She did discuss it though. Its not like his move came out of nowhere, he specifically sought out the position well in advance and told her he was doing it. Faye crashed and burned because she wasn't able to handle losing him in a healthy manner, but she pretty much knew it would come to that if he wanted to leave the whole time.
