Re: [Nexus] White Walls
Oh well. I really can't justify an electric shock from a rope.
Tom Godlark is reeled up to the roof entangled in a net. The Walrus leans down to try to grab Ordo and toss him over the roof at the group below.
"Catch."
An excellent distraction for a getaway in his book. I guess he's a bit less concerned about life than Doctor Stroffelnburg is.

Re: [Nexus] White Walls
If he can lift Ordo with one arm, then the psion gets tossed over. Oh my.
He manages a panicked cry as he plummets, the taser's effects keeping him from flailing about much. How high is the hospital? My avatar was done by Gullara. Thanks again!

Re: [Nexus] White Walls
Shouldn't be that big. 15-20 feet maybe? Which is something in meters.

Re: [Nexus] White Walls
Tweetums glances at Ordo, then looks at Bianca.
It's a "What, really?" kind of look.
But the dinosaur tries regardless, leaping forward to get to the spot where Ordo should hit the ground at. Where it angles its body to try to catch him on its back.
The Saurornitholestes has soft feathers, but since Physics feels rather serious around White Walls, there's a good chance that Ordo landing on it will break Tweetums' spin. >.>

Re: [Nexus] White Walls
At 15-20 feet, I doubt the light psion would break Tweety's back. But he's getting flattened in all likelihood.
Ordo hits, giving a pained yelp and tumbling off almost immediately. He collapses aside, still fidgeting. How Tweetums fairs is up to his player. My avatar was done by Gullara. Thanks again!

Re: [Nexus] White Walls
Hmm... Ah, no paraplegic dinosaurs today, then.
Tweetums bends its legs and lowers its body, touching the ground with its front claws even, to absorb some of the impact. Luckily, the Saurornitholestes' spine escapes intact, though bruised and hurting.
The small pains in its back are ignored by the dinosaur as it gets up to worriedly sniff at Ordo. It tries to nudge him with its snout, chirping softly.

Re: [Nexus] White Walls
Well, Paul makes good on his distraction by going to lift the netted Tom over his shoulders much like a bag of presents and dashing to the stairwell to head back inside.
As fast as a walrus can dash anyways.
It's not as slow as one would think, but it's probably not the fastest thing around either.

Re: [Nexus] White Walls
He doesn't appear to have broken anything, and smells pretty normal. At the nudging, Ordo manages to turn his head and smile. Still jittering. Seems he's recovering far quicker than someone else would.
"Th-thanks." He says, before glancing at Bianca and Tzim from the dirt. "Get him."Last edited by Murkus; 2010-12-07 at 08:07 PM.

Re: [Nexus] White Walls
Bianca heads back in past the reception area and into the halls. She'll see Paul exiting the staircase way down at the end of the hall on her left with Tom over his shoulder. He gives one look at her and goes to turn the corner.

Re: [Nexus] White Walls
Tzimfemme blasphemes. There may be trees and low-lying thornbushes, and there may be a roof, but there's also the forethought of an architect designing a building against escape and designating a kill zone of flat lawn around the building's walls. Therefore she curses in the names of all the land-bound gods, and in her own name. To "do nothing" well, one must voluntarily do nothing, not be forced from participation to perception.

Re: [Nexus] White Walls
Tweetums follows after Bianca, letting loose a war screech.
Okay, so the dinosaur doesn't follow after Bianca, per say. The Saurornitholestes bounds forward with predatory practice, trying to overtake Bianca as it chases Paul. It probably goes faster than the human, but you never know for sure.Last edited by VampireRot; 2010-12-08 at 07:50 PM.

Re: [Nexus] White Walls
Hmm... I can think of one or two characters who might go for that alt-alignment stuff, but they have to admit it to themselves first.
The pursuers round the corner to see Paul slam a door shut. Seeing as how he no longer is in possession of his Tom and is still in the hallway, it doesn't take a Saurornitholestes to figure out he just threw Mister Godlark into a room so he doesn't have to deal with him while dealing with the interlopers.
Paul turns to face whoever's chasing him, his flippers folded in front of him.
You should all be committed."

Re: [Nexus] White Walls
Tweetums stalks forward, but doesn't attack Paul yet. Because Bianca said not to kill him, and dinosaurs really don't have a "non-fatal" switch. Rather, it doesn't know how to attack not to kill.
It raises its head feathers and hisses while awaiting further orders. And starts to walk around the walrus, trying to cut off escape.

Re: [Nexus] White Walls
Bianca rounds the corner and comes to an abupt halt, seeing that Paul has come to his senses. Or lack thereof. Oh, I'm totally committed. she says with a wicked grin.
((And we should wait for Quincunx and Murkus players to post, right? Maybe Lord Magtok, too. ))

Re: [Nexus] White Walls
Well, Ordo's probably not going much of anywhere. At least for a few minutes. The fall jolted him a bit, but he's still stunned from the taser. He rolls over, scrabbling in the dirt, and begins a series of repetitive attempts to move or pick himself up.

Re: [Nexus] White Walls
((I'm out of sync with the rest of your time zones. It's a courtesy to wait, but feel free to pass me over if it means you get multiple exchanges in a night.))
"Wait," Tzimfemme starts to say as the dinosaur passes her without exerting itself, "come back with your what?" The nekkid mage casts her eyes down and accelerates as best she can through the debris. Listen well. Lessons of the scepter are lesser ones than the lessons of the crown; they shatter under violence.
On the smoother hallway floors she can run--no, lope, be artful about all gestures, and hook the nightstick around the corner of the wall to pivot while maintaining speed, and feel a slam reverberate through wall to nightstick to hand. As you say, it doesn't take much to realize that a door has just been shut hard and fast. One doesn't even have to slow down for the realization. One could, if so inclined, not slow down in the least before striking the lock and have the additional momentum nearly wedge the door handle into the doorjamb. One two three broken doors. Auspicious.
"No authority!" she chirps over her shoulder, and then shouts at Tom, "Run away from us too if you want, but just run! Flee faster this time!" Tzimfemme turns her back on Tom. He's not the issue here, not the zero the orb the least lesson of the play. Well. If he insists. The nekkid mage smiles a most unpleasant grin. "Bianca my dear, Tom was upset about the possibility of being kidnapped. Very rude yesno? What say we pick up this guy," she points nightstick and unoccupied index finger at the walrus, "and carry him off the island instead?"Last edited by Quincunx; 2010-12-09 at 06:53 AM.

Re: [Nexus] White Walls
I'm ok with waiting for Quin. I'd like to wait for Magtok too, but he seems to have abandoned us altogether!
Even if the door has been broken open, Tom recently got shocked much like Ordo did and is entangled in a net. I don't think running is currently an option for him.
Paul holds up a flipper. No wait, it's an hourglass. My mistake.
"You can fight me and try to take back your victim or even me if you are so inclined, but in... three minutes, fifty-three seconds this place will be crawling with agents and all of you will be taken down." Normally he wouldn't say such a thing and just stall quietly, but fearing for one's own life can make people tip their hands in hopes the other side will back away. While he's confident he can drag this out long enough for them to get here, he's not so confident that he'll survive the exchange.
The hourglass returns to being a flipper.

Re: [Nexus] White Walls
Magtok briefly contemplates trying to help out Ordo, since it's nice and safe out here, but he changes his mind and then rushes off after the others.
No way you're going to last even half of that time, Yoko Ono. Hand me over now, and I'll promise not to bomb the **** out of this place for that little headache you gave me earlier.
A bluff. Magtok has neither the bombs nor the nerve to blow up everything. For all he knows, they could have another dozen innocent patients locked up somewhere.

Re: [Nexus] White Walls
"So you enticed us back here before your. . .allies were ready?" Tzimfemme concludes, and laughs outright with hands on hips. "Tom!" That barely pings the astral cord lying between Tom and Magtok. She tips her head to better hear the. . .shuffling and metal twine scratching against padding. "Not good," she remarks, casting one eye at the problem. "We'll have to carry him out also. Can you hold onto that promise of autonomy for a few more minutes, we've hit a snag."

Re: [Nexus] White Walls
The door is cracked open, but not really open wide.
"Hmmm..." The walrus considers Magtok's offer for several seconds.
"... Nope. Don't think I will."
"I do think I'll even the odds..." Paul seems to split before your very eyes, in a flash turning from one creature into three. I say creatures, because Walrus he is no longer.
Instead, facing Bianca is what appears to be a twisted version of herself holding a sword just like what Bianca has. Which can only mean, it appears to be Vidalia, considering their similarities.
Looking at Tzimfemme is a naked man barbarian in line art form, wielding a big old club. Meet Tzinmasc.
Staring at Tweetums is none other than a velociraptor. Did you know they actually purr instead of chirp? Which is what Twitums does. He's just upset, cause he got the stupid name.
Whether it's because of the strain it takes to do this, or because things always happen in threes, or because Magtok already defeated his self-adversary and Ordo isn't here, neither Magtok nor Ordo get an adversary. Which likely helps them, especially if Ordo recovers enough to come help in time.
"Care to reconsider your *purr* *purr*?"
You know... speaking in synchronized fashion would work a lot better if one of your parts wasn't a dinosaur.

Re: [Nexus] White Walls
Tweetums looks at Twitums in astonishment.
Velociraptor?! Purring?!
The Saurornitholestes circles its twin, hissing and swishing its feathered tail menacingly. All of its feathers are now standing on end, making the dinosaur appear bigger. It's head darts up and down, birdlike, as it searches for an opening. So it can murder Twitums to death.
When it finds one, or if no opening appears for thirty seconds or so, it'll spring forward legs first, aiming to slash and tackle with its terrible claws.

Re: [Nexus] White Walls
Eyes up here? Eyes not up here. Eyes are close to the mouth, and you're not supposed to look a gift horse in the mouth, nudge nudge, know what I mean?
The skins and outlines of both flicker and morph under each other's groping gaze, but the form remains. He's unaffected by the White Walls, though, to the extent that his weapon is an iconic one, and yes, those blood gutters are exactly the abstraction you'd expect. Tzimfemme rolls her eyes, though the disgust is more that she hasn't got her iconic flail, and snaps out of it now she's not eyeing him up. "Great. Good stuff. You've got the upper body strength, get the walrus."
