I think this one will be hard to top in the "Incredibly Unlikely But Might Be True" department:

I bet Goblin_Priest 5 quatloos that Xykon does not know RC has the phylactery at this point in the tale (#1139).

This is my favorite crazy OotS theory. I didn't make it up, nor do I believe it:
SpoilerGirard is Haley and Elan's time-traveling son.
He has hair strands similar to Elan, Nale and Tarquin.
His hair is red.
Like Elan, he uses illusions.
Like Haley, he has trust issues. (She got over them. It doesn't seem that he has.)
Coincidence? Probably, but it's still fun to think about.

-The "final boss" is Nale, who absorbs the power of the Snarl, becomes a blond angelic being (Why else would Elan dress up like Locke?), complete with Snarl-coloured wings and a goatee drawn with crayon. Plus, the first major villain they fought has to be the last one! Eith that or vampiric Trigak.
Time Travel Girard is my favorite definitely-not-going-to-happen theory, too. Don't forget that Girard has a ponytail (like Haley) and sometimes sports a goatee (which is obviously in Elan's gene pool)! Originally Posted by ORione

Their son is Nale, who killed Elan's real brother years ago and took his place.
