Miko tries to join two other paladins for the New Year's meal. They're reticent but can't actually say "no" so they agree to let her join them at the restaurant they're gong to.

Miko points out that the staff have been known to play dice games in the alley behind the restaurant and starts shouting at the two paladins for booking at such a sinful place. The two paladins tell Miko they're actually a couple (blatant lies) and make their excuses to go without her.

The final few panels show Miko eating with only Windstriker for company.

I'm going to cast another vote for Therkla's arc.

edit: it contains also (IMO) the most epic moment of Elan.

I am with the crowd with the above opinion.

Otherwise: The suicide of the last paladin after Xykon throws his sphere of insanity (was that the name?). That is horrifying and heartbreaking both.

It was a mundane superball with a Symbol of Insanity on it.

Obviously, the saddest moment in the whole strip is the death...

Roy reuniting with his brother in the afterlife makes me tear up every time. "hi roy! wanna play blocks with me?" "More than anything." *sniffle*
Go not to the Dragons for counsel, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
