    (So it's pretty clear we aren't going to kill the boss. Or even visit that armory. I'm sad. Anyway, lets at least take care of what we can. Anselm can double attack the mercenary into the ground. The mages can do the same for our fighters. With luck, we can even manage to do this unharmed. Even if Tyler attacks, (and I hope he tries, then we can kill him), then he won't be killing anyone with that short spear unless he gets a critical hit. Rakken will be healed and attack the lower fighter, and he can soak one short spear attack if need be.

    Aran should move to L8, (no need to attack), we'll need him there if we want to reach that last village. Jalnir might as well visit the house on H10, he'll be close enough to the action next turn, and we'll be able to find out what the townsfolk have to say.)

    That is assuming that the boss will move if someone is within immediate striking range. However, we should put one of the units that has the highest defense/avoid within range to see if the boss is provoked enough.

    But first, I think we need to have the physical units act as shields for the magical units.
    If we want any new items, I would put Aran on L9, so that he can run over to the northern most village.

    (Rakken can take a hit from a Steel Lance too, if he's healed. Nathaniel will be on L9, both Wyverns can't attack him, they don't have Javelins. They'll probably attack Aran (On L8), but unless my math is wrong, he can take it.

    Missing would kind of suck though... I should think about that.)

    (Nathaniel only has 8 health though, and if he's frying the fighter, he's not using a Vulnerary.)

    (Yeah, it would be good for Aran to pick Nathaniel up after Nathaniel goes, since if he moves to attack the fighter, he gets in range of the Wyvern in R9, with 11 STR and a steel lance.)

    (I don't see why it would only be in that case. Unless I'm missing something, regardless of whether or not the fighter dies, Nathaniel will be in range for the R9 wyvern to turn him into paste.)

    (If Rakken is going to attack the fighter in M8 and Nathaniel the one in N11, then Lillian should heal Nathaniel and Aran should pick up rakken. This puts Aran closer to north villiage and makes it possible to try to pull Tyler towards us.)

    This allows our other mage to be healed, and if Rakken does not kill the fighter max 2 wyverns can attack Aran. Also, it puts him close enough to the village to visit it next turn.

    Katleia dashes past Gerard, spinning her bow into position as she moves to F18. Aiming down her arrow shaft, she points towards her foe. Breathe. Release. With a whizzing sound, Katleia attacks Garmond. The arrow flies towards her foe, hopefully piercing him. Without waiting, she draws another arrow, waiting until after her foe attacks before she aims once more. Breathe. Release. Another arrow flies through the air.

    Anselm surveys the battle-field around him, things were beginning to look desperate. "Milady Lillian, come help me for a moment." He signaled at Lillian. "Things are about to get bad My lady, I want you to get back to the castle after this." He looked up. "Nathaniel! Escort the lady back to the castle, tell Jalnir to get over here. We'll try and hold them all off."

    Anselm twirled his lance, looking over at Tyler. "I have an alternate suggestion, the king can come here. Without an army of sell-swords. I think a good sharp lesson will teach him." He leaped at him.

    (Anselm and Jalnir attack. Lillian heals Anselm. Nathaniel enables Jalnir to come help. Aran kills the lower Rider and escapes. If we don't manage to win now, maybe the boss will attack us on his own turn. And not kill anyone.)
    The only thing worse than an empty signature is one that has nothing at all to say. One that simply yammers on with little or no point; quietly, subtly draining away seconds of your life.

    The worst are the ones that look like they have a point. Multiple paragraph monstrosities that you're sure will have some sort of satisfying conclusion. Some sort of goal, to show that your reading was not in vain.

    It doesn't and it was.
