Re: Are these forums the homebrewiest?
Heheh, I suppose it would be pedantic to point out that "anniversary" specifically comes from "annus", Latin for "year", and "versare", Latin for "to turn" ("turning of the year" being something of a direct etymological definition)?

Risada and I were working on something similar for BlazBlue at BG - some of the disciplines are becoming broad enough that they could stand on their own.

Re: Are these forums the homebrewiest?
It's a smaller board, your post is lengthy (requiring a great deal of attention to assess), and you have less of a reputation there. Give people some time.

Re: Are these forums the homebrewiest?
GitP definitely has way more homebrew going on than anywhere else I've seen...but not 4th edition, which is what I do. If I posted my 4e homebrew, would I get much feedback, or is there a better place for 4e homebrew?
PS: EN World is good for 4e, but not too many people give feedback on homebrew.Dubhshlaine, Elf Mage, in Eberron D&D 4e

Re: Are these forums the homebrewiest?
My homebrews get a lot of views, and usually 0 replies. I take this to mean that they saw it and didn't find a problem with it. Either that or they saw it and realized it was so bad that they couldn't bring themselves to summarize how awful it was...but then again there's always someone out there willing to say just how awful anything is.

Re: These forums ARE the homebrewiest!
Be fair now: Wizards nuked their community, drove off the great majority of the 3e old guard, and castrated vast portions of their old homebrew content, such that it may never be seen again. They also "upgraded" their website to a dysfunctional eyesore. The WotC boards are not what they once were.

Re: Are these forums the homebrewiest?
I hated the new WotC boards so much that I gave up there. I was even a moderator for the previous edition monster board for a while. It was so disappointing to see it all go down hill. Nevertheless, that is the place to go for 4e.
Paizo has had some busy forums. Now it is mostly Pathfinder (and I'm not as familiar with those rules). They've been running magic item contests (the earlier contests are for 3.5 but it's all compatible stuff) and there's a lot of neat stuff in the archive.
As a die-hard 3.5 player, this has been my go-to forum. I try to comment on stuff but I'm not good with classes and prestige classes. There are more experienced people for those things. I generally stick to monsters. However, if you really want good feedback, put up as much of a finished item as possible. It's hard to critique unfinished products.
Camelot, I don't critique 4e at all. I've never even played it and barely looked at the PH. It could be that we don't have much for 4e here.

P.E.A.C.H. Please Evaluate And Critique Honestly. Being nicer and kinder doesn't hurt either. Note I generally only critique 3.5 and Pathfinder material.
Please, please, please when using non-core material, cite to the books. There are too many books to wade through to find the one with the feat, special ability or spell you use.

Do it anyway. We've got two variants on Truenaming here, and both are pretty awesome. Make it a competition! Strive to improve! Go above and beyond!

Re: Are these forums the homebrewiest?
Yes, but my biggest problam is names that I realise are not good after I get used to them. I named a god anilo, and I don`t want to make him sound like a god of destruction (if I did, I`d call him Avadon [the hebrew word for doom]).
And from my personal observations, threads that get the most comments, from big amount of comments to a small number:
Pointless threads that encourage little feedback (birthday threads are the expection)
Topics that become a debate.
Topics that encourage posters to make up stuff.
Homebrew that is broken mechanically, but the fluff is nice+.
Homebrew that is mechnically ok.Madly In Science, an RPG in which you play mad scientists, you can get it for free.
Spoiler: Some other things.
