Teleportation Ring


The closest point would be the ring near the edge of the floating base that allows it. When the teleportation occurs though, the Remnants manning the walls all raise their various rifles slightly. They aren't aimed at the pair, but could be brought up in an instant.

"Wonderful. They're already about to kill me. Can I just throw down the card and go now?" Phil scowls at the riflemen.

"Word of advice. Don't go throwing accusations, and assume good faith. Alright?" Erin whispers, before raising her arms to the riflemen. "I represent HALO!"

"Then come closer!" Someone shouts from the wall.

"Stay calm, please, handsome," Erin whispers, going to push Phil ahead of her.

Phil sighs and steps forward.
Given what the Empire's done to him, and how hateful and paranoid he is, the fact he hasn't gone nuts on the Remnant yet means he's the most patient person I've ever known.
"I'm Phillip Michael Banagher. I hear you murderous bastards lot are under the impression I'm attacking you. I'm here to prove I'm not."

When they reach inside the Teleblocker/Reality Anchor Zone, a voice appears in front of them, as well as a ring of people in the new Remnant Power Armor, surrounding the pair, weapons raised. "Phil, you are hereby under arrest for one count of using a WMD against Inside, as well as a still rising number of Negligent Homicide, last reports are within a few dozen." Vasquez says, taking a step forward with a set of runed restraints in her hands. "You will submit yourself to my Authority and Custody, understand? Murderous Bastards or not, you're in our domain and protection now, whether either of us like it or not. Get to your knees. You can prove your case at the Tribunal" She says icily, making an effort to keep from simply shooting him.

She's just gotten word of her mother.

"I object," Erin says matter-of-factly. "There is no reason to humiliate him. There may be arrest and trial, but kneeling is a step too far. I hereby assume responsibility for his actions."

Phil recognizes Vasquez's voice and his fists clench.
She's the one in charge?
"I did not drop a WMD, and I am not getting down on my knees. You can have your little political victory here, but I'm not going to disgrace myself, either. I will gladly come into custody, but I will do so standing."

And then Erin speaks.
"What? No. No you don't!"

Vasquez doesn't flinch. "It's not an act of humiliation. It's caution on our part. Now, comply, like everyone else who gets arrested. You will be searched for weapons." Her tone changes slightly, letting them know her reasoning mood is slipping fast.

"Because I'm definitely dumb enough to bring weapons here. I mean, seriously, Vasquez, if you tried any of the usual Empire stuff with me, I could just call Sigwhite on down here and be out in an instant. Wizard gods are cool like that. I'm not getting on my knees. You can go ahed and use your scanners, or is the Empire just bluffing about those too? How about magic, then? Is that pointless, robot killing field still working its deal?"
There's a world of resentment in Phil's voice.

"Yes, I do," Erin says simply, but she puts up no further protest to Vasquez, looking...well, as sad as she's ever been.

She then looks up at Phil. ~Phil. Do as they say. For me. Please.~

Vasquez doesn't rise to the bait of the insults. "Final warning Phil. Get on your knees. You will not be asked again." Vasquez warns.

Edijar nods. "She is. Especially considering she was the one who came up with the theory that the activator might be permanently destroyed power wise."

"Fine, damnit," Phil says this more to Erin than to Vasquez and turns his pockets inside out-revealing nothing but his wallet and the SD card-before folding his legs to stand on his knees. He'll get on his knees, but he won't bow or kneel.
"It would be less embarrassing to be carried in there nekkid. It'd probably intimidate them pretty darn well, too," Phil sighs.
I don't think I can stress just how much he hates the Empire and its Remnant's higher ups. The little punch clock lads and lasses? He's alright with them. The people ordering them around?
Well, considering what the Empire did to his friends and life, and what the Remnant's doing now, he's showing more patience than I ever could in the fact he actually came on down here instead of snapping.

"You try to walk in here naked, you get arrested for public indecency." Vasquez tells him before putting the manacles on Phil, behind his back. Once they're armed, the restraints scan him for magic. If there is, it will then attempt to dampen it, and if that's successful, a green light pops up. If it can't dampen the magic, it turns red. If there isn't any, it'll turn blue. The restraints will also have the benefit of a small needle inside one of the cuffs. If it scratches him, it'll snap off, but not before injecting him with a strength sapping poison. If it works, he'll be able to move, but it'll feel as if he's encased in lead. It won't last for very long, an hour tops. Just long enough to get him where he needs to be.

Grimzig and his goblins appear to be taking some sort of wrecked machine or vehicle apart for parts and components. Grimzig himself is studying some plans.

"Don't tell me you and your friends wouldn't enjoy it," Phil laughs at the thought and the fact they think they need to restrain him.
"Watch it there, I'm positively vicious."
He doesn't scratch up against the needle, as he's not fighting at all, and while there is magic in his steampunk tattoos, it's weak and inactive and easy to suppress.

Erin sighs, closes her eyes, and shakes her head in dismay.

"Ma'am, can I ask you to surrender any weapons you have on you?" Delisle asks Erin.

Erin nods to the Lieutenant, and hands over a Particle Magnum.

Of course, she is a weapon, but she isn't going to say that...

Delisle hands the weapon over to Sue. "If you intend to come further into the base, I need to frisk you as well. I can take you into a private room for that if you prefer." she says to Erin.

Erin shrugs.
"Nah. Here's fine."
One gets the feeling she'd be smiling if she wasn't in a down mood on account of Phil as she raises her arms to be frisked.

Which will find no-tink. Well, no weapons, anyway.

It is a very thorough but professional frisking. As someone who is rather, ahem, experienced in such matters, Erin will probably be able to tell that Delisle is not even a little bit attracted to her, despite her "assets".

"Thank you. I'll need to ask you to put this on as well."

She holds out a smaller, single cuff version of the restraints on Phil. It has the lights and the magic dampening, but only goes onto one wrist, and does not have the needle.

Erin does her best not to show her disappointment.

She nods, and allows the cuff to be applied.
"No problem. Hopefully Commander Tobias won't be mad you made one of his people wear this, though," she observes.

"It's merely a precaution," Delisle says in an apologetic voice. "I'm sure it's unnecessary, but those are the procedures." Probably Erin wouldn't have gotten away without the frisking and the anti-magic cuff if she had pretended to merely be a HALO agent doing her job and concealed the Protective Girlfriend act.

She then turns to Phil. "I'm going to frisk you now as well, unless you'd prefer to be patted down by a male." Which she knows is unlikely, but some men comes from a culture where they aren't supposed to be touched by women outside their family. So it's procedure to ask.

Erin nods in understanding, gives a small smile to indicate no hard feelings, and fals quiet.

Remnant slowly begins it's decent into it's prepared landing pad. When it hits, there's barely even a thump, and several clicks can be heard as pipes and electronics connect.

The test flight has been successful.

Gate

Waiting on the ground, is Taul and his team, looking a bit worse for wear. He approaches the gate and gives a nod to Zefir. "Are you the one who's getting the Geas?" He asks as a small convoy of soldiers, arriving from the outlaying villages is brought in to be debriefed.

Assuming there's nothing found when he's searched, Commander Vasquez will grab the restraints. "No Phil, we would not." She tells him before trying to pull him to his feet. She and her escort will them proceed to take them to Council.
