Default WINNERS of the Fall/Winter NPC Portrait Contest

Okay, folks - the moment you've been waiting for. The winners for the Portrait Contest are:

Art
Best Realistic/Comic Art: Dawn Van'Wynteer by PandaGaki
A clear winner in this category and the biggest landslide, with about half the total votes cast and a full 6 more than any other entry in this category.

Best Anime/Manga Art: Avanaco "Avi" Istas by Wukei
Another clear winner, with more than half the votes and a full 5 more than any other entry in this category.

Best Stick Figure Art: Qoppa-en-san, ettin bard by palcosmo
This category featured a tie between Qoppa and Ulrich the Bitter by Izekichi; the tie was broken in favor of Qoppa.

Best Computer Rendered Art: Malager Grimvale by Ragnarok
The voting was tight here, but Malagar was the clear winner, edging out the next nearest by two votes.

Best Other Art: The Snow Queen by Phasm
Another clear win here, though again only by two votes over the next nearest.

Best Interpretation of the Character: Kobun the Scalebreaker by Skyserpent
Kobun pulled away in this category, making him the clear winner.

NPC Design
Best Ally: Donovan Silverwind by Tarkahn
The tightest category of any; this one featured half the entries in the contest getting at least one vote. Qoppa-en-san and Donovan Silverwind both had one more vote than anyone else, and their tie was broken in favor of Donovan.

Best Adversary: The Snow Queen by Phasm
The Snow Queen ran away with this one, with four more votes than any other entry in this category.

Best Character Bio: Kobun the Scalebreaker by Skyserpent
Another tight one, with Kobun edging out the next nearest contestant by a single vote.

Best Low Level Character (CR 1-5): Ulrich the Bitter by Izekichi
Another tie here, between Avi Istas and Ulrich, with the tie breaker favoring Ulrich.

Best Low-Mid Level Character (CR 6-10): Ashadur the Red by heretic
Another category where the winner took it by a single vote, but still a clear winner!

Best High-Mid Level Character (CR 11-15): Twilight by Sucros
Yet another tight one, but Twilight emerged the clear victor.

Best High Level Character (CR 16-20): The Snow Queen by Phasm
Another big win for the Snow Queen, with three more votes than any other entry in this category.

General
Funniest Character: Saint Kalauz, the Icy Avenger by The_Glyphstone
Saint Kalauz owned this category, emerging the clear favorite.

Best Overall: The Snow Queen by Phasm
Only Best Ally was closer than this one, but the Snow Queen again pulled off a victory.

Gorby’s Seal of Approval: Donovan Silverwind by Tarkahn
Picking the winner for my award was rough this time. Normally, I find one or two clear favorites after I read through the entries, but this time there were so many I really liked it was very hard to choose! In the end, I'm giving the nod to Donovan Silverwind.

Congratulations to all the winners!

Hey! Donovan won a few!

Congrats to all the art winners! There was a lot of original and beautiful art displayed. Also, nice job on the character bios, everyone. I'll tell ya. It was hard choosing who got what vote.

Can't wait till the next contest.

Yay. Another notch on the belt. :D

Any chance posting the voting totals, so I can see how much Saint Kalauz lost by in all the other categories. ;D

OH MY GAWD!! :o

I totally did not expect this. Maybe Other Art and Best Adversary, but Best High-Level AND Best Overall?? ::stunned and amazed:: Holy guacamole! My first contest, even! There were so many other great entries... wow.

So, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who voted for the Snow Queen! (The Queen graciously thanks everyone as well, and offers her 'special' hot mulled wine all around. I wouldn't drink it if I were you.) If anyone decides to use her in a PbP, would you let me know so I can tune in and watch her insidious evilness in action?

Muchos kudos to all the other winners, and to everyone who had the guts to enter!

Oh...I come back to a nice surprise. I won ^.^ yay. Funny, cuz Avi was actually gonna get replaced, but I didn't have time after disappearing like that.

That's okay, Avi was cute...and I knew I wouldn't win anything in actually producing an NPC. It was his personality that was the only good thing in the writing part of the contest.

Thanks for all the votes (even though this thank you is a little late in coming.)
