I just said I was working on doing the OP, and that it's going to take a while. Remnant never had a proper OP, so I'm having to do it all from scratch.

The dimensional anchors are still there, same with the teleblockers. MC's PC arrived a good distance away.

As for the PC, like I said, send me a PM or make an OOC post with some information about the character, his/her reasons for wanting to join, etc. Don't just come walking up without giving me anything to go on. RPing the same interview scenes over and over does get tedious. I know it may be annoying, but it helps if I have something to work with before hand.

@Harnel: It's the same deal. The idea may have been discussed before, but I still don't know anything about the PC himself.

The worst that'll happen to anyone who sends me a recruitment PM, is that I'll say no. Just give it a shot and see.

Yes, WB, I read your post. I'm just not all that familiar with Remnant, and I had no idea any dimension lock extended beyond it's walls. I was just saying to add it when you get the OP finished. Not everyone's going to assume a place is dimension-locked.

As for PM, it's not annoying at all. Seems reasonable to me.

Description: This picture shows her body structure; she currently dresses in t-shirts, hoodie-jackets, and fingerless gloves for her six hands. Yes, she has metal teeth.

Abilities: Her hands are sensitive, allowing her to better feel vibrations and such. So it can be hard to sneak up on her. Her fore and aft legs are pretty dang strong and agile, though she's learning to perfect their use.
Her end bit has a chain golem component with a grapnel claw, so she can sort of do spidery things. Like how Spider-Man can hang from a line of web and go up and down and stuff.
There may be other features in the machine, but they are not yet known.

Personality: Meddy is pleasant and kind; she cares a lot for her friends. She is affectionate and likes to express her affection in tactile ways like hugs.
In relationships of the romantic persuasion, she doesn't like moving too fast.

I posted this a while back, a couple months now, but it still applies. While I'm still restructuring the OP for Remnant(which will take a while), I still want people to PM me about wanting new PCs in Remnant. Especially brand new characters with no prior connections.

So, Recruitment is still closed technically.

There isn't a whole lot of call for a hacker sadly, and the Comm Center wouldn't be the ones handling it. That said, two players with PCs in the Comm Center is probably enough for now.

Yeah, I was thinking of them as separate jobs, not the same thing. If there's not much call for computer investigations, I guess he might fall under Squad Leader as a former Alliance officer?

Since we're at the subject of organizing things, I'm thinking that NO could use some clearer command structure and formal procedures as well. I'm not sure how many people care, but I'm going to talk about it anyway.
Right now, I have two things I think should happen: first, a probation period for every new member until they complete their first job. Second, some people in charge who aren't Dipsnig. In other words, seconds-in-command. Raz used to be one, but then RL happened. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure NO get enough jobs for probation type things on new members. They've been doing alright lately, but dry spells hit all the time. And how long have they been working on some jobs? Couple of months?

I always thought NO worked better loose like it is. Kept it more distinct from places like MURDER and Watchtower. Though I can understand a second in command to reduce the work load.

Yeah, good point... NO's activity is sort of entirely dependent on outside factors. Jobs can take long too, especially the trickier ones. I'm not sure, really. I'd like some more firm rules and regulations to be in place, but I'm not sure what they should be.
At least one second-in-command would really be handy, though. This way, not everyone who has some business or every member inquiring about contracts would go to Dipsnig.

As for the former Alliance PC, C'nor, I'll need more information than that. But, if his primary skills are hacking, then they'll at least put his information on file if they need him in the future. Sort of a contractor type.

One note - this is the Alliance from Firefly. There was one of those here, too, wasn't there?

Anyway, his primary skills would be: Electronic information gathering - possibly useful in investigations? -, breaking through computer security, and he's not too bad at squad leader stuff. He also has some minor magical abilities.

To be honest, the hacking skill would make them a bit wary for the hiring process due to security reasons. Sure, Remnant has security good enough not to really worry about it, but it's still something they have to take into account.

What sort of magical abilities? And what sort of squad did he lead, how long, how many people, etc...
