Is what the dude said. If owning the crown put him on equal level with the Fae, that would mean they are capable of surviving against 4 Captain level foes, one of which is one of the strongest Captains+Vizards, and the Commander Captain himself, who'se on par with Toho. Or am I confusing something.

That would probably a good idea. Both on the Wiki and here so everyone can see it. We don't need a repeat of the ARC....but call me leary as it seems that the power scale of the Brits are a bit on the High Side already.

Owynn standing up to that number of Captain-level opponents was more due to the nature of Crown. It:

A) Made him largely incorporeal, and thus very hard to harm.

B) Allowed him to temporarily drain a large amount of reiatsu from a large number of unseated shinigami, which further boosted his power.

Other Crowns will probably be less haxx than that.

Except for the head of the faction, but that's to be expected.

Well, I think thats a little unfair when the enemy/Enemies come straight into the Soul Society, lay waste in Soul Society, and all able bodied people don't rush to the defense. I would call that a little unbelievable...if not ripping believability into ribbons.

Soul Society has had at least....5 in game attacks resulting in wide spread death, destruction and mayham....the fact that most of the Captains would just sit on their hands and hum while an over Captain Level threat lays waste is frankly idiotic


To expect to survive that is just a little silly, if not completly insane. There has to be some reaction to destroying a good section of a single Division in the Home Turff of the Shinigami. They've gotten the raw deal on such assults time and time again, they honestly look a little more then incompetent where Defense comes in

The trouble is that in this case ganging up was the only option. Owynn actually sent out invitations to all the captains before transforming into a very conspicuous and obviously dangerous monstrosity. Not only that, he then started killing large amounts of people with a seemingly unblockable attack that grew stronger over time. When every wasted second means another casualty, going all-out from the beginning is the sensible choice.

After the second captain showed up he was fighting a loosing battle, it was clear that the big black blob was death throes and the only one it seriously endangered was said npc's and though I forget which one of you it was, one of you began dealing with that problem as the others ensured its death

Its more the fact he stood up and survived rather well for a time agianst 4 rather strong Captains. And that the Fae's power base goes from there by what's been posted.

I think thats where at least my confusion and worry comes from. It could be fully baseless, and if it is i'm sorry.

'NPC' is an OOC concept which doesn't exist inside the RP. The fact that the dozens of people who died didn't have a player behind them doesn't diminish the impact of their murder to the characters involved.

Far more likely said crown put him above the majority of Fae then, perhaps my characters words are the current beliefs of a man scarred by the Fae with imperfect knowledge. concrete details will come when Edge writes up the stuff for the wiki.

The attacks do bring to mind that the 13 and Espada each now have blockers up. For the Espada, this means that Ersch is now the only known way into the Gotei itself, with the rest having to jump to the ghetto and brute force in. Who, if anyone, is the bypass character on the Shinigami side? The Quincy are on total lock down due to a general lower power level and small population, and Cronos seems to be the Ersch of the Olympian side, on both accounts.

If Vi goes back to Soul Society after the Bount Arc, she can probably out-space Ersch. And if she can't, well, I honestly call shenanigans, because her powers are (aside from the hollow boosts) 100% space-manipulation-based.

Granted, she's also highly temperamental, still has a grudge against more than half the Seireitei, and would be hard-pressed to get involved in the war, let alone pretty much betray Mia like that, but.

There is no bypass at the moment, though they might be able to acquire one if they convince Vi to stay with them. Hopefully, the doubts that Hans brought up about Kusato's trustworthiness will die with him.

Ersch's block only redirects garganta that was not made by arrancar (read: Hollows are twisted as well).

Viatrix would be identified as an arrancar due to her Unbount situation, that if she did use a garganta, which she usualy doesn't, if I recall correctly. Non-garganta/void portal transport is not interfered with (because realy, what is a void portal if not a fancy garganta?).

Other than that, Isara could still open a garganta for the shinigami to use, as could Kayi I believe, or Adrian if he knows how to do it.

I just realized that I am a lying sack of villain. Toho has already revealed his z-pac's reality tearing ability. So, that's two who are capable, but the latter only does so during central plot scenes (if that makes any difference).

Note: Metta technically could easily bypass just about anyone's blocks (even the shrine's if he is tricky enough)...though we've already seen what happens when he tries to use 9th level spells/imitate the ancients.

Unless Metta can Hax himself into a Quincy, there is no way he can bypass the Shrine defense. Its not a jam, or a shield. Its something far more scary....and even then...bad things will happen if he attempts it. Very Bad Things.
