Humm. I'm on my phone and AFB.

Would Meph be an acceptable "Ancestor"?

Fiend Warlock: Perhaps 'Stealing' power from the Fiendish Mage Master?

But, it sound like you are wanting a
Gloomestalker Ranger for Archery and Stealth. With Stalker to be able to hide even in Dim Light, while being invisibile to Darkvision.

Not sure if this is too Multi Attribute Dependent (MAD) but:

Gloomestalker Ranger 4 (for Stalker feat)
    Fiend Warlock 4 (for ASI)
    Shadow Monk 4 (for ASI)

    Past 12th level:
take +1 Ranger for Extra Attack
And then go pure Monk for Shadow step.

    Does this sound about right?
Yeah, this was the direction I was looking towards. I just wasn't sure how well it would mesh, thanks for your input.

How would you make a character that is flavored similar to a lycanthrope? By this I mean they have two forms, they are a martial at least some of the time, and they can transform at will (to some degree, it can still be a resource)
This could be using tensers or guardian of nature and flavoring it as a transformation, or any other spell. Somehow flavoring druid wildshape, or maybe barbarian rage.

Rules: no ua, no homebrew (this means no blood hunter lycan), no broken dmg "player" lycanthropy

Shifter race might work, but I would like it to have transformations more than for one minute the whole day.

By raw. I would use a changeling race and when i want to zoanthrope out i would turn into a shift.

Can be accomplished with 2 warlock qs well. The disguise self invocation.
    Spoiler: I am the
    Show

Khrysaes = Thanks for joining us!
To stay RAW, Shifer might be best.

Lythari Elves (SCAG) (a type of Wood Elf?) that can shapechange into wolf (it doesn't say how often) but do not have a Hybrid form.

I mean we can still flavor things as that while still using raw mechanics...
And I didn't know about this wolf thing! I must find it now. ...
Edit... oh.. there's no stats for them.. so I guess they're not playable. Now I'm sad.

    True, there are no stats.

I'm assuming they work in much the same way as Wood Elves, except instead of increased movement, they can change into a wolf (or back into an Elf) as an action. Their stats most likely remain the same in both forms.

The DM might put a number of shifts per short rest, so if you're interested, ask.
