Re: Diplomacy PBPM - Concert of Europe
In light of my reception of a whopping FOUR sets of orders for Fall 1906, I'm going to extend the deadline indefinitely. It's one thing when one person NMRs, but it's another thing when over half of your players don't submit orders. I'd like everyone to seriously think about their commitment to playing this game and write a post about it. Also, if you haven't submitted orders yet, the sooner the better.

Re: Diplomacy PBPM - Concert of Europe
Wow... okay, lame excuse but what with the ending of the other games I'm in and the extension in this one, I'd accidentally just filed this away as another game that had died. When I saw the post about orders being due (fall 1906) I assumed it was "restarting" like CoW and that I'd already submitted orders.
And it's exams! Which everyone else has too, I'm sure.
Orders submitted. It says signature, but when I tried to sign my name, I just got pen on my computer screen.

Re: Diplomacy PBPM - Concert of Europe
I'm definitely interested in continuing play. I'm really enjoying this game, and it would be a shame to see it die. But, if only four people submitted orders, we might not have much choice.

Re: Diplomacy PBPM - Concert of Europe
Okay, unless anyone else see's something I missed this is updated and accurate map.
I am still interested, but obviously I have only had one round to get myself involved in it. Hope others choose to continue. If not I would be interested in playing another. I just started DMing one that should be starting next week and depending on how that goes, might be interested in running another one as well.

Re: Diplomacy PBPM - Concert of Europe
Alright, we're now only missing two sets of orders: Turkey (Raveler1) and Austria (Strategos). Since Grey Bishop has asked to be replaced, I'll give whoever replaces him some time by skipping next week and spacing out Fall and Winter 1906. So this is what the schedule will look like:
Thursday by 10:00 PM EST - Last chance for Turkey and Austria to submit Fall 1906 orders, fall turn processed
Sunday by 10:00 PM EST - Retreat orders, if applicable, due
Wednesday by 10:00 PM EST - Winter 1906 build orders due
The following Tuesday - Back to normal with Spring 1907
The Thursday-Sunday gap is because I'll be out of state for the weekend at my older brother's college graduation.
Hopefully I can find a replacement for Japan quickly and everything will go well.
Sound good to everyone? After all, it is your game, I'm just here to make it run smoothlyish.Ramm in Lords of the Elements

Sounds good... by the wya, in the future, when the map is posted by "guest-posters," could you have jdip include the province names? Not that important, but it would save some time.

Re: Diplomacy PBPM - Concert of Europe
Alright, sorry about being a night late but when I got back from New York State yesterday afternoon I impulsively decided to drive to Vermont for the Brattleboro Dawn Dance - a folk dancing festival from 8pm Sunday to 7am Monday - then found out I had job orientation at 4:30pm today - so it's been a busy couple days.
Anyway, from the look of things, we needed two retreats - Turkey's F Eas and Russia's A Afg. I have no retreat orders in my PM box, so both of those disband.
Build orders due Wednesday.
Also, I haven't heard from anyone yet about taking over for Japan, unfortunately. I'll let you guys know if/when something comes up. If nobody wants to take it over, Grey Bishop has said he could still submit orders for Japan, he just wouldn't really have time for diplomatic negotiations.
Even more also, do you guys think I should try to replace Austria and/or Turkey at this point? I have yet to hear from either of them, and it's been nearly a week now. Given that nobody has agreed to take over Japan yet, the odds of getting replacement players for the other two are slim, but I could try if you want me to.Ramm in Lords of the Elements

Japanese Government in Turmoil!
After a quick round of lucrative conquests, Japan has descended into conflict with itself. The Emperor is nowhere to be found, and Japanese forces abroad stand still in the empire's holdings from Karafuto to Ethiopia. No word yet on any resolution to this sudden halt in Japanese actvity
French Forces Pushed Back
A recent spate of military defeats has resulted in the reduction of the once-proud French nation to a single territory. The last remaining French army is digging in for the spring in Portugal as English and German troops occupy the rest of what was once a major European power.

Re: Diplomacy PBPM - Concert of Europe
Alright, that's probably as good a response as we can hope to get, so it's official - Suvarov454 will take over Japan effective immediately. In the interest of fairness, he will have to leave France, so that unit will just be considered to be in civil disorder. Oh yeah, and Spring 1907 orders should have been due tonight by 10:00 PM EST (GMT-4) tonight, but since I didn't give a 24 hour warning, I'll accept them up until Wednesday night at 8:00 PM EST - I'm working in the morning, and I'm not going to wake up early to process orders. If I get them all by tonight, though, I'll post them tonight.
