The guy sure knows his bandit tactics. I find that a bit suspicious. Also, if they didn't already think of that strategy, he just made robbing this place even easier for them.

Rex Basset, Purveyor of Basset's New Dry Goods, rummages through his store-room, and finally finds the object he's seeking, burried under a bolt of calico, and several pick-axes.

"Ahh, there it is". He exclaims; lifting up a package bearing the label "Jr. Sherlock Holmes Detective's Kit"

"And it's even still addressed properly..." He muses; Pointing at Shadow's address in the town.

The Crazy Old Prospector *points his pick at Shadow* then scurries off to the saloon's basement to investigate its mining potential.

((Hmm... doesn't it skew the game quite largely in favour of bandits winning? Citizens and outlaws both gain an advantage when one of the other groups is killed, and are disadvantaged when one of their own is killed. Bandits are advantaged when one of the others is killed, but are at no disadvantage when a bandit is killed. So one lone bandit could win the game just by waiting for the other groups to kill each other. Also it'd be tough to find a bandit by voting records; bandits don't have to protect each other, they can let each other get lynched with no detriment to the team.))

True, but you are forgetting that any townsperson can send money to another townsperson at night. So even if the bandit seer spots someone with gold one night, it could very well be a worthless scry the next night if said person scried trades money away.

Recall that both the town and the outlaws have a seer to look for roles. Bandit's do not have that advantage. They can only see how much someone is carrying.

They would be at a huge disadvantage if the banker came forward, everyone transfered the money to them, and the bandits had no way to kill them.

Sorry again for the after game start change, but this really is the fair way to handle it.

Also. Bandit's will not be able to steal from themselves. So look for theft patterns if you believe there to be one.

Hitch, shooting a glance at Shadow, shakes his head and looks at the assembled crowd gathered around the suspect. "Now please tell me what on earth the use of this is. Here you're about to lynch a man because of a casual comment and a suspicion! Why do you want to be rid of this man, because he criticized the fine lady here?" He gestures at Alarabelle (not a point).
"I think maybe it's more than likely that one of ya is a criminal, trying to get rid of us the easy way."

The other thing which stops the theory, the amount of gold controlled by the bandits is shown. If someone was robbed, and the total didn't go up, then it would be fairly clear that the person was a bandit.

Of course its completely null now. Which is why I can say it from beyond the grave without ghost static.

The Crazy Old Prospector is about to get to work on the saloon's basement wall when he spies a dusty old cask of brandy. "Well now, old Fluffers. Digging for gold is mighty thirsty work...we'd best get proper hydrated first." He pours a mug for himself and a bowl for his trusty ungulate.

"Mmmm! That's some right powerful hydration!"

*From the strange hobbling/hopping sounds you heard, Faerwain must have come out of his room right after Ms. Alarrabelle screamed, but coming down the long stair with his bandaged leg obviously took some time. Heavy breathing, he takes down his giant head to brush away the sweat. In his other hand, you see a long hunting rifle, one of the old and used guns a stranger would not be able to fire a shot without probably hurting himself, but trustful weapons in the hands of people who are used to it.
"What happened here? I was happily sailing in the arms of Morphius..what?"
He is interrupted by a NPC whsipering to him. "Morpheus? Now pray tell me what you know more about Inka mythology than a man who has discussed the mysteries of history left and right with the schoolmaster and the janitor of the university in Moritzburg, he? If he was named Morpheus, than the medicin would be Morpheusin and not Morphium, isn't that obvious?"
Annoyed, he turns back to the crowd
"Now, as I was sailing in MORPHIUS arms, I heard a screaming."
*bows"
Ah, my poor lady. That's horrible. It's one thing to be a filthy robber and a bloody murderer, but another to not be a gentleman. These folks have truly unacceptable manners. Like you, Sir." *points at shadow* "This town has proven a fine instinct who belongs to it before, and I share the suspicion.
Now, has anybody taken care that this poor Indian gets a proper funeral?
Barkeeper, hand me a beer, after this rude awakening I need some fresh amount of God's best invention."

The clock in town tolls the hour.

Shadow, holding his chest out having figured out a clever tactic, is dismayed when the fingers spin right back against him.

Wait, you all suspect me? Even when I came forth with the idea?

The crowd moves closer.

*Shadow throws a ninja-vanish smoke bomb*

Shadow is still standing there.

Right, old west, cowboys didn’t really perfect that kind of use with gunpowder yet....

The crowd grabs him and drags him over to the hangman’s platform. They tie him up, and the noose is placed around his head.

I tell you I’m not. Now you’ll just have to figure it out for yourselves.

The lever is pulled. Shadow is hung.

The crowd looks below to see if anything falls. Rolling tumbleweeds drift on bye….

Shadow, a townsperson (villager) was hung. Night begins now and ends in 24 hours, Monday @ Noon forum time.

The Crazy Old Prospector takes off his floppy hat sadly. "Fluffers old pal, a toast to Chief Shadow." He hoists another mug of brandy sadly.


"Now let's find that GOLD! Heehee!" He hops up and starts hacking a hole in the saloon's basement wall.

Hitch watches the hanging with a fierce scowl, turning on his heel to head back to the inn. "There ya have it. Mistrust takes another one to hell."
