Re: Bibliography IV
This revalation makes me so happy!
Also, GajinManga, it'd be nice if you could remove the large introduction paragraph at the top of the page, perhaps put it somewhere new readers can find it easily.Awesome Iron Chef avatars by Neoseph7! Murkrow avatar of coolness by Introbulus!Spoiler

Re: Bibliography IV
... er, ok... why does that abyssal have crime scene tape all over him?

Re: Bibliography IV
Nice Homestuck reference! Also, didn't know they had Tin Angel's in Canada. Overall sweet page.

Re: Bibliography IV
Very unusual looking Abyssals there, so I'm gonna go and presume that either we're never seeing these codices descend again, or there's multiple Abyssal forms for each codex (or we'll have tons of identical weird things running round later in the story, who knows!)

Re: Bibliography IV
I never thought they'd look like that, I assumed they would all be sort of like the first one. Kind of... knight-ish.
I do look forward to seeing how other abyssals would look like. And I imagine down the road, they'll have another tiltstone war and be against a ton of these guys.

Re: Bibliography IV
I'm sorry but... the crossing tape just seems... off. I mean, Abyssals up till now have been painted as terrifying automaton killing machines and the tape just seems... clashy, i guess? i dunno how to put it?

Re: Bibliography IV
Do not underestimate the ferocity of the abyssal with the crime tape. It does not bear the caution in vain. Yeah, I agree with you on that. Automaton killing machines was the word i was thinking of.
Hahaha.

Re: Bibliography IV
Now see I was thinking that each Abyssal had an appearance unique to the person they used to be, with details added in that hint at their Codex. Take Roy for instance. He loved knights since he was a little kid and so when he descended he ended up looking like one, and even somewhat like the wooden knight he had when he met Tony. Then the extra eyes are added on to show that he was a member of the All-Seeing Codex.

Re: Bibliography IV
I'm loving the holy abyssal. I was expecting something really regal and B.A. but I'm pleasantly surprised by the simpler look you chose (though I'm sure it was by no means simple to draw). Well done.

Re: Bibliography IV
Well, Roy's transformation seemed to have been rather personal. The shape of his head was tied to the shape of his eyedolls and he met his fate in service to his codex, apparently well aware of the danger - a decidedly knight-like way to go.
I don't know if that's what was intended or not, but I wonder if there are any indications about who these two abyssals were before in how they look now.
Edit: I also think it's likely that Groundbound will be a multi-staged Abyssal, in that it will "hatch" during combat to reveal a more dangerous form.Last edited by Calemyr; 2011-05-24 at 07:42 AM.

Re: Bibliography IV
Huh, I think I've been reading too much Mistborn. Because I just now realized the Holy Abyssal was named Tin Knight, and the first thing I thought when realizing that is that we are about to see some very Spook-like badassery. Of course that might be a little tricky to properly portray in this medium.

Is Satomia a mix between Sivir and Akali, Elagune?
