What ? There are no Sci-Fi ABR plots. All of them of fantasy.
And why does Sci-Fi mean that browns are out ? It is a perfectly normal choice of colour.

No, it has dragons, magic and vampires. Completely fantasy.
Advanced technology ≠ Sci-Fi.

I'd say the Sovices definitely would come under the category of Sci-fi. And since they have a big role in FI... I'd say Nameless is right in it being sci-fi ish.

Oh please... magic and vampires can
easily be transitioned to sci-fi. Would you call FF8 a fantasy?

Yes. It is called Final
Fantasy , after all.
But seriously, FF8 was mostly Fantasy, with like, bits of Sci-fi. That's not a good example.

Fantasy is about magic (the impossible), and Sci-Fi is about future technology/science (the possible).
The Sovices use magic. Therefore, they are fantasy.

Since when has it been stated that the Sovices use magic? Why, I just looked at the ABR wiki, and what I gathered from that, is that they use nanomachines.

Completely fantasy? I don't think so. Advanced technology might not equal sci-fi, but it is a staple of the genre. I'd say it's a little bit of both sci-fi and fantasy. The two genres can easily be mixed.

A primitive could say that the Lord of the Rings is Sci-Fi because it has swords, which are advanced technology (for his time).

...There is such thing as Science Fantasy, you know. Star Wars is a case in point. It has both magic and super advanced technology. Steampunk is also considered Sci-Fi, or Science Fantasy if there are still fantasy elements in.

???????????
No he couldn't.
Swords were not advanced in the time period Tolkein wrote the Lord of the Rings.
@V: Oh, lol. I though MM meant primitive as in a stupid person (don't ask why. I have no idea) XD
A primative human would probably not be able to read it in the first place and be more amazed with the time-travel technology that would be needed to get him and the books together.
But aside from that I see what you mean now.
