Alarmingly, the synth-girl seems actually pretty intrigued by the idea.

The elf nods, heading off; she'll return about twenty minutes later with several plates stacked high with quite good - if unidentifiable - food.

"She does have a nice outlook on things," Vaenesh agrees, taking a position on the side of the pool, near the gathering, and Shrike in particular.

Talnissa nods, chuckling as well, and opening up a compartment in her arm, from which she draws a swimsuit, which seems as though it would probably fit Pass quite well.

"I figured you might not think to, so I grabbed one for you before we left..."

Aiden will only take one of the plates, and he eats it more quickly than might be expected. "Thanks. This whatever-it-is was pretty good."

"Wow, what a shame," Tina drawls at Pass. "Guess you'll just have to do without." Sounds uncomfortable.

Tina almost seems to hear Denvark's whale-ish moaning, but can't quite place the source. She looks around, puzzled.

The elf nods, smiling at him.

"You're welcome. I'm glad you liked it."

With that, she collects the empty plate, and heads off.

Aiden gives a small wave. "See you." He then gets back to writing, taking a few breaks for exercise. He hadn't done that enough in the past few months.

Talnissa and Pass get funny looks from Pavati, but she's not the judgmental type, even if they are a little odd. The selki pulls herself up to sit on the edge of the pool and makes waves in syrup with her flippers.

The elf can't return the wave, as her hands are full, but settles for a quick smile and a nod instead.

Nothing will interrupt him again for a while, though if he doesn't come out for lunch, the tattooed elf will be back again.

Pass accepts the swimwear with a smile and nips off to change into the navy two-piece; she returns and goes to step cautiously into the... pool of syrup.
Anyone looking will find that the teal designs on her face and arms are continued on her legs and torso.

Aiden isn't a very social person, so the elf will probably head to his room again, while he's doing a set of one-handed push-ups. "Oh, hey again," he says.

Meanwhile, the other robotic undead slips out of her dress, revealing that she's wearing a not at all modest ice-white bikini under it, and slides into the pool.

Tearing his eyes away from the horrid sight for a moment, he manages to blurt out a not entirely sexy response to Pavati.

"Well if you wanna be boring, I guess that's one way to look at it." Pavati says, very clearly amused. Looks like she never had her heart set on any sort of agreement from the devil after all.

Shrike chuckles and winks at Tina. "You know, I'd say I like the way you think, but I think I already have," the exotic Exalt says with a chuckle before nodding to the arriving Vaenesh.

...then gives Kal a dirty look.

Kara, meanwhile, decides that removing her outer garments to reveal a scandalously modest, green two-piece is in order. So that's what she does.

Slipping into the pool... of syrup (sorry, my brain is having trouble getting over that ), Pass looks around at the others, noticing the strange shark-man down at the bottom, wondering why he's down there anyway.
She replies to Tina's earlier comment.
Thankfully, my companions are more sensible than I am in matters of preparing for syrup-bathing.
... Yeah, okay.
She waves over at Kara.
Kara, the syrup is not unpleasant to immerse oneself in. The experience may well be worth the rigors of hygiene required afterwards.

"I wouldn't be too familiar with that particular super power, nor any special abilities related to mothers." Ekkehard smiles, despite the intimation that he has no mother.

"I'll see you at the restaurant sometime again," Emily says. "Watch for ambushes on your way home, Ekkehard." And she'll take her leave and head home.

Of course, Ekkehard might try to trail her to find out where she lives, but that's up to him.

Calvin gladly takes the number. And figures that she may come across a situation where she might need someone with his skills. Though he probably wouldn't be able to help with a weird plague.

Probably not, though he probably could break into quarantine successfully if he were to choose.

"Remember, Calvin. You have to decide the kind of man you're going to grow up to be. That decision is always yours." Charity says. And with that she seems about to let him go, until she remembers. "I brought you another book. This one is of poetry." She offers him a thin volume of Maya Angelou, with her favourite poem bookmarked. "This is easier to read than Civil Disobedience. It's written by a woman whose ancestors were in the slavery that Thoreau was rebelling against. She was born about a hundred years later than he was."

Slii looks from the screaming man to Taul and then finally to Mitchal with a chattering yellowed grin, "Slii is with NO, and NO takes no death contracts. Slii will not be paid to infect, man-things need no fear of him." Then he turns back to the screaming man lying in bed, shaking his head rapidly.

"Man-things think they are plaguebearing, but they are not? Odd-weird it is. Slii scurry-comes because he is immune to sickmakings, but this is not what he expected. How do healers change sick one's minds?" Slii doesn't seem to notice, but one word in particular does not sputter from his lips in his whiny, phlegmatic voice. Instead it rolls out in a deep cultured baritone that sets his own skin, and possibly the skin of those within arm's length, to crawling.

"Very carefully," CB states simply. Of course, neither of the robot have any flesh to crawl.

"Inside... me?"

The patient appears to be somewhat surprised and is suddenly distracted from internal potential doom by external potential doom.

Erin, pulled aside by Taul, listens with a frown, nodding. "That...makes sense, I guess. And that's strange. Has anybody attempted putting the paitents inside an anti-magic field?" she suggests.

Taul might notice her eyes are still glowing, solid green, instead of the normal-pupiled Spice-blue they were when she arrived...

A drow, who was sitting in a small alcove off to one side, nods, and hops up, coming over to her.

"It is. I take it you're here for acting, not writing or effects, since you specifically asked about auditions? We don't have anyone else here for that just yet, but I can have you do some readings, maybe run through a scene with you on my own, if you're good, or at least worth teaching.

Oh, and since you're a tiefling, let me know if anyone gives you any trouble about that. Interpersonal problems, fine, we're all going to have those, just don't let it get dangerous, and, secondarily, since you're more important than the show, don't let it get in the way of the play. But I do not tolerate the kind of petty crap involved in having a problem with someone's species; you're you first, then an actress, and whatever else you are comes later. It'll be factored into picking your roles, obviously, but so would someone being an elf, or a catgirl, since all of those affect how you look too."

Calvin takes the book of poetry and quickly flips through it just taking a quick look at it before tucking it away.

"I'll be sure to give it a read. And thanks for talking with me. It helps me keep thinking."

Because sometimes he feels it would be easier just not think about any of this stuff. Just do what he is told and shut down his brain. Having to decide who he is going to be is hard, and he is often confused. Even when he wanted to quit though he never could escape his thoughts, so he feels relived to have someone that he might be able to trust to share them with.

"Er, yeah, lunch would be good." Aiden stands up and dusts his hands off. "Hey, you're probably going to come here pretty often. You got a name?"

"You can call me Kaeasi, if you like. What about you? Or should I just call you 'that writer who forgets to eat'?"

"That descriptor is accurate. But my name's Aiden," he says. "Nice to meet you, Kaeasi."

The elf laughs, nodding.

"Accurate, but long. Aiden is much easier. And it's nice to meet you, too."

Aiden smiles at the fact that one of his jokes was actually laughed at, and reaches for his coat. "So, what do you do around here? Just make the meals for everyone?"

"Actually, I just serve the meals, not make them. But I do the drinks too, and some of the singing."

"Ah, so you do more than I do," Aiden says while buttoning up his coat.

She shrugs, heading out into the hallway.

"I guess. You probably have a harder job, though; you have to actually create things."

"To be honest, writing isn't all that hard for me," Aiden shrugs again, giving a small wave as Kaeasi heads out. "See you later."

Why should Ekkehard follow her home when he can find that information out later through entirely legitimate means?

Although it seems Ekkehard considers taking a small flask from his pocket and releasing a tiny, purple-and-red-striped wasp and directing it to follow Emily home a 'legitimate means'. When that's complete, and the wasp has begun following its target, Ekkehard will walk in another direction to a small shack he's currently living in.

Huh. She'd figured putting on his coat and not ordering anything meant he was coming out for lunch, but... Eh. He'll be out later, if he wants it.
