Cheese is based on someone in real life, which is part of the reason I thought that this comic contained too many inside jokes. But yeah, I guess all of those emotions apply. In reality, she was about 13 when I first wrote this comic, and her personality hasn't suffered a major change in the past year or so.
Re: The Weekly Life In Simon's Basement - An OotS Style Comic
Alright, it certainly has been a while, but I'm back! I had a few technical difficulties, but those have been resolved, so now I should be updating a lot more frequently.
I would also like to direct your attention to the fancy new site I've got (kinda) thanks to the fine folks at ComicFury. There isn't really anything in the way of extra content, but the series is much easier to read there. Enjoy!
One last note. I have done other noon-WLiSB comics for my DeviantArt, including a spinoff series called Out of Game Knowledge, which features the players instead of the characters. Would you guys be interested in seeing some other comics here? That is, should I link my other comics here as well?

Hmm...Interesting idea, although I made a few couple of changes to Dave that I'm not going to reveal for a couple more comics. You've already seen the hat in 10a, but there's something else as well, and I thought this would make it a tad more dramatic. I am, however, going to take 10a out of the lineup, making the reveal a bit better.

Good, although I think you should set one fixed size on your text and keep it to that.
If that were true, my players would be some of the best role-players I've met!
I see your point, but it really helps illustrate a change in volume, such as when they're shouting or mumbling. I might include a slight change in font as well to help separate the two, but I don't think it'd work as well in those situations if I left it the same size.
Re: The Weekly Life In Simon's Basement - An OotS Style Comic
Alright, it looks like I forgot to change it here, but I'm taking 10a: Just to F--- With You out of the archive, since it reduces some of the dramatic effect of Dave's recent reveal. I am, however, leaving it as an extra, so make of it what you will.
Speaking of extras, I decided to add an unblurred version of comic 14 in as well. It's there if you're interested.
I wasn't all that happy with how this came out. The original joke was made because Dave would draw mustaches on the hand-drawn comics, but that didn't really work for this version. I faced the decision of either rewriting this comic, or restructuring this entire group of comics. This seemed like the best choice.
I'm now proud to announce that I plan to have a regular update schedule, with a new comic every Monday and Friday.
We'll see how long this lasts, but I'm hoping it works out. Oh, and a couple of important notes. I'm going to be out of town for a few days, so I may miss the next update or two. It all depends on when I have an internet connection. Also, when I say comic, it could apply to another OotS-Style comic I've been making, Out of Game Knowledge, as well. I haven't been posting them here, but if anyone's interested, I could start.
Alright, thanks for reading, and I will be back soon!

Oh, before I forget, in your archive you have one #18 and one #18a.
Yeah, that's intentional. I originally hand-drew the comic (you can see the crappy originals on my deviantart, if you are so inclined), and I'm still in the process of remaking them. Every so often I think of a good comic to place in certain areas, so I've made a few extra comics, such as after 7 and 8. This entire arc of them saving Jon is a bonus arc, seeing as how I skipped over it originally, so that might spoil a bit about how it's resolved, but I hope you enjoy it all the same.
I'm gonna be against the flow here and say outlined.
What? Everyone else are against the flow too, okay?

its not funny,sorry
the DM narraration is a good idea but you pretty much copied evrything from OOTS.
it can get better if you would change the ''killing maniac halfling'' thame to a ''friendly jolly peacfull halfling'' thame.
just by saying this i feel like i can do that to outer webcomics! muhahahaha

I don't know about "everything", but I will admit that a lot, especially closer to the beginning, is quite similar to OotS.
I have been trying to spread out, and that should be more evident later on, but I'm still mostly working with comics that I wrote quite a while back. After comic 26, they will all be brand new, so I'll have more room to show a more original side. That'll most likely involve me dropping Jack's gender ambiguity, hopefully giving Stumpy some more personality, and, of course, better establishing Dave as a separate character. I agree that he really does need a shift from where he is now, but I'm not going to go as far as you suggested. Still, some new tendencies and personality traits should be showing up soon, as I hinted here.

I'm glad you liked them! Unlike most of the comics I've been posting, they're actually brand new, so I hope it's a bit more telling of how this comic will go.
