I think I'm done, but I'm assuming that this was a compliment. Anyways - I may just get in on that frenzy thing, if I can get ahold of a good amount of temporary hp (empowered vampiric touch on sword) - between the echoblades and the rage, that would kick my damage up quite a bit, and the -4 AC shouldn't hurt too badliy, my bardic music would last long enough to get through it too. So yeah, you can definitely count me in on that.
I'm just home on lunch right now, but you can put me down for.... Indigo, yeah, that seems like a color a bard would pick.
I'll put a link to my character in my signature later.

Re: The Battle of Black Rock
The IC thread starts here.
The battalions fight seperatly. Most of the Leaders will not call for help, but can. If you defeat most of the mooks first, then the leader will call for reinforcements. If you kill the leader first, then the mooks will either flee or fight chaotically, in either case the next group will be busy for a turn killing the cowards, or laughing as the brave are slaughtered like pigs. The Army as a whole is the encounter, so parts of one may make a "guest" appearance as is needed (especially if there are magical effects that need dispelling).
Edit: Both the bards are purple? Bleck. You guys are dying first

Re: The Battle of Black Rock
Guess I missed the color scramble. I'll take Dark Slate Grey, if it's distinguishable enough.

industrious already has darkslategrey. Unless your colour is darkslategrey+bold.
Do we lose any items in the practice?

No, but I don't recomend using something earth shattering that is one use. It would skew the results of this test. Try to pick things that you can use repeatedly throughout a fight. This is, however, a suggestion. Not a mandate.

Re: The Battle of Black Rock
I'll stick to dark slate + bold then. Also, I just blew a bit less then half of my daily resources during those 5 rounds (guess that's a problem with having nothing but buffs). If the whole battle is going to occur in one day, then I'll really have to manage my power points.

I meant it still has errors (greater arrow deflection crystal for example). It also no longer has updated citations on how you spent your wealth, what you created, if you're still exploiting thought bottle etc., so it's simply not even possible to check if you did things right.
I'm not going to push this subject any further though. I brought it up twice now and that's enough. If neo okay'd your sheet then that's all that really matters.

I think I know what you mean. No beads of force or stuff like that. However, I assume scrolls with buffs that are intended to last the entire duration of the fight are fine, right?

Re: The Battle of Black Rock
Now would be a good time to mention the pace of combat. Each day will have one round of combat. That is, 24 hours or later after one of my combat posts (as opposed to general support posts) the next round starts. Everyone has that 24 hours to post their actions.
Please do not wait for your initiative order to come up. Chances are good what one person is doing wont effect your actions. If it does, however, you can post multiple actions given multiple scenarios. You may also post actions for future rounds. Should your character not act in a round when it comes time for the next round to start, I will NPC that character (probably in a defensive way).
Now is also the time to mention player loss. Life happens. Sometimes you just can't post for a day or two. You see that things have gone far beyond what you would like to catch up on or you feel some compelling urge to just leave the game. Should this occur, please PM me. I can work you back into the game, give your character to someone else, or write in a particularly heroic death. I'd rather not loose anyone, and if we drop below 8 we are going to start having a problem.
The game doesn't seem to have a cleric. I will write up a 15th level defensive lineback with a ton of support spells.

Re: The Battle of Black Rock OOC
Cleric Suggestions.
Antimagic field might not be a bad idea, at least if it gets cast on me(150 minutes of invulnerability to spells would help enormously, since my main damage dealer isn't magical at all). We could also use a greater planar ally(another meatshield counts as support, right?). So, Protection and Healing domains? Anybody else have suggestions for the cleric?

Re: The Battle of Black Rock OOC
Antimagic field has an area of "10-ft.-radius emanation, centered on you".
I don't think that would work, casting it on someone, unfortunately, unless neoseph says otherwise.
Whee! See the Unseen! Although I do have a scroll of True Seeing.

You have to be aware of the action that triggers your readied action. You aren't aware of invisible attacks, therefore it doesn't work.
Also, you can only ready a standard, move, swift, or immediate action; not a full round action. Full attack is a full round action.

Actually, she turns invisible after your turn in pre-round 5. You'd have to spot/listen in Combat Round 1. And don't forget, you'd need a spot check of 40 (or 20+hide) or a listen of 20-25 (or 20+move silently) to pinpoint her.

Re: The Battle of Black Rock OOC
Some possible spells for an NPC cleric:
Greater Glyph of Warding
Fire Storm
Summon Monster (high numbered ones)
Blade Barrier
Heal
Spell Resistance
Stone Shape
Death Ward
Break Enchantment
Wall of Stone
Raise Dead
Any Mass Stat boost
Any Magic Circle against effects
Magic Vestment (very good imo)
Just some ideas, some of these probably aren't that good.

Re: The Battle of Black Rock OOC
@ Delandel
Okay - I think apologies are in order - I guess I missed the first time that you pointed out the discrepencies, and I misunderstood the second time - I didn't bother figuring out exactly how much money I had left, since I knew I would be well under what we were allowed, and I have gone through and added everything up now, hopefully to your satisfaction, it is all in my "Other Notes" on my sheet.
Unless I did some horrible math, and I will be the first to admit that I make mistakes, I should have about 15,000 gp left over, so if the party is in desperate of any items, I can afford most things, and if they are wondrous items, I can do even more.
I hope everything is in order, and again, my apologies for your frustrations.

Re: The Battle of Black Rock OOC
With the extra gp, I'd suggest trapmaking materials. While none of us have ranks in Craft(trapmaking), some are pretty simple. Lots of Oil + Tindertwigs = setting waves of troops on fire. Or use pitons and string(fishing line, twine, whatever) to trip up opponents. Anything to confuse/harass/disable opponents before they get to us.

Re: The Battle of Black Rock OOC
yeah - that's why I invested so much into 6 uses of nolzurs marvelous pigments - it should allow me to make up any traps we could think of, since they're completely mundane. and heck, I could get quite a few more uses of it out of 15000 gp.
