Every adventuring group needs a true buzzsaw....and for the Tri-Goddess party, that buzzsaw is named Taleira. Her blades are only a flash of silver that is impossible to follow, about the only sign of what they are doing are the bits and pieces of devil ichor that fly about in the room in the wake of her swings. When she finally finishes, the last two devils have been put down and she doesnt even need her last swing, even though she gives it one last poke, just to make sure. She does get damaged by the barbs, but its nothing she cant handle.

With her heart still pounding against her chest, Melinda seeks a quick confirmation from those with more developed senses. "That was the last of them in this room, right? Nothing invisible?" She quickly gropes for her pathfinding thread in case they need to retreat out a different door than the one from which they came. "Who's most hurt?"

    Listen:(1d20+29)[43]

What was she -doing- here, anyway? They should have brought Szer instead. Her arrows would have made this far less painful...of course, there was a reason why that winged amazon wasn't with them for this planar foray. That wily woman knew what was best for her own hide.

Melinda is easily able to pick up the thread of her Find the Path spell, it is still glowing brightly for her.
With the battle over for now, the party can take stock of the room that they find themselves in. It is clearly some sort of games room, with several card tables and pool tables in it. There is even a roulette table in one corner and a craps table in another.

With the battle over, the nymph stops singing, but keeps humming along her song, hating the thought of starting a song but not finishing it. "I hope this doesn't hurt too terribly, Tally, you must be quite resilient to have handled such a scratching without complaint. I hope you don't think me too forward, but..."

The heal from Ireth feels quite good actually, and all of Taleira's wounds are gone. Sword is still licking his shin at the moment, where the barbs of the demon pierced him as he kicked the fiend in the head. Several other members of the group have some injuries as well.
Lil's search of the room picks up no secret doors or other hidden surprises...although she does find that some of the dice at the craps table are loaded, at least one of the decks of cards at each table is marked, and there looks to be some magnetic constructions underneath the roulette wheel.
The four amulets on the devils prove to be amulets of natural attack, useful for a monster that relies on claw attacks. All of them are +5 in enhancement.

Dot quickly identifies the magic of the amulets, and holds them up for the group. She dismisses the bone demon with a wave, and it vanishes.

"Interesting. There's some high-powered magic invested in this place, all right. Atareth, if it's not too impertinent to suggest, a chain that's big enough to go around the neck of one of those demons would also fit Sword nicely, and these would do amazing things for her hoofs. Hooves? I can never remember."

She passes out the amulets to anyone else who thinks that they can use them, keeping one for herself.

"Nothing on the door. The games here are just as crooked as you'd expect from a gambling den on the outskirts of hell. Melinda, I'd say that whenever you're ready?"

The air elemental lifts her higher again.

During the time the party is in the room, the bebilith will probably disappear (assuming we spend 2 minutes here).

Lildorrinene says, "Can I have the best healers - those with knowledge, not just spell - look everyone over, please? We'll figure out how best to apply healing. Better to use what spells we have than charged items. I am not wounded."

Lildorrinene will also take an amulet, and considering that clothing-like items (such as amulets) resize for their wearer, putting one on Sword should not only be no problem, but considering that its (she says "its" not "his") hooves are its only attacks, he should have priority.

Sword, Dot, Lil .... Lildorrinene will look at Ireth. "Ireth, you are a druid, yes? Are you the type that changes into and fights with the form of beasts? The amulet would serve you well if you are."

"My compassion may aid someone more knowledgeable in the body," says Atareth, who sports some fair injuries herself. "I have seven uses of cure light wounds, as well as a heal I'd like to save in case things get truly grave."

When Lildorrinene mentions the last amulet, Atareth makes a move to raise her hand, but stops when the succubus asks about Ireth's powers. She nods her head and lowers her hand, and appreciates the willingness others have to help Sword be more effective with the team.

"I know a bit of medicine," Melinda volunteers. Completely unhurt herself, she concentrates on looking over first Tallesin, then Atareth, and Sword. As she looks over the barbs on Sword's legs, she seems to get confused. "I'm clearly not much of a veterinarian, though," she confesses. Having surveyed the extent of Atareth's wounds, she heals the deva, then suggests, "Atareth, you should tend to Sword. I'll be less able to help him."

Melinda ushers Tallesin to the side of the craps table. "Tali, come here and help me with Tallesin. He impaled himself pretty badly." She makes sure Tallesin is seated stably, then goes to meet Taleira. The two of them share a few words as they make their way over to Tallesin's table.

But you can cause his flesh to part around the barb, so we can instead extricate the whole spine without further harm to him."

The clanging is continuing as the elemental sinks into the floor, however moments later, it ceases. You are not sure if you hear some soft chanting or not. After at least a minute passes, the elemental does not return.

"Chanting, hm?" tepes Lil. "Melinda, how long does that find spell of yours last? I'm half tempted to simply walk away, wait for whatever spell they cast to diminish if it is a very short-term spell (by round)."

Melinda is suspicious when the clanging stops, and is downright alarmed at the onset of chanting. She doesn't wait for the elemental to return. The instant Melinda hears chanting, she herself issues forth a sound. It starts as a vowel coming from between her lips, but within a second it morphs into a quintessentially annoying drone, broad yet pure, that seemingly issues from nowhere in particular. It doesn't penetrate the arm's-reach shell of sculpted sound that she has cast, however.

"And if it's Clairvoyance?" Melinda tepes back. "We can't take that chance." With the fluidity of a seasoned warrior drawing a weapon, Melinda takes out her tambourine.
"When I open the door, I'll move in as far as I can and drop my sound-sculpting effect. Ireth, throw a dispel in just ahead of me. Everyone else do what you do best. Ready?"

Dot knows that if the elemental isn't back in a few seconds, it's not coming back at all.

"Fascinating. Next time I'll just have him look through the wall. A null-magic field, perhaps?"

At Melinda's suggestion, she takes a look around in the hallway. She conjures another air elemental, and gestures for it to bring her up towards the ceiling.

"Well, it's not clairvoyance, not scrying of any kind, or I'd pick up the sensor on this side. Still, whoever is on that side isn't going to become LESS ready for us anytime soon. Let's do this."

She casts a fresh version of a popular magic to sharpen everyone's reactions.

I'm assuming that Dot's Arcane Sight isn't picking up a magic sensor for any kind of divination?

She'll bring in another large air elemental, and cast Haste on the group.

The door opens to reveal what is obviously a training room for warrior types. All of the walls are covered in all sorts of exotic and mundane weapons or ranged missile targets or practice dummys. However, those things are not of great interest right now, seeing as the room also contains 4 very large and very active fighters...all of whom seem to be just waiting for the group to come through the door. Dot does not see any signs of persistant magic in the rest of the room, however quite a few of the fighters possessions glow. In particular, their armour, their shields and their swords show the most power, but there are some other, smaller items on them as well. They do not show any sort of spell like effects however. Of the elemental, there is no sign left, except for a small pile of dirt about where he would have come up out of the ground...now that she sees that, Dot is able to recognize the chanting she heard earlier, one of these warriors was able to dispel the creature, sending it back to its home plane.

Melinda goes forward with her plan. Knowing that one of their foes is both martially and magically capable, she doesn't want to let that one benefit from spells. After all, that's Tali's trick, and it's too effective to be allowed.

She lets her momentum from opening the door carry her forward into the training room, and with a rattle from the tambourine shatters her own shell of sculpted sound, letting her drone fill the new space. Her positioning leaves a clear avenue for those behind her to follow, hoping that quick movement would minimize the threat of being pinned in the doorway.
