GLoG 18: It's A Brand New Day

[Reinholdt]

Butler frowns. "What's wrong ma'am? Do you need to go to the infirmary ma'am?"

Decker scrunches up her face. "My joints hurt. And I'm hungry."

[Reinholdt]

"Hungry ma'am?"
Butler will try to lead Decker to the laundry room and let her have the dirty clothes. He's going to be replacing a lot of clothes using that big closet it seems. Hope no one has a favorite shirt.

Then go to the infirmary to get something to soothe joint pains. Like icy hot or something. I don't know. I'm not at that stage of my life... yet. He'll return to Decker with the stuff. "Here ma'am. This might help ma'am."

Decker eats. A lot.

When Butler goes to the infirmary, he med drone suggests aspirin and glucosamine, as well as icy hot as treatments for joint pain.

When Butler returns, Decker has grown taller.

If he saw how effective those drones were with Reinholdt, he probably wouldn't listen to one.

As it is, he grabs aspirin, glucosamine, and icy hot. Then returns to Decker. "Here you go ma'am. These should help ma'am." "It seems to be working incredibly fast ma'am."

"It's a lot different than the temporary ones," Decker says, and doubles over in pain.

[Reinholdt]

"Ma'am!" Butler will try to pick her up and carry her to the infirmary and get some serious pain killers for her. Cause this just doesn't seem right.

The drones hook her up to an iv drip and start dumping lots of vitamins and glucose into her system. Happy offers some psychic healing.

Decker holds Butler's hand and smiles weakly. "Don't worry. It'll be okay. I'm just growing really fast."

[Reinholdt]

"You had better ma'am. I don't know what I'd do if something happened to you ma'am." Her reassurances are only mildly effective.

"Is there anything I can get for you ma'am?"

"A moldy sandwich?" Decker asks.

He stands up and makes his way back inside, whistling as he goes. He makes his way into the infirmary.

He's still got that same "all is right with the world" smile.

"Right away ma'am." Butler heads out to find a moldy sandwich for the color changing Decker.

Only thing is, once he gets to the kitchen he realizes they don't exactly keep moldy sandwiches around. So he goes to the spork to make one.

Only it's not there anymore. He frowns. He was pretty sure it was there when he left.

He's pretty sure no restaurant carries a moldy sandwich on the menu.

He could always make a sandwich and add some mold to it, but it probably won't be close to what Decker's looking for.

Butler sort of stands there at a loss. Thinking of solutions isn't his strong suit. He eventually returns to the infirmary to ask Happy. "Ma'am? Where do we keep the moldy sandwiches?"

A peasant, slightly worried looking, cold and barefoot, sticks, with slightly dirty hands, a letter through GLoG's front door, before hurrying off.

Peoples of the forest,
There's been a wild animal attack, of some sort, we think. Little Mary Adams was out walking in the woods, and was mutilated and ravaged. Several farmsteads have also had their livestock killed, ripped apart, and drunk from. Please beware!

Wenomir keeps on patrolling the base. He reads the letter and shrugs. They've faced much worse than wild animals.

"We don't have moldy sandwiches," Turtle says. "Not unless someone forgot to clean up." And since Butler's been cleaning the place since he returned home, that's unlikely.

"Oh. Yeah." Decker says. "Just bring me a regular sandwich then."

[Reinholdt]

"Ah... alright ma'am." Butler will have to figure out how to get Decker a moldy sandwich later. Which is unlikely because it involves thinking.

Butler will go make whatever sandwich Decker wanted. Cause no one specifies these things. And bring it back to her. It's not exactly exquisite Butler food, cause, well, it's a sandwich. But it's still a nice sandwich. If you like sandwiches. "Here you go ma'am."

Decker takes the sandwich and puts it into a portal. The portal closes. Then reopens. She takes out the sandwich, and it's now all horribly moldy and disgusting. Yay for time portals!

Decker eats her horribly disgusting sandwich, which continuing to grow and experience puberty and all that. Which her player fast forwards through because it was annoying enough doing it for real.

Johnny watches with a raised eyebrow.
Reminds me of dad for some reason.
He gets up and forms a small rose out of magic. He just spins it in his hands.

[Reinholdt]

The rose pricks Fred. "Stop twirling me you git. You're making me dizzy."

Butler stays by Decker's side and gets her whatever she needs during her cinematic, fast transformation sequence.

Johnny incinerates the rose with a small flame.
He then shakes his finger a little.
She's out there somewhere, just gotta find her.
And with that Johnny walks off lightly to his room and deadtimes.
