Smalltown
As I'm being lynched in three games I have time for this.
Pick your roles out of these 12.
Roy: Beast, kills whoever kills him or whoever puts the final vote on him.
Belkar: At any time while alive, Belkar can make a kill that will then kill him.
Elan: Can cjoose one player each night, during the night that person can use their ability one more time.
Haley: Can choose a person each night and sees who they target.
Durkon: Can bane someone each night. Can’t protect himself.
V: Can choose a target each night. Can see who targets that player.
Thog: Can target a player each night. If that player is targeted by a night kill and without being targeted by Durkon, Thog dies instead.
Sabine; Chooses a player each night they cannot use a power.
Nale: Can change a player’s target each night without the other player knowing.
Hinjo: Has a double vote.
Ciela: Knows who targeted her.
Shadowjumper: Chooses a player to hide behind. Can’t be effected by night kills against themselves but will die if their target is a suspect for a night kill. Can’t choose the same person twice in a row.
Eight people will have a town alignment.
Three people will be the mafia with Xykon, Redcloak and the MitD. One person sends in the kill instead of their night action.
One person is Miko. Her kill can't be tracked and she can kill and use her power at the same time.

Re: Smalltown
Colour me interested. What are Miko her win conditions? Also, am I correct in assuming that it's possible to be, say, both Redcloak and Roy?

Re: Smalltown
I'm interested too, but slightly confused. A lot of the roles are about seeing who targets who, but who can do the targetting? Does anyone get scries or night kills?

Re: Smalltown
Umm, if we pick our character publically then that means everyone knows our ability. Shouldn't we do it by PM?
Not surprising that Freshmeat picks Roy or that he does it publically :)

Re: Smalltown
The nine of you gathered together in the clerics room while carrying Roy’s body, both the order and the guild agreed that team Evil had to be stopped. The room was lighted by a single candle.
The cleric yelled at Roy’s body while he crushed the needed diamond. “Come to this world Roy come to this world.”
Then the candle went out and the Cleric yelled. “You, you have been possessed by Miko be gone fould spirit, groan.”
One of you lit the candle again and saw the Cleric lying dead with a dagger in his back. On the dagger was a note. “Hats of Disguise don’t leave home without them – Team Evil”
Emperor demonking, the resurrecter was killed
Day begins.

Re: Smalltown
A bandwagon on me on day one. Yeah, not fishy at all. Cough.
Fortunately, I can offer a much better target: Griever.
Allow me to explain.
There are only ten of us. If we can assume that Demonking stuck with his three-man wolf team, then they win when six people remain.
But not if Griever turns out to be a wolf, as then they can win when only eight people remain. Griever his vote counts double - under normal circumstances a marginal abiltiy at best, but now potentially decisive.
If Griever is a wolf, then we lose tomorrow (when either 7 or 8 players remain, depending on whether Team Evil or Miko run into baner protection or not). It doesn't matter if either of them do, because one of their kills going through is enough. As long as Miko doesn't kill a wolf tonight (statistically probable), then we lose tomorrow if Hinjo (Griever) turns out to be a wolf.
So logic dictates we kill Griever to get rid of that possibility. Better safe than sorry.
While we're on the same topic: if you guys lynch me, you stand to lose a second villager. I think it's safe to that that the wolves won't be stupid enough to be last in line to vote for me. So then you've reduced the playerbase to eight after merely one day. As long as Miko kills no wolf during the night then, you stand to lose tomorrow morning (before the second day even rolls around), even if Griever turns out to be innocent.
As long as we can find a wolf, everything will be fine. But in these early stages of the game, being incautious will make us lose.
I'm not a wolf and, as far as I can see, I'm not more suspicious than any other player at this point. Until we can base our suspicions on some night actions, let's lynch someone (or no one at all) that won't give the villagers more of a blow (a doubled one, to be precise) than they can handle at this point.Last edited by Freshmeat; 2008-05-24 at 11:58 AM.

Re: Smalltown
I should vote for Roy, after all, Haley voted for him. But if I do that Roy will whack me and I don't want that. Nale wanted to kill Roy, why did Haley agree with him? Elan summoned his conscience, looking for help.
"Kill Nale, he has it coming. Besides he started to try to get everyone to kill Roy."
"You should listen to Roy, he's you're leader. Besides Nale was randoming pointing."
"Oh yeah, let's trust the guy who stabbed you, pretended to be you, tried to kill Haley."
"He's your brother, besides-"
"No, not again, you're not bring her into this."
Elan ignores them as he shakes his head. He starts singing, "Roy, be right, be right, be right about Hinjo." (Griever)Last edited by Dragoon; 2008-05-24 at 03:54 PM.
