Golem turns to face the cyborg and begins to walk towards it. It gets to within 10 feet when it stops and stares at him for a moment.
"People need to be protected, where am I needed? I will protect. I will protect. I Will Protect. I WILL PROTECT!"
All around Golem would notice that the air around them is beginning to heat up as Golem's metal begins to turn red hot and also large blades come sliding out of Golem's forearms which when extended fully catch fire. Golems eyes change into red fiery orbs that begin to scan the terrain looking for threats. It is a terrifying sight...good thing that it is on the good side.

Moon Called watches as Saurous prepares for the spell, morbidly curious. Was she nervous? By the Hells, yes she is. She's about to get her bloody arm melted off in a ritual she didn't understand. She had no idea if it was going to hurt or not, and she wasn't really willing to ask out of suspicion the answer would be 'yes, quite a bit'. But, quite typically, the Ice Elf did her very best not to let her discomfort show, watching her lover with an expression of grim curiosity.

When he pulls out the diamond, though, her expression changes dramatically. Her eye widens, before a smirk pulls at her lips and her eye narrows. Looking down, she lifts her good hand, studying the ring finger intently.
"You know, dear," she says, dryly amused. "If you just carry those big rocks around with you, I have to wonder why I'm not seeing one on my finger..."

"Well, obviously it's because I can't jus..." Saurous begins, before trailing off once he realizes what Moon's saying. He gives her a dumbfounded stare, the terrified stare of a deer trapped in the headlights of an oncoming tractor-trailer. It's amazing how simple things like this can utterly ruin his imperturbability in ways that throttling a shoggoth could not. His surprise is punctuated by a final resonating pulse of energy.

The necromancer regains his composure commendably quickly, comforted somewhat by Moon's sardonic smirk. Hopefully she won't jump down his throat if he flubs his explanation. "Well, you know that I've been trained in magic practically since birth, right?" he begins, placing the remaining diamond fragments off to the side of the tray. "With that comes some level of perfectionism and...a bit of a hang-up on rituals. I always feel like important events like...that need to have some sort of massive significance behind them, some sort of associated event that makes it perfect. I just haven't found that perfect moment yet."

He pauses for a moment to pour water into his little concoction, forming a small pool of glittering red ink in the bowl.

"There's also the fact that I unleashed the vengeful spirit of a pavilion structure with a deep-seated hatred of all love onto the world, but that could probably be mitigated by staying the hell away from gazebos."

Second, I am fine with Golem dying because I created it to protect people...and in the process gave him weapons sorta like the blades that Optimus Prime has in the Transformers movies. Lastly, I apologize for ruining the moment between Tirin and Elena...not the most thought out plan that my life has had thus far.))

Golem looks down at Ace, and as it does so he sees a glint of golden light near where its neck joins with its body...is it a pendant, a necklace? It looks like it is trying to tell if he is lying but it being made of metal, it is hard for Ace to tell. Then satisfied with its attempt to sense deception it looks up towards the MagMart and nods.
Maybe she is...I hope that she is. I have not seen her since the siege.
A sense of sadness can be detected in the Golem's voice as it says this. Golem begins to walk towards the MagMart, cement buckling slightly under its weight.

Ace flashes the golem a toothy grin. There's a reassuring nonchalance about the man, a sort of forced cheerfulness that implies that everything is going to be okay. Yeah. He's got this figured out.
"So, Alphonse," Ace says as he follows after the golem, his already long stride hurried to keep up with the giant metal man's. He's careful to walk far "Yer looking for a friend'a yours? Why dontcha tell me about her? I know a lot of people around these parts, maybe I've seen her?" As he walks, Ace reaches into the air and suddenly there is a deck of cards in his hands, which he begins to shuffle absent-mindedly.

When the golem goes storming off towards Magtok's voice, Ace blinks after it in surprise. "Woah. Calm down there, Alphonse." He calls after the golem, hurrying to catch up. "No-one's gettin' hurt. An' I don't really think that these blokes," he says, throwing a glance over his shoulder at the massive amount of Umbrella Corp weaponry assembled around the heavily barricaded super-market, "are quite in dire need of your protection." He reaches out to pat the golem on the arm, but manages to stop and rethink this when the golem's arms turn into giant blades of firey death. "Er... C'mon, why don'tcha put those away an' we can go look fer your friend, huh?"

Iriel will heft up her bags. She puts on a backpack, fanny pack, and a tote bag or small duffel bag over each shoulder. When she sees all the guns, she makes a "wow" face, but says nothing.

After the explanation, Iriel nods. "This," She holds up her left hand in a fist, "if I want to speak. Otherwise, complete silence. If you say 'left,' we will take the left path. If you say 'right,' we will take the right path. If you say 'wall,' get to cover or flatten yourselves against the wall. Right."

This is the utmost in five-minute stealth training. Honestly, if more escort missions could begin with setting a number of commands for your escortee, many video games would be much easier.

Beckett pauses by the door as he listens to Iriel and Nach'tt repeat his instructions. The medic is apparently satisfied with their answers, though, and he nods quietly. "Good." He says simply. Turning to the door, he pulls it open a few inches, just enough to peek through. Pulling his pistol from his holster, Beckett leans over to peer through the cracked open door, pointing the pistol through it.

There is a long, tense pause. Beckett makes no sound, holding his breath. Finally, he straightens, pulling the door open all the way open. He nods at Nach'tt, motioning for him and Mitta to head out, and then for Iriel to follow.

Moon's dry smile might have been a genuine expression, taking amuesment from her lover's attempts to keep her from getting upset. But it just as easily could been to attempt to calm Saurous into a false sense of calm so she can get a straight answer from him. Womenfolk are tricky like that.
"I don't think gazebos are going to be a problem in the foreseeable future anyway." Moon Called says, peering over at Saurous carefully. She is either satisfied with the answer, though, or too tired to scrutinize the necromancer, so her gaze softens. "Either way," she says, "I would like to get married before we all get devoured by Cthulhu."

Chunks of meat and bile smash into the ground around Eddy, Missy, and the huddle few civilians. That wasn't to terrible, all things considered. Just a really unpleasant sort of rain. Except this unpleasant rain will begin warping anything it lands on into mummified flesh.

And to make matters worse the Elder Sign offers only protection against the dire metamorphosis. Not immunity. So there's a pretty strong possibility that Missy and Eddy's armor might have flaky dead meat replacing the metal here and there.

To make matters worse the massive tentacle slams into the ground about a quarter of a mile away. The result is about what one would expect from such a massive object crashing to earth.

Raven has arrived! Probably with a few other people as well. She gestures toward the nearby building. "Go. You should find safety inside. Or as much safety as is possible given the circumstances."

Sadei is waiting by the door! She looks pretty injured... Though she isn't about to die from the wounds. Thankfully the chimeras are able to heal relatively fast.

Magtok will probably have a great view of that giant tentacle that landed nearby. And the giant cloud of pulverized debris that it threw up when it impacted. Said debris are headed toward Magmart! And that's no doubt terrible.

It's still really boring here. It doesn't seem like there's anyone here at all. No monsters. No cultists. Just... empty. Could it be that this place is completely empty save for that silly alarm clock?

Divaonar is here! And... Kind of at a loss. He's really not sure what if anything he should be doing at the moment. This is a place for the mortals to try to survive. So what good could he possibly be? The lad sits down in a hallway and slings his pack off his shoulder to dump it out. Inside are some various odds and ins he's collected thus far. A few shiny stones. A deep one skull picked clean of flesh. Half a yo-yo...

Not much fun to play with. But that's all he has.

Natalie's here! She's wearing a denim dress and a red rucksack; purple thread marking the Elder Sign painstackingly sewn onto her garments and rucksack. She's a ten-year-old girl with long black hair cascading all the way down her back and green eyes. She walks up to Divaonar. "Oh, hello. You're the first other child I've seen in this place. Do you want company?"

Outside Inside

Nephrim, having crashed into a field, starts to wake up. She brushes herself off and checks her Object. Fear is unbroken, fortunately. Unfortunately, she's lost one of her last guns. Taking one last look at the city, Nephrim heads off to the farmhouse. She's walking; there's no way she wants to attract the attention of the sky-tentacles again.

Maybe there's a vehicle in the farmhouse; a bicycle or car keys or something.

"I understand, dear," Saurous says, smiling gently. He takes one of his paintbrushes and dips it into the ink. "Maybe we could discuss it further after we get your arm back into working condition?"

With that, the necromancer gets back to work. He takes the metal band that he requested, turning it over in his hand a few times as he judges its size. His smile shrinks down into an amused smirk as an idea hits him, and he holds the band up so Moon can see.

"I'm not really sure what that Magbot was thinking giving me this," he says, the annoyance in his voice clearly feigned. "Even with all the muscle still on, your arm isn't nearly large enough to fit into this properly. We can't have that."

Saur sets the paintbrush back down upon the suspended tray, and takes the metal circle in his left hand. He makes a sharp motion with his right hand, and a focused stream of flame not unlike that created by a blowtorch emerges from his extended pointer finger. The flame is quickly passed through the band in two quick swipes, cutting loose a small rectangular chunk of metal. Saurous then presses the separated ends together, reforming the circuit with a hiss. He places the discarded fragment among the crystal pieces.

"It's a shame, having to waste all of that diamond and metal like that," he states, shooting Moon a sly look. "I just can't think of any possible uses for it."

((I thought the womb moved after a couple months to accompany the child which is where it would be if she was a couple months pregnant. She's only a around 3 weeks pregnant. I had the child already projecting emotions because Elena is one strange cookie))
Elena eeped as the bullet hit the ground, she moved deeper into the humvee.

"It was probably trying to make some subtle joke about me being fat." Moon Called guesses as her attention is called to the band. She peers at it as Saurous laments its largeness, raising her eyebrow. "It's... not actually that large, what are you..." she begins, but trails off after a moment after she realizes what it is, exactly, that Saur is doing.

As Saurous affixes Moon Called with his sly look, she returns it with a much more genuine one. There is relief in her face, along with a surge of joy and excitement. She grins widely at Saur, glancing down at the metal band and the bits of diamond next to it.
"Saurous Kaer, I swear to all twelve of the Gods if I wasn't stuck to this bed I would jump up over there and kiss you harder than you've ever been kissed."

Saurous attempts to put on his best innocent expression in response to Moon's excitement. "Now, I'm not sure what could have possibly prompted that outburst," he says. He runs a finger along her forearm before taking her hand in his. "But something tells me that you should hold onto that feeling until we finish taking care of your arm. Who knows? You may find a special prize once the surgery's over."

The boy obediently puts on the face mask, then looks up at the two soldiers. "We're not going to make it, are we?"

"Gods dammit, Saur." Moon Called says. When Saurous reaches to take her hand, she responds by using it to pull him closer, before letting him go and use her newly freed hand to grab the necromancer by the collar of his robes. "Stop being such a sarcastic bastard and get down here."
That said, she pulls Saurous down sharply, lifting her head to meet him. The kiss she delivers is at least twice as forceful as the one she delivered to him earlier at the party. It is so passionate that Buttercup and Westley wouldn't just blush and turn away, but complain to the manager about how they were being totally inappropriate.

Once she's done, Moon Called releases Saurous, breathing heavily. "Okay." She says. "I feel better now. Let's get this over with, hm?"

Meanwhile to keep this post from being totally OOC, Maggy and the Magbots quickly find places to take cover, as the cloud of dust and debris kicked up by the falling tentacle mentioned earlier in a Rebo-Post are right about to hit. Those poor saps in the parking lot probably won't be quite so lucky, though.

Maybe if Mag's lucky the debris will take care of that angry golem, too!

The people in the humvees do lock them down, closing the trunks and pulling down the guns and closing up the top hole. This happens in the humvee Elena and Tirin are in.
Elena just smiles despite everything in the hug, choosing not to talk.
((It might be a good moment to say that Elena was only had a tiny bit of cat DNA spliced into her in her later adult years. Everything else is just Umbrella's successful attempt to graft stuff onto a human. Also, her entire hips(skin and all) are from a demon(a lust demon to be specific). The baby survived because she's only 3 weeks pregnant and, while I'm not a doctor, I think that it wouldn't have even touched the baby what with it still being ridiculously small and not even in her abdomen area yet))

Edijar breathes a bit heavily, audible to everyone. As the dust settles and clears, they'll find his shield falling to pieces, with his left arm noticably smaller, the armor having withered with the mummification, crushing the arm within. For a moment, he's in excruciating pain, but his armor is still functional enough to administer a heavy dose of painkillers. With a grunt, he reaches with his good hand and tears off the destroyed shield.

The rest of his armor is still in one piece, as is his helmet, so it luckily hides his face. He straightens up and flicks his good wrist, letting a long slender blade slide out. "We aren't too far. Missy, take one, I'll take the other. We'll fly out of here. You'll be safe, I swear." He promises with complete conviction.

Saurous's feigned surprise turns into actual surprise when Moon yanks him towards her, and he just barely manages to maneuver himself in such a way to avoid knocking his equipment tray out of the air. The metal circle drops to the floor with a clatter as he is pulled down to meet Moon's face. From there, he simply enjoys the moment as he's expected to, bracing himself from falling further forward by placing his arms on opposite sides of her pillow. Once she releases him, he lingers in this position for a few moments, pressing his forehead against hers and matching her breathing. "Um. Yes. Let's...do that."

He then pulls himself back up, stumbling a bit as he gets back to his feet. He silently retrieves the band from the floor and gets to work etching glistening red sigils into its sides with his brush. He neglects to un-dishevel his shirt as his focus is immediately redirected towards the letters.

"My antigrav is damaged. I've relegated it to emergency use only," Missy says, on the radio line to Edijar. And then, to her son on the speaker on the outside of her armour, she says, "But if we don't, we'll be taken on ships from the Grey Havens to the Paradise Planet. And when we get there, your dad will be waiting."

Missy scoops up the boy in her arms. Even without flight, she thinks he's safer with her than with Edijar, because her armour is in better condition.

Golem slows down upon hearing Ace's words, his body cools, and his weapons retract. It stops and turns toward Ace, getting down on one knee. The golden glint from earlier turns out to be a small golden locket on a long chain that goes around its neck. It slowly reaches for the locket and with a tenderness that is hard to believe for such a brute it gently opens the locket.
Inside the locket is a small picture of a girl. She looks to be in her late teens, a darker tan complextion, a cute smiling face, with an overall innocent appearence. She is in a white dress, what looks like a wedding dress and she has a bouquet of desert flowers in her dainty hands. On the inside part of the "door" of the locket is an etched phrase.
"Golem, thank you for protecting my family and I. You are my one true friend."

Moon Called runs her tongue along her lips, savouring Saurous' taste as he steps away. At first she opens her mouth to say something, but when he picks up his paintbrush and gets to work she falls into a respectful silence. If she'd learned one thing in all the years she spent with Saurous, it was that magic users typically worked best without distractions, and they often got rather annoyed if you pestered them with silly questions while they were working.

So Moon Called waits until it looks like Saurous is putting the finishing touches on the band before she speaks up. "So, um. What is that thing for, exactly?"

Ace stands on his tip-toes to see the picture in the golem's locket. He narrows his eyes at it, his face twisting into an expression of concentration as he tries to see if he can recognize the girl, but there is no luck. Shaking his head, Ace rolls back on the balls of his feet so he's standing flat-footed.
"Sorry, Al." He says, helplessly. "I don't recognize her. But maybe someone inside does?"

Ace opens his mouth to say something else, but he is interrupted by the massive, rumbling thud of something unimaginably huge hitting the ground a few kilometres away. The magician glances over his shoulder, and his eye opens wide as he spots the massive chunk of flesh hitting the ground, watching the cloud of dust that forms up around it.
That wasn't good.
"Aw ****. C'mon, Al!" he says, turning and jogging towards the door of the supermarket. "We need to get out of here before that stuff hits us."

Inside

"My antigrav is damaged. I've relegated it to emergency use only," Missy says, on the radio line to Edijar. And then, to her son on the speaker on the outside of her armour, she says, "But if we don't, we'll be taken on ships from the Grey Havens to the Paradise Planet. And when we get there, your dad will be waiting."

Missy scoops up the boy in her arms. Even without flight, she thinks he's safer with her than with Edijar, because her armour is in better condition.

Inside

Edijar will kneel down to allow the foster mother to climb onto him, shifting his crushed arm slightly to keep a good grip on her before nodding to Missy, telling her to lead on. As they go, he draws a rather large calibre pistol from his belt and after some fumbling, manages to load it with a special clip of ammunition. The nagging question of how the magic effected him gnaws at his mind, but he shoves the thought away for now, concentrating on the matter at hand. However, he knows that as soon as he gets back to the MagCave, he'll need the useless limb removed and replaced if possible.

Just being near this horror will probably kill them right out. That honestly isn't going to be doing much good in the least. And to make matters worse here comes a huge dust cloud from that tentacle crashing into the ground!

That cloud of dust is incoming. Missy and Eddy might want to find some cover before it hits. because there's almost certain to be unpleasant things in there and breathing that smoke might pickle your lungs. Or worse.

There are several buildings inside, including a butcher shop. That might be a good pick since the freezer is probably air tight.

Divaonar smiles at the other child. He looks to be about eight, for the record. "I think there might be a few others. And company would be nice."

He glances down at his 'toys'.

"I could do with something better to play with. But Magtok would probably get upset if we mess with his stuff."

[MagMart Parking Lot]

Raven joins Sadei at the entrance to the shopping center. They can both feel it. Something bad is about to go down and they need to be on their guard.

The necromancer looks up from the band as he finishes the final touches on one of the symbols. He takes a few steps closer to Moon's bed, holding the simple silver circle around the first three fingers of his skeletal hand so that she can see.

"Well, this is basically what lets you control the arm. The entire mechanism is based on a lattice of metaphysical fibers that are all routed back through the symbols, which each correspond to a specific point. The large one, here-" he points to the symbol at the forefront, one a bit bigger than the ones around it. It resembles a large H positioned atop a circle, somewhat like an ornate staff or an antenna "-is what links it all back to your mental commands. The diamond in the ink is supposed to be what focuses the connections between the parts of the arm and your thoughts. There are a multitude of reasons for why it can do that, even when in a powdered form, but they all mostly boil down to the layman's explanation of 'magic is attracted to shiny things.'" The crimson ink gives off an unnatural glow, no doubt due to a combination of the powdered gemstone floating within it and some sort of background magical radiation. If Moon's observant, she may notice that the larger diamond crystals remaining in the ink have somehow aligned themselves with Saur's straight, even etching.

The Golem hears the giant crash and spins its head towards the sound, it rapidly knows that something bad is going to happen because of that crash. Its protectery senses kick in and it moves behind Ace to protect him from the debris that will innevitably be coming this way.
"Stay in front of me, that blast will be hitting soon and as long as I can protect you, you shall not get hurt."

Well, Jakob wasn't expecting them to last long. In fact, he mostly just needed to buy time. You know, so he didn't get smushed flat. As it turns out, he narrowly escapes. Yay! Unfortunately, the cloud of dust likely impacts him head-on, distracting him enough to prevent him from launching another attack.

A kitty and a pixie are apparently still here! They are also apparently looking for books! The kitty does not know why, but he does know that he is currently a steering wheel and thus cannot be much help in looking.

The mice keep up their guard as Vicky has to think fast to try to fight a big goo monster thing. Hmm... There is something inside the window... but no, she's not gonna go in there right now. Hmm... Think... think... Vicky facepalms. "I'm in a mindscape, not the physical world, I can just..." She focuses on a very familiar image to her, her trusty, watch-issued crossbow. Focusing as hard as she can, she tries to make it appear and launch a bolt straight at the monster thing's head!
