Kobold week is actually a pretty good idea.

Wasn't there a thread in friendly banter dedicated to setting up weeks like this?

Yes, Kobold week does sound awesome.

I personally have no idea why a Saint executed by the Romans for aiding the then persecuted Christians was chosen as namesake for a Hallmark Holiday. Happy SAD anyway.

If you mean a week where everyone has Kobold avatars, while awesome, it would be quite limiting. Perhaps a Monstrous Humanoid week instead, so people can pick from a wider range of creatures? Or better yet, just a DnD Monster Week, so people can use anything from the books/OotS.

1) Kobold week!
2) Monstorous humanoid week? A bit questionable...
3) Okay, DnD monster week? WAAAAY too broad.

While Kobolds are awesome, and would certainly be the master race in any fantasy setting, if it weren't for the jealousy of various Gods, not everyone likes them.

Monstrous Humanoid, meaning any Humanoid creature that is not simply a Human/Elf/Dwarf/etc. Gives people some variety.

Broader is better for avatar weeks (in most cases). Many people on this site are unacquainted with the DnD rules, knowing them only through OotS.

Only gnomes dont like them. And EVERYBODY hates gnomes.

We should have an Anti-gnome week as well !

Remember kids ! Say no to gnomes !

I think it makes it rather pointless. If we want it to be broad, lets just do your regular avatar week.

@Bayar: Down with the Gnome scourge! (which is pretty much why they're in the 4e monster manual)

Yuck, I hate valentines day. In one day I've already been:

1 - Dumped
2 - In a car crash
3 - had my hoodie stolen
4 - cut my neck
5 - made my mom mad.

Im curious as to who instigated Amotis week...
I know people like variety, but thats why we have this random stuff.
I'm sorry, but DnD creature week is WAAAY too broad. It's pretty much "Keep your avatar the way it is" week, which, in second thought, wouldnt actually be too bad a thing.

You're 12, being dumped at 12 doesn't mean anything, shouldn't you still be afraid of cooties? Or did you already get your circle circle dot dot?

My thoughts exactly. It's completely commercial.
I'm actually happy that I'm alone today. No wasting money.
I don't need to buy an over priced card to show my love for someone.

Well now, you can't bunch everyone together like that. Might I remind you of clone week? Some people enjoy the hive mind thing.

..

Prepare for the Rant!
Why does everyone hate gnomes?! There is nothing wrong with them, save misrepresentation! They have been portrayed as annoying pranksters, annoying tinkerers, and annoying halflings, just more annoying!
If I were in charge, I'd just get rid of halfings and have gnomes replace them. Halflings have no place in D&D, it's ripping off Tolkien. Actually, they were originally called 'hobbits', but Tolkein's lawyers intervened. SRD changed the name to halfings. For some reason, that was okay.
Halflings have no place in D&D. Gnomes have the potential to be a really awesome race. D&D is just leeching off LotR's popularity with tall, hot elves, orcs, grumpy comedic-relief dwarves, and HALFLINGS!
Orcs I can understand, I guess. I would prefer we not have them, but I've had some pretty cool campaigns with them. But we have no need for halfings! We have gnomes for that! Because of halflings, gnomes are too unfocused to be popular!
DEATH TO ALL HALFLINGS!!! LEAVE THE ****ing GNOMES ALONE!!!!
Okay, I'm done. I still think we need our own website.
Also, nobody answered my question about Bilbo.

I am open to them being good characters, however.

Well, what would the game be without a small race?
And no, we don't want Large races. Because Large guys are more dangerous to make fun of.
