Abigail giggles. "Okay, then. Stulpe?"

A gem hanging around her neck flashes. "Set up."

Suddenly, Abigail is enveloped in a blue flash of light that clears... to reveal that her outfit has completely changed.

Not sure on a full description, but her right arm has a futuristic-looking gauntlet on it, that covers her upper arm and hand.

Shrike shakes her head.
"That was the Celestial Embassy. The Imperial Manse is in Creation itself."

Jamie stares, then grins broadly, and applauds.
"Awesomesauce! What can you do with that gauntlet? Does it work like my wand and all that?"

"So... umm... what do you two do when you train?"

"In a way. The gauntlet- his name's Stulpe, which actually means 'gauntlet'- basically handles the complex parts of spellcasting. He's an Intelligent Device, which means he can do stuff on his own initiative.

As for what I can do... I'm a Belkan style Knight- in other words, mostly close-ranged stuff. My body's especially good for that sort of stuff."

Jamie hops down from the counter, grabs a straw(!), and steps outside, raising it to the sky.

"I am the Druid Princess Mikani, defender of nature's beauty and leader of pure hearts!" she calls out, a gust of wind and swirl of ribbons accompaning her transformation!

The straw, for the record, becomes her wand.

"Oh. Huh. Sounds like... fighter type stuff."
That's not picking locks at all! Well... he understands the running through the woods part at least. Keep endurance up.

Abigail grins, and steps outside as well! "So, what do you want to be the goal? First blow, or capture?"

"Well, it's not like I can practice stealing things," Shrike points out.

"First blow," Jamie says, raising her wand in salute. "It'll be harder for me, though, 'cause I think my magic knows when somebody's really trying to hurt me or when it's a friend..."

Cierra is quiet for a moment. "W-well... it all kinda started with someone I met at HALO. She and I... well, I liked her a lot, but she had all these relationship problems. I didn't want to add to that, but, well... I ended up doing that anyway. It was a lot jealousy and hate and bad blood between people. And it just sort of got to me, and when I left and tried to get away from it, I just couldn't get it out of my head. So I made one bad decision, and then another, and eventually I ended up hiring an assassin to kill you."

Cierra shakes her head. "I-it doesn't make sense to me anymore, either... I'm not sure I can even remember it all. Or if it all happened like I remember it. All I know for sure was that I was really hurt, and desperate, and I was angry. I felt like the world owed me something that it kept withholding from me, and it just got all out of hand."

You can almost be sure that he understands what you're saying. In particular calling a graceful, adorable feline such as himself a brute! For shame!

The nutcracker harrumphs. "Very well. Mr. Buttons, I apologize for the injury dealt to you by my steed, and by myself." He seems honest and sincere enough about it, if only because honor demands it.
