A duck the size of an elephant is paddling across the lake, pausing every now and again to turn itself upside down to dabble on the lack bottom.

It looks very silly.

Rebo really isn't sure where the duck came from.

"Hey there! Quack!" The much smaller duck says, in Common, actually saying the word quack and waving his wing.

Tarin starts awkwardly climbing the tree after Butler, her dress not helping matters. "Come down, Mr. Kitty Man! The earth vampire is gone, and everyone is back!"

Astrana opens her mouth but stops as well and rolls her eyes, "Yes, there is. You probably need to climb up there and save him now, if he moves it will devour him whole." She says as she slowly steps up to the tree.

Valente, who is still totally here and clearly wasn't forgotten, goes ov er too, barely suppressing laughter. This is just cruel.

These were the last two posts directly related to it I believe.

Butler looks down at Tarin.
"It-it's gone ma'am? Where d-did it go ma'am?"
He asks, not really moving. Hmmm... getting down could be problematic. Might need a fireman.

"He... dug down through the earth, to the other side of the world! He's in China right now." Tarin continues to try and clamber up the trunk, failing to retain elevation and dignity. "It's safe to come down, Mr. Cat Boy!"

"He's in the dishes ma'am?! But I haven't had a chance to clean them yet today ma'am!"

Butler starts scurrying down to meet Tarin. The last thing he needs on his hands is a dirty dishes death fiasco.

He's also far better at climbing trees than Tarin. But then, he doesn't have a dress in the way.

When they meet, Tarin starts to clim down, but slips and grabs for something to steady herself. Maybe Butler's tail by accident.

Butler yowls and promptly falls out of the tree. It was quite unexpected. No doubt they both come tumbling down now.

It's probably a good thing Tarin isn't a great climber and they were all the way at the top.

With any luck, the two people at the bottom who was laughing at them now get break their fall.

What's being stalked by something in return. He may have sensed eyes watching him for the past several minutes, but Waterstrider is well camouflaged, his tan fur making it easy for him to make a few alternations and blend in. What was a new scent in the area, and it didn't smell like a good one either. His paw tightens around the hatchet in his waistband, but he doesn't act yet.

Oh dear, Valente was standing a bit too close. He abruptly stops laughing and falls backward in his attempt to get away. Well, he doesn't get crushed at least, but it's probably close.

Well hello there, Marley! Very sweet of you, to just nap there helplessly like that and leave yourself wide open to attack. Kinda disappointing, though. What would've really appreciated it if you at least screamed a little. If you have to be paralyzed in place, he would've much preferred you be paralyzed with fear. Whatever though, we can make do with this. The wolfen that What doesn't know about could turn out to be more than enough excitement, though.

What reaches into his sexy nurse costume, and pulls out some gauze. I have no idea what gauze could possibly useful for here, though. How is he going to-

Oh, I see! He's trying to bind Marley's legs to each other ahead of time, so as to make it that much harder if the guy wakes up and tries to run away! Clever.

Aaaaaand (assuming the gauze thing went without a hitch) here comes the first needle, right in Marley's left arm!

Warmth and reassurance are projected, along with comforting. But the stress remains, just not as strong as before.

Quinn does indeed start withdrawing from Caroline's mind. There's only so much she can do without permission...and only so much she can do inside.

Well, you never know when some bastard will, for example, just off the top of my head, shoot you in the back of the neck with a tranquilliser rifle.

WHY THE HELL DO YOU CARE ANYWAY! YOU CHOP DOWN THOUSANDS OF THE BUGGERS! She rants as she drops her battleaxe and pulls a shield made of the same teal material off of her back, charging at Teq with the intent of using her warhammer to drive his head through the precious tree he loves so much.

While the dwarf draws her shield, Teq draws his sword. It's curved forward, single-edged, very clearly a chopping weapon. Not at all suited for fighting someone in heavy armor.

Teq steps aside with preturnatural grace. The dwarf may well find her hammer stuck in the tree rather than his skull.

He slips around, squatting and swinging his hooked sword in an attempt to sweep his opponent off her feet. Or foot. But still, with that much gear, the fall will be that much harder to recover from.

Let's discuss Adamantine.

It's impossibly light, stronger than steel, and ridiculously valuable.

The most relevant part right now, I suspect, is the impossibly light one. Perhaps that - combined with the unnaturally high agility which a legendary combat dwarf should posses - can explain why she's getting up so fast.

Teq might want to press his advantage while he still has it.

Teq doesn't stop. He comes out of the squat and continues in that direction, skidding to a stop beside Tobias. Provided the dwarf can't reach out and grab him, Teq puts his sword to the druid's throat. Nearly knicking the skin, considering how fast he had to do it. Easy, Teq, easy.

He says nothing, the message self-explanatory. The assassin half-doubts this will work, considering the hate this dwarf seems to have toward elves.

Astrana groans and slowly attempts to get up from the ground by crawling underneath Butler and Tarin. "Pain... some help over here?" She asks in a hoarse voice.

Valente gets to his feet first, predictqbly enough, and rushes over to help Astrana. "Are you okay?" He asks with concern as he helps her get up and away from the others. Wonder why Bulter and Tarin don't get the same treatment.

Butler gets up and sets about apologizing profusely to all three of the other people and giving a quick hello to Brinika.
