boards please.

Don't have much news. Going to try and start working on my voice tomorrow.
Netflix has a category for alternate sexuality type stuff, though it's mostly documentaries.

What kind of hair do you have?
For curly, curly hair like mine, I've got a book that recommends using no shampoo at all, ever. No brushing, either. A dab of coditioner, massaged along the scalp to loosen the dirt and sebum that dried on, rinse that out; Then conditioner the hair to the consistency of kelp, and let that sit for a bit while you wash the rest of you. Rinse it out, but be sure not to wring out your hair at all. When toweling off, hook your fingers into claws, and press the towel upwards like your curls are springs, and you are bouncing them.
It worked wonderfully, actually, along with putting my hair into a loose braid when I went to sleep.

For regular hair, everyone else pretty much has it. Hotter water is "bad" for your hair, but that's unsubstantiated. In general, any cleaning regimen that reduces the amount of brushing you have to do is a good idea. Brushing is bad, but having a rat's nest is worse. Pulling your hair into severe styles, like extra tight ponytails is bad. Letting your scalp get all icky is bad.

You can fix that last one by just separating the hair, and letting some air get to the scalp though, along with a light massaging.

I compromise and use my fingers, but they make brushes and combs specificallly designed to be used in the shower with minimum issue.

I generally find once every two days is good for hair. I like to wash it quickly with shampoo, concentrating on the roots, but not agitating the scalp too much. Then putting conditioner on my fingers and running it through my hair, concentrating on the ends. The roots are dirtiest, the ends are oldest and most fragile. I don't leave either in very long (my entire shower routine from clothed to clothed is about ten minutes.) This has worked very well for me. If you want to do some luxury, a no-poo wash is great. Have a bath (or a really long shower), use loads of conditioner, rubbing into the roots and brushing gently through with your fingers. Then leave in for 20 minutes and wash out completely.
    what? But... How?!?
I go from dry hair to slightly matted, soggy hair in twenty minutes o___o[

Then/than definitely, but it's very common (at least with English accents) to make very little vocal distinction between are and our.

in American english, Hour is identical to Our except perhaps in slight inflection changes. Are has a totally different flow; though I have to qualify this as being able to hear the "direction" of the vowel sequence. Are declines, starting at a high point and picking up velocity downward. Our angles outsied, like a curve ball, receeding from the viewer/listener amd returning at about the 'r'. This may or may not make any sense to other folks though.

And then you spend time around people with minor speech impediments and various accents and find that there's a whole plethora of ways that words will sound the same and then sound different from the same person.

Accents don't matter, though a creole or thick enough patois can throw me off slightly. No, universally through dozens of differing English inflections, the only people who mispronounce these words in that fashion are also the ones who would use the wrong word when typing. The ones who laugh and correct me for pronouncing the second T in a "tex message".

Well, I'm sorry you've had to deal with so many people like that. I guess I should count myself lucky for not having run into many people like that or at least, not getting trapped in conversations with them.

I believe that's the "correct" way to pronounce "our" - my grandmother certainly pronounces is to be homophonic with "hour". In more informal parlance, though, it frequently gets truncated to just the one syllable.

And I'd be honoured. Why me though?
