Re: You! (A picture/Media thread) Thread XXXI: Roman Numerals Make Everything Fancy
But that would make sense. Winter is coming, so I shaved Friday and plan to get my hair cut soon.
Yup, the awkward no-longer-up stage is annoying.
Worse though is the pain of beardlessness.
Spoiler
Partially because it makes Rabbit cry. And howl for my blood.
Thankfully the stuff grows back fairly quickly, but not so quickly that I get 5 o'clock shadow. More like, the next morning around 6 AM shadow. And then I have a light beard in about a business week.Last edited by noparlpf; 2012-10-14 at 07:28 AM.

Re: You! (A picture/Media thread) Thread XXXI: Roman Numerals Make Everything Fancy
HOLY coid is good-looking
Went to a hockey game last night.
WOOOOEEEE
was that fun.
SPOILER ALERT: SHIRTLESS GWYN (AND OTHER PEOPLE)
Spoiler
We have MAD spirit! We got soooo rowdy I'm surprised they didn't kick us out...
It TECHNICALLY says Redmeen!, but that's because the E on the far right had a sore throat and so sat last period out, so we got a new E, the guy on his left, who previously had only had big stars on his nipples. Realistically, it said Redmen.
Spoiler
See? It says RED(starnipples)MEN. Backwards. At that point we realized that the picture would say it backwards, so we started chanting "REDMEN BACKWARDS! REDMEN BACKWARDS!"
At one point I started a chant of "WE WILL CHANT ANYTHING! WE WILL CHANT ANYTHING!"
Cuz it was true.
Anyhow, one more picture, where the E and the N meet up with Ian (geddit!) who was wearing the epic morphsuit.

I've been considering making a costume like that and I've never found a good way to make the feet, sooo, is, could I know your secret?

Re: You! (A picture/Media thread) Thread XXXI: Roman Numerals Make Everything Fancy
The secret is don't do it the way I did it. Depending on what you want (in terms of comfort and height), the best way to do it is digitigrade stilts. Makes you quite tall though. I did it with high heels (5") with the heels cut off. You can get shoes that are made without the heel (I didn't do my research) and that's probably a better way to go as they'd balance weight better. I'm remaking the feet as I could barely stand or walk by the end of the day with the current set up.

Re: You! (A picture/Media thread) Thread XXXI: Roman Numerals Make Everything Fancy
PallElendro: Interesting effect. Disturbing. But interesting.
Nifty swag though.
Dallas, has anyone ever told you that you'd look phenomenal with some further fore-arm development? Looking good so far, but I'm getting a feeling like dang.
A feeling that honestly kind of confuses me where it came from, haha.
Also, we need more pictures of you capturing maidens.
Good dog. Good chocolate. Manage to look surprisingly convincingly like a group of good kids whose only vice involves smoking occasionally.
I made a cake. It was kind of a random effort brought on by the madness of midnight.

Re: You! (A picture/Media thread) Thread XXXI: Roman Numerals Make Everything Fancy
Speaking of attractive young males.
Last night was a beer pong tournament.
With prizes for best costume.
Teams of 3.
Spoiler
I spent way too much money buying ridiculous clothes.
Spoiler
Everyone had such great costumes!
Spoiler
Taking stock of all of our resources... it's BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage). Could be water if you wanted. We chose PBR because we're hipsters in McGill. it's what you drink.
Spoiler
Here we are actually playing.
We won our first game, so we made it into the winner bracket, but then we went up against one of the better teams as our second game, and JUST lost. It was sudden death after the time limit ran out, and it was SO CLOSE. UGH. But then we just chilled
Spoiler
and hung out
Spoiler
I wish I could post all the photos of everyone else's costume, because some of the team costumes were REALLY GOOD. Like, it was AWESOME how many teams actually got legit costumes. But it'd be creepy. So here are some of the descriptions of my favourites:
One girl dressed up as a beer keg.
One team was Buzz Lightbeer, and Jessy and Woody.
One team had these giant foam beer-stein hats!
One team was various Old Testament characters.
One team were pimpin' with these huge fur coats, pimpin' shades and basically nothing underneath but boxers.
TWO teams were Playboy themed.
TWO teams were French-Stereotype themed! One of the French-Stereotype teams was even French!
One team was like, Confucius. All 3 of them. Including stereotypical fake moustaches and beards.
One team, one of the girls was wearing skimpy clothing and a sign on her chest saying "hoe", the other girl was wearing green with cardboard flowers all over her and a sign that said "garden". GEDDIT. GARDEN HOE!
One team of all girls dressed up as cats.
The team that beat us were dressed after a certain SNL skit involving a body part in a box. The team we beat in the first game was the not-actually-french-french-stereotype team.
There were a total of 40 teams that played this tournament.
It was INTENSE.

Re: You! (A picture/Media thread) Thread XXXI: Roman Numerals Make Everything Fancy
@Coidzor:
Coid, you must eat that cake ASAP, or else I fear that it's going to eat you!
Chilled? You look completely inconsolable in this picture.
Sounds like an awesome happening in overall. I suppose I could do stuff like this regularly as well if I had the drive to. Costumes, while awesome, also require some time to put together, and I'm never going to find that time without having to scrap some of my other hobby projects for good...Clouddreamer Teddy by me, high above the world, far beyond its matters...
