But ultimately, I'd have to go with this one. I highly recommend Tonari no Seki-kun. Very enjoyable short form.

Where did you find it? I only found out about it because I was listening to Christopher Lee music on youtube, and then I couldn't find it to watch except by ordering a $30 DVD.

Well, barring for a moment the fact that I'm older than that adorable skirt makes me look, the most recent time I watched it would have been when I rented the DVD from Netflix - this was back when people did that sort of thing, instead of just streaming everything. And this would have been, oh... Within the past, what, five or six years?

It's dreadfully camp. You have to remember that part of the musical talent - including both "Name Your Poison" and "Evil Midnight" - came from the musical masterminds behind Rocky Horror. Which is fairly indicative of the movie itself. Terribly, dreadfully camp, poor storytelling, but fantastically over-the-top acting by Arkin and Lee.

Okay, so she alternates between zany family antics and misguided attempts at domination, while failing to understand surface life.



I've seen slice of life comedy done well. This was slice of life done average. I wasn't terribly impressed, although I did occasionally chuckle at Chizuru's sociopathy. That aside, well, I've used two gifs already. I've made that point.

And then came the mini-Ika episode. That hurt. That actually hurt. I felt like I was re-watching the opening scenes to Up, and I defy anyone to hold tears in during that movie. I've seen slice of life that punches you in the feels, but usually that's earned; this didn't feel earned. I wasn't invested enough in the characters to feel like they earned the right to give me feels.

That was the episode after which I put the series down.

Go watch Tonari no Seki-kun.

As you can see, it's a list of potentially broken as hell spells, with at least one way to immortality on call. This is a class feature stronger than some t2 classes, when used right/made broken as it's supposed to be. The least broken is Alter Self, and even that can get broken as hell, if you're in a roleplay heavy campaign or find a 5 HD creature of your type with a broken (Su) ability

Feat: Morphic Devotion[Domain]:
You are totally devoted to the idea of Change of form, gaining odd 'little' tricks in the process.
Benefit: You gain Wildshape 1/day with a 24 hour duration and access to one 1st level Transmutation spell of your choice as an at-will Supernatural ability
Requirements: ECL 20, Morphic domain or Transmutation Focus or Wild Shape or a (Su) ability that copies a Transmutation spell

Broken as hell? Probably. Does it stand out? No, because there are a lot of rather broken capstones that make this seem tame. Besides, you are stuck with one form for the day and can't get out of it if you want it for the next fight. And unless you get LA, this is a soft-Epic feat because you don't normally get a feat at level 20
