"Alright... What sorts of things do you like to do, then?"

Not much besides learning new things.

"Hm. Have you tried many things, other than that?"

[Beans]

[Talnissa]
I do not think so.

[Lady Serpentine]

[Talnissa]

"Maybe you should, then, so you can see if you like them."

[Beans]

I do not know where to start.

[Talnissa]

"Would you like some help figuring that out?"

[Beans]

She nods.
Yes please.

"Hm... Do you have dreams?"

[Beans]

[Talnissa]
I do not sleep, so I do not dream.

[Lady Serpentine]

"You should find this interesting, then... Are you up for another trip?"

[Beans]

She nods.
I am ready.

"Then let's go."

And, with that, Talnissa tries to lead Pass to the Lake of Dreams.

Dave is being silly! Clarissa is a super predator! If she were to be impregnated by anyone, she wouldn't be able to hunt, kill, or otherwise put herself in any situation which might result in bodily harm to herself for fear of damaging the babies (Clarissa is extremely fecund; I doubt she'd bear fewer than four children per litter if convinced to reproduce) for the full duration of the gestation period! That would be such a drag! It would be a great boon to the citizens of the City of Inside, though!

Furthermore, Clarissa absolutely despises the very idea of her being hefty for any extent of time. That's just one of the multiplicity of reason why Clarissa hiked up her metabolism to the "Over 9000!" level!

Three hours thirty-three minutes after Clarissa left for her volcano hideaway, another tendril rockets out of Clarissa's deep, sweltering crater! It cautiously enters Dave's house via the front door, taking care not to rip the doorknob off, instead choosing to viciously ram itself through the front door. Clarissa! Quit being so destructive!

The tendril sweeps across the room where Dave was sleeping not so long ago, attempts to boldly slither over to him, and attempts to coil around Dave's lower legs ever so slowly!

Since Dave didn't fall asleep right after curtaining with Clarissa, he is victim to his worst enemy.
Insomnia.
Ninja Insomnia.
It makes you stay awake 24/7 and tape shurikans to your chest.
This is why Dave is wide awake when the tendril bursts through his front door.
He had, after all, forgotten to reset the traps.
And when it tries to coil around his legs he sighs and lets it.
Well, might as well go along with whatever she wants. I know she doesn't want to eat me. he thinks.
"If you aren't gentle with bringing me out of the door you are not getting the bobcat I trapped in the basement."

Don't fret, Dave! Clarissa doesn't want to hurt you! She wouldn't forcefully rip you out of the building. She knows how fragile you humans are.

Clarissa's tendril attempts to wind its way up Dave's legs and over his chest before swiftly attempting to lift him into the air and tug him out of the house.

Hey! Clarissa is pulling Dave into the mouth of the crater in his backyard! And now she is attempting to drop him...into what appears to be a wide vertical tunnel forged of violet flesh packed to the brim with both tendrils akin to those Dave spotted earlier and is, presumably, being tossed about by now, and an assortment of yellow-tinted eyes with crimson pupils.

And at the bottom of the tunnel, Clarissa lies on a soft, warm mat of pulsating flesh. It is very bouncy too! It should cushion Dave's free-fall marvelously!

Dave doesn't want to remember the trip down.
Especially as he lands on the soft flesh stuff.
"You feeling better now, Clarissa?" he says as he sits crosslegged.

"No. I still feel terrible."

Clarissa whimpers. She doesn't just feel terrible. She looks terrible too. There's no question about it. She is a very ill girl.

And she is currently coughing. Ugh! I hope that isn't catching. If the sickness is impacting Clarissa this much, just think of what it could do to normal human beings!

"I didn't mean to be so short with you earlier. I wasn't in the mood for talking, as you experienced firsthand. You said something about kids?"

Now is your chance, Dave! Sell her on the reasons why she needs to reproduce!

Hallowmere Lake

"Thank you! Carl surprised me with it. But I like to build things." I think Magtok knew that already about you, Sunny. "And I want part of it to be from me to him too."

With the last, she gives Carl a look of complete loving adoration. The kind of look that feels slightly voyeuristic to observe. Poor Magtok.

Magtok makes a point of dodging that feeling, landing back on the ground to pet Archer.

"So...Stheno. What's, umm...what's exactly, is..."

He can't quite figure out how to ask what the deal with Stheno is without insulting someone, so the question just sorta hangs in the air there.

"No. I still feel terrible."

Clarissa whimpers. She doesn't just feel terrible. She looks terrible too. There's no question about it. She is a very ill girl.

"Oh...it's nothing...I just had a silly dream that I wanted a couple kids before I became 30..."
He was 28 with his birthday coming up soon and the look on his face said that it certainly wasn't a silly dream to him.
It was something he wanted dearly.
He always wanted to hear the silent pitter-patter of ninja-children around the house...they could play some of the best ninja family games out there!
Like Tie-a-Bunch-of-Knives-to-a-Rabid-Orangatang-and-let-him-Loose-in-the-House-and-Wrestle-With-him.

"Silly dream?"

Clarissa mutters in a hoarse voice.

"Dave, if there's one thing that I learned back when I was a goody-two-shoes, it is that no dream is silly and all are well within your grasp if you want them enough."

*Cough!* *Hack!* *Choke!* *Splutter!*

"Thing is, I'm both viviparous and multiparous. You know me better than anyone, and even you would have to admit that I'm not mother material. An alpha, sure. A mother..."

"Not so much."

"Plus, I'm a hunter, Dave! I can't go out and feed if I'm fat and pregnant!"

"And labor..." *Shudder.* *Shudder.*

He sighed.
"Yeah...I know...that's why it's silly. I knew you'd never agree to it so it's just better to forget about it."
He turned away from her and put his head in his hands and looked pretty sad.
He really wanted kids.
He would even kidnap other kids for Clarissa to eat while she's pregnant, that's how badly he wants kids.

Pity appeals! No! That's not the way to do it!

Clarissa...

She's a dangerous, conniving, greedy, vice-ridden, gluttonous, slothful, evil little megalomaniac! She is the epitome of what insane power and longing for more of it do to a creature!

But...

But she's not actually a bad person. She's just misguided. She was actually a ludicrously kind angel with only minor character flaws before she was abducted by that Marintho fellow. What she needs now, more than anything else, is a _______ ____!

Cue more coughing!

"Dave? You don't really want kids, do you? If you actually wanted kids, you wouldn't have given up on getting them so easily."

"Have you ever considered adoption?"

Could you imagine these two driving on over to the Orphanage of the Order of Cunningham and trying to convince the Sisters and Elders that they might make half-decent parents?

"All of the orphanages that I've been to have said no to all attempts to get a kid. They say my home would be unfit because of all the traps and the ninja stuff plus the fact that I would train the kid to be a ninja..."
Of course he means the two ultra-generic orphanages he has been to repeatedly within the last 5 years.
One of them was even sponsered by Umbrella too!
"Plus...I kinda want to know every time I look at my kid that I helped to make him or her. That he or she wouldn't be here if it wasn't for me..."

Tina seems to like his tail and wings. They're like augments, but much more refined. Probably because they're, y'know, actually supposed to be there.

Tina opens those brown eyes and turns them on Evan, brow rapidly furrowing. "...Huh? You didn't have a CD going?" She sits up a little, squinting at her tremendous stereo system and then looking toward her bedroom, where the piano stands motionless near the doorway.

[Fettina's Suite]

Evan looks at Tina curiously, "... No, if I had a CD going it would have been something with heavy metal. That was definitely your piano," The possibilities are already starting to go through Evan's head. She'd been doing that without realizing it? Was that because she was beginning to do magic? Interesting...

Clarissa sigh-coughs! She is somewhat sympathetic to Dave's plight, but she's not willing to agree to any of his terms...yet.

Not without special provisions benefiting herself and conditions that would allow for her to break the contract if something changed in the near future.

"Maybe try a clinic that sells designer babies? I don't know!"

"Look, Dave, I have a question for you. What the heck do you want children for anyway? They're loud! They're obnoxious! They smell funny! Frankly, I don't see any benefits to owning one."

"You want kids, make me want kids. Either convince me that you need children to live or scoot on over here and cuddle with me. I'm having a horrid day."

An ultimatum comes into play! How shall Dave respond to it?
