The most basic tenet of the Lore is that should the mythical Shade be present and uncorrupted, the werewolves will stop at nothing to eliminate him. Thus it is to be assumed that should he survive but two nights, he is among the number of the wolves and must not be trusted, nor even allowed to live but one more hour. The reason for this haste, which might be seen as unseemly, is his particular talents – he is something akin to the Trickster himself, delighting in acting as a puppetmaster to the unwitting humans and werewolves. Should he be aligned with you, he is a most valuable ally, though his plans may lead individuals to their ruin for the greater good. But if he is aligned against you, to trust him is all but suicide.

This should replace the 'Rule of Shadow' text in the WW Central threads.

I see the accounts, I read the papers, I listen to the howling, but what good is it while I remain immobile here?
They do not fear me. But I have great fear of them.
And as I sit, I fear most of all the solitude, and I miss the Lieutenant-Colonel, with whom I feel I might have shared my thoughts.

The howling haunts me yet. I feel sure they are close, and have been for some time, yet they do not move, farther or nearer. They bait me, knowing I will not stir from this house for fear of the world beyond these doors.
And yet I cannot bear this torture I endure. If this is all I can do, what purpose is served by my seclusion? What purpose but my fear? Shall I then be paralysed or poised?
They are gone. They are off on their hunt again. I will follow. I know not for what. I fear I shall do naught but die, yet perhaps in so doing I shall do more good than I have done otherwise, or less harm.
Farewell. Should this log be found, having no family of my own, I leave all my worldly goods to the family of my friend, Lieutenant-Colonel Terrence Miles, and should he prove to be alive after all, to him as well.

And in a change of habits, they departed silently it seems, for I heard no more howls. The scene was horrific, the body mutilated, yet there was little blood. A few stains here and there, but it seemed a substantial quantity had been taken, though for what purpose I cannot imagine.
And yet this was not the most curious element of the circumstances surrounding this murder, for as I left I saw a note, pinned to the door. I cannot confidently state whether or not it was there when I entered the room, being, as I was, in a state of much agitation, rushing towards my assumed death. The paper is torn, so it may have come from a larger document, or simply have been torn off so as not to waste a full sheet of paper on so brief a note. The paper is also a little worn, so I cannot judge for certain if this note was written recently, for this purpose, or some time ago and merely used as convenient to deliver a message.
It speaks to me, though given my late reclusive habits, I doubt I was the intended recipient. The hand seems familiar, but I am no expert on handwriting.
I truly do not know what to make of this development.

I think it's just the username that gives that impression.

As for today, it's late and I have to be at work early so I'll refrain from voting for now. Maybe it'll come to me in a dream.

What I don't get is why Leta was night killed unless it was random (which doesn't seem likely to me). Maybe someone who has time to go through the thread can figure it out.

Well, it would help if you used the Gender Symbol option in the "Edit Profile" section of your Control Panel. It's near the bottom.

Ok so the only thing I have to say in defense of myself before people start lynching is that I'm the Fool and Rot was the first person I scried. I'm telling you this so that the actual Seer can know that they aren't the Fool.

0.0 Note to self, don't post on Werewolves when mildly pissed off. Will make you look like wolf.

I'm not a wolf. honest. Ok, you might want more than that. I'm the seer/fool. I dunno which. If it helps, I've done two scries. One on VampireRot, which showed he was a villager, and one on madeyegeorge. Also a villager.

When I made the post in question, I was, like I said, a bit pissed off, and VampireRot being lynched despite my...a bit crap, I admit...efforts ticked me off a little more, hence the post. I'm new to these games with their crazy amount of doublethink. I'm not expecting this to actually stop you guys from steamrolling over me, but when I'm lynched, and the fact I'm not a wolf is proven, perhaps the scries can be semi-useful for you. If I'm not a fool.

    bane plz?

Alarra, then. A wolf would jump on such a bandwagon. Then again, so would a villager.

I noticed Imperial Psycho post his role claim and delete it earlier, before Ramsus claimed Fool. Possibly relevant.

In any event, it seems unlikely that either of them are villagers, unless they have an unhealthy concern for self preservation ahead of clarity. Their stories both fit their previous actions (as far as I remember, someone with more time could check), though I doubt a wolf would role claim otherwise.

IP Seer, Ramsus Fool: Best to analyze another target, worst to lynch IP. We figure out that IP is the seer, hopefully.
IP Wolf, Ramsus Fool: Better to lynch IP. We only learn the fool.
IP Fool/Seer, Ramsus Wolf: Better to lynch Ramsus. No scry role info.
IP Wolf, Ramsus Wolf: Either lynch good, wolfbbq. No scry role info.

    IP Villager, Ramsus Villager: Wut

Ramsus seems the more optimal lynch, us having being manipulated into it however if IP is the only wolf of the two. Anybody else have thoughts on this? If one of them is a wolf, a seer/fool hasn't spoken up yet.

We don't lynch the seer/fool claims. Why would we? If we get a third counterclaim, then maybe...

And Baner on IP if possible: if you think you might've been compromized be careful. Ramsus claims fool while IP claims S/F.

I agree with lynching Ramsus. Either he is a wolf role-claiming, and we bag a wolf, or he is a fool, and we eliminate what is essentially a villager with the benefit of letting the real seer know who he really is. Win-winnish, the way I see.
