The Punch-line was a little weak, but hey. It's the first comic.

Notice that Kirby doesn't have quite as wide eyes as you give him. Otherwise, I think it can be good.

I don't want to sound too critical or anything, but don't you think taking Kirby as the main character of your comic feels somewhat like a rip-off?

Not just that, but it also could make the story weaker. We all know Kirby already, making his character uninteresting and character development harder, if not impossible.

Still, I'm not closed to the concept of this being a good comic. After all, we have only seen one comic so far.

It doesn't really feel like a rip-off to me, and there will be other main characters eventually, at least one should be introduced by comic 5.

You know Kirby, but not this Kirby.

1. this comic takes place outside the traditional Kirby universe
2. there is an entire race of kirby's, it's not too far a stretch to think that more than one may end up being named Kirby.

So, the name of Kirby's race is Kirby. Individual kirbies can have different names, but the race as a whole is referred to as Kirby because of the one Exemplar of the race: Kirby.

I wonder if there was once a human named Human who epitomized all anyone could be...maybe this kirby could usurp Kirby and change the name of his entire race.

Judging by the reactions, the comic wasn't very good, and rereading it myself, It wasn't anywhere near as good as my half-asleep mind thought it was, so either tomorrow or tuesday after school I'll remake comic 2 without Michael.

These first 2 comics were just to introduce Kirby and his love for hats, the plot will start developing more in the next few comics.

This is a pretty simple one, I'm letting you guys, my readers, make the name for the cat. The person who's name I choose will get a cameo in the comic, and will be featured in the comic's First sig banner.

They're quite good.
The art's good, but the dialogue does need a little work.
I do like the idea of the guy on the phone understanding the cat.

May I suggest the very original name of Dr. McCat for the cat?

No, on second thoughts, how about Fedora? Ties in with the Hat theme nicely, and I just thought how awesome it would be to have a cat named Fedora.

By the way, the cat is a boy. The cat name contest will end this saturday at 12:00 p.m. EST, and I should have the comic that introduces the cat's name later that day, however you may not get your cameo until near comic 10.

Sorry about the lack of updates lately, I have been busy, but I do have some things to say.

1. There will be at least one comic up tomorrow, two if I have enough time/ if I can get my attention span to get in to one of It's stretchy moods.

2. The winner of the cat name contest is GrlumpTheElder, honorable mention goes to Dogmantra, but Fedora doesn't sound like a boy cat's name. Grlump will get both of his cameos by Wednesday at the latest.

3. I did get some things done this week though, I tweaked some of the characters a little and added in some of the subtle details that distinguish good artwork from pretty good artwork. These little tweaks will be shown in the next few comics.
