After hitting the twentieth or so piece of fanart I did of the Order of the Stick, I decided to start my own thread rather than keep spamming the Fanart thread with my (more often than not) messy contributions.

I can't help but draw anything but OotS during class since I discovered the comic so I might as well share it with fellow fanatics. :)

Some of the feet seem a bit strange...
But I'm able to ignore that for the fact the rest is brilliant.

They are very good overall.

Roy's feet look fine to me, but he looks a little skinny. We know he isn't the normal muscle bound fighter, but he simply doesn't look like someone that spends any amount of time swinging a sword around.
With both him and Durkon, it basically looks like they are wearing a shirt with shoulderpads on and not any other short of upper body armor.
While Durkon would probably have your normal set of full plate, I would personally see Roy in more of a coat of plates, which doesn't have the spiky bits of full plate, but it will still fill out his frame a bit more too.

The only thing with Haley's feet is the fact that they bend forward below the knee.

They all looks good though, especially the V and Haley ones.

Thanks for the comments and the criticism, you're right about the feet of course... XD I have no idea how they ended up like that. O..o And I'll make sure to pay more attention to muscles and armour the next time I draw Roy, too. XD

Oh, that one I have an excuse for.

I do these in class with the paper flat in front of me and often don't look exactly straight at it, so the pictures sometimes end up looking a bit skewed.

Honestly, all the people who are happy that Vaarsuvius got his comeuppance for being so arrogant? This is brutal.

I felt like I was drawing a 'game over' screen for Space Quest or something. I can understand that sort of attitude towards Miko or even Celia, but Vaarsuvius?

Those are awesome... I want to know how you colored the dragon, because it's very, very cool.

The only thing I find strange is the circle in front of it... At first I thought that was the moon in the background, and that the wings were transparent, but then I saw the right wing, and I noticed something was... Off. I couldn't quite figure out what the circle was, but the rest of it is excellent.

The characters are sweet, too. I personally like Haley, Varsuuvius' older picture (though it looks slightly too effeminate), the black dragon and Elan.

Yeah. If you look in the actual comic, there's a grey circle there too.

Anyway, I especially like your V, Haley, and the dragon. The coloring on the dragon is amazing, too.

Yep, the grey circle is the Anti-Magic Field.

Quite interesting that you like the colouring of the dragon one... XD After all, it is basically just a flat fill-in. Not even the most basic shading there. To answer the question of how exactly I coloured it, though, I scanned the sketch, messed with the filters in Paint Shop Pro 8 and painted the colour underneath the black lines. A bad idea, because cleaning up the line layer kept messing up my other layers and made things a pain.

I'll probably be doing Team Evil next, though I'm open to alternate/additional suggestions. XD

And so as not to post empty-handidly... While I do not have any new sketches to upload, I have a treat for Vaarsuvius fans (or any still remaining

) - a full-colour picture I finished some time ago. Technically I already posted it in the OotS Fanart, but this IS my thread, after all, so I might as well upload the picture I spent the freakishly longest period of time on...

You are an amazing artist.

I particularly liked the Haley, out of the non-V sketches, I'd love to see a full color of her, but I know those take time. (My mom does some stuff like this for a living, when she isn't knitting that is.)

As for the full color V... WOW. May I use it as my wallpaper?

The large picture of V is obviously the best. I wish I knew how to create spell effects like that... ^^ You clearly put a lot of effort in it and it shows. Hard to find such a dedicated fan of V these days ^^

I also like Hinjo and Kubota, who are close to how I envisioned them myself. Good work on the picture of Hinjo on Argent in particular. However, I think the Team Evil pictures of Xykon and Redcloak don't really measure up to the rest. It might be due to me being especially picky with my favorite characters and them being probably the most difficult to draw, but having seen Argent and V, evidence suggests you could do better with the Mammoth and Xykon's robes

Nonetheless, keep it up! I look forward to seeing more of your character interpretations.

That's because I was planning to do them next and give them the honour of a separate update. ;P And by "them" I mean Lord Shojo and the real power in the city.

Thanks for the comments, you're right about Team Evil... I'm not too happy with the mammoth myself, but I didn't have a reference on hand when I drew it and ran out of space to boot... I'll definitely be giving that another try. :)

While I'll have to get a bit more practice doing old geezers and cats before I try doing Shojo, I have completed my second attempt at Redcloak. A portrait this time, to make things easier, because you can't fit a frickin' HUGE mammoth onto an A4 sheet without making his rider frickin' TINY, and Redcloak deserves better than that.

That one is SO much better

The whole execution is great, with proper shading and all that snazzy stuff ^^ I also like your interpretation of his clothes, that was something I could never really figure out for myself when trying to envision him.

He does look a little 'human', though - I'm no expert on DnD goblins, but do they really have human noses and eyebrows? (then again, he'd probably look a little too savage as a 'classic' goblin)

The other pictures are cool as well (except for the fact that anything depicting Celia can not be cool by default

), especially Miko. Spot-on, perfect depiction of her, at least to me.
