Huh, if a pony is a creature totaly consumed by friendship is a pony, than what exactly does that make a changeling.....

Changlings are a pony offshoot that arose during the 'love wars', a dark time in Equestria history where ponies in an attempt to become more powerful were using artificial means such as the Want it Need it spell and Love Poison to harness the power of friendship. This fake friendship however backfired and turned the ponies into a new form, one that has an insatiable hunger for real love as well as the power they draw from it.

so... judging by the very small sample...and there are minor exceptions of course, but the conclusion is...

Unicorn females prefers to date other unicorns
All ponies prefer to date pegasus mares!!!
Poor earth pony mares are mostly too busy with careers to date.

Pegasi advertise their virility via wing plumage, hence the "wing boner" effect
when they want to attract a mate

Unicorns, of course, are attracted to unicorns with longer and thicker horns, which are a sign of good genetic makeup and health as well as magical aptitude.

The poor Earth ponies have no such physical characteristics that can be used for signalling, so they compete for mates by impressing them with feats of courage, strength, or ability to provide. That's why they're so focused on learning a useful trade and accumulating wealth, compared to the other two races.

Didn't you notice the arguing between Wildfire (pegasus) and Shamrock (earth pony) in The Royal Wedding? Cadence did her magic love thingy on them. So they're technically a couple. Also, I just realized something.

Lyra and Bon Bon technically aren't lesbians since they're separate species. Right?
