'Twas the night after Summer, when all through the school
Not a person was stirring, not even a Mr. Hool;
The textbooks were placed on the shelves with care,
In hopes that the students soon would be there;
The teachers were nestled all snug at their desks,
While visions of homework danced in their heads;
And the principle in her sweater, and I in my hat,
Had just settled down for a long administrative nap,
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the couch to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the blinds and threw up the glass.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen leaves
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature car, with four tiny wheels,
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must the superintendent.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;
"Now, wheely! now, wheeler! now, spinny and spinet!
On, spare wheels back in my trunk, do something!
To the front of the school! to the front of the lot!
Now drive away! drive away! drive away all!"
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When he meet with an obstacle, speed around else he die,
So up to the front door the car he speed,
With the car full of paperwork, and Starbucks too.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard at the door
The tapping and shuffling of each of his feet.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Right through the door the superintendent came with a bound.
He was dressed in a suit from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all perfect with gold and silk;
A bundle of paperwork he had flung in his briefcase,
And he looked like a lawyer just opening his pack.
His eyes -- how they twinkled! his handkerchief how merry!
His shoes shone like gemstones, his belt embroidered in silver!
His smile gleamed like the mid-winters snow,
And the chin perfectly shaved, wouldn't you know;
The hint of a breath mint could be seen through his teeth,
And the smell it encircled his head like a wreath;
He had a stern face and a little round nose,
That shook, when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly.
He was tall and plump, a right jolly old guy,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself;
A look of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the desks; then turned with a jerk,
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, out the door he goes;
He sprang to his car, to his wheels gave a whistle,
And away they all sped like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Schoolyear to all, and to all a good-night."
Istari left the school he was the superintendent and the narrator
Man you will not believe how hard it is to come up with words to switch out in some of those parts, the wheels was to only really bad one though. Hop you guys liked it

Hm.
VA Bedsis 16th, and 16 is the square of a square; therefore, he's a wolf.Last edited by Internet Flea; 2010-08-31 at 10:52 AM.

Re: Schoolyard WW - Game Start
Lynch me later but I think Internet Flea just made an unintentional slip here. There is nowhere I can see that mentions what the wolves of this game are yet his post quite clearly implies that squares are wolves here from my point of view.

Re: Schoolyard WW - Game Start
Just to put a stop to this before this gets out of hand. I'm the Popular Student aka Seer so squares been wolves seems extremely feasible from my point of view.
You're trying to explain away a potential slip of the tongue as "it's just a lie"? If Internet Flea turns out to be a wolf, you're next on my list Lil Shiro.

Re: Schoolyard WW - Game Start
Crys sighed as she entered the front door to the school. She was really enjoying the summer holidays as well. It always seemed as if they ended one week too early. It was still rather early in the morning, she always had to wait for the rest of her friends to arrive.
That's when she noticed a small crowd gathering around Fleeing Coward. That itself wasn't a surprise, he'd always been rather popular. What was surprising was that he seemed to be getting a lot of negative reaction. After asking around a bit, she discovered it was because he had called Internet Flea a 'square.' Crys shook her head at this.
After the crowd had dispersed a bit Crys walked up to him. "Hey FC, I know your usually first to hear about the latest trends, but I think you got this one wrong." She smiled at him "My Dad calls people square when he's trying to be cool, I don't think it's gonna catch on." She noticed one of her friends coming through the door. "Well, gotta run see ya later."As your time spins and sets what you love you can forget this I hope, I believe it's insomnia fantasyA2 S3 Connor, The New Albion Guide To Analogue Consciousnessthe tortoise had a dream that he was free. when he woke up, he was married. some things are better than freedom.freedom, kōan 129. koanoftheday.com

Re: Schoolyard WW - Game Start
You can go ahead and kill me if you want, but I might have something up my sleeve that I will use to kill you if I die, even if we are on the same team. So yes, I feel bad for voting for you, hope you don't die, yadda yadda yadda. In fact, since you're a seer, you can check to find if I am a wolf or not? So feel free to do so when that time comes around.

Re: Schoolyard WW - Game Start
I hereby change my vote through the following mini story.
Shiro (that's me) crossed Fleeing Coward off his list of... Somethings. Because you would be a pretty stupid Werewolf to pretend to be something as important as the popular kid. Any smart Werewolf would just pretend to be an ordinaryvillagerstudent. So Coward obviously wasn't lying. Shiro then coughed and blew his nose into an already dirty tissue. Damn this cold of his was annoying. He then caught a glimpse ofInternet Fleawho changed his story from choosing the 16 because it was a square, to choosing the 16 because it was one less then 17.
He also hopes Fleeing Coward will forgive him. He hopes that because he doesn't want to have to throw a tissue at his own teammate.Last edited by Viera Champion; 2010-08-31 at 12:03 PM.

Re: Schoolyard WW - Game Start
HypoSoc glares at Fleeing Coward from behind his thin glasses. From his experience, popular kids were the devil incarnate, not some sort of heroic, all-knowing savior. For all he knew, popular kids would snap at the crack of a fingernail, and he didn't want some rich idiot making school any worse.
SpoilerAlso, why pick on flea. He chose 16 because it's 16, that is not a change is story. There is no reason behind it, so why overanalyze it?
Also, FC may be the Popular Kid or not, but that isn't necessarily a villager role. Think Mean Girls.Last edited by HypoSoc; 2010-08-31 at 12:03 PM.

In between periods, Shiro found that someone had anonymously left a note on his locker door. sigh yes it is true, making him once again change his vote back to
Fleeing Coward.
That's my second change already. Wow.Last edited by Viera Champion; 2010-08-31 at 07:25 PM.

Re: Schoolyard WW - Game Start
I got an anonymous note too. However, the problem with anonymous notes is that they're anonymous, and thus we can't follow them back to the source to lynch him if they prove to be false.
Also, the only one who could, at this point, actually know that FC is lying is the Seer, and I somehow doubt the Seer has access to a mass anonymous messaging service on day one.

Re: Schoolyard WW - Game Start
I changed my vote back to FC because I wante to the note didn't really have much to do with it. Though it did have some part, but it was mostly just convenient timing.

Don't really want to lynch him for just joking around, but I also don't wanna lynch someone claiming Seer day 1 either. So yeah.

Re: Schoolyard WW - Game Start
Tydude silently opened the back door to the school, and quickly sneaked inside. Somehow, he had completely missed that today was the start of school. (And by that, I mean I didn't know the game had started ) As he ducked into closets to hide from the teachers, he noticed a commotion in the main hall. Something about Internet Flea making a bad joke. He tried to avoid those types of things. As he got to his locker, he noticed a slip of paper. After reading it, he couldn't resist himself but to enter the battle against
Fleeing Coward. That guy had always kind of been like, well, a coward. (Sorry Fleeing Coward, but I just don't trust a seer role claim on day one. Also, awesome song )Last edited by Tydude; 2010-08-31 at 06:19 PM.

Re: Schoolyard WW - Game Start
A lot of work to do... I've got to plan for the Dungeons and Dragons Club this school year...
...Hey, is that a note in the official DND Locker?
...
...It claims Fleeing Coward may be plotting the downfall of this club. Best to take care of this while it's just a level one Kobold, and not a Kobold Army...
