This marks the end of the comics I originally drew by hand. Basically, this means that my comics will no longer be based on work I made almost two years ago, when I first started making comics, but will instead show a lot more of what I've learned in this...wow, two years? Really? Okay...two years of making comics. To put that in perspective, I very nearly cut that last comic because I wasn't too fond of it, and I really only kept it in since I had almost finished without making any major changes (although if I did cut it, I would have missed that great "pun damage" line, Zersk ). The bonus comics, however, are more recently written, so they might give you a better idea of what the comic will be like now.
Long story short, the comics will hopefully be better, but I probably made the change sound much more dramatic than it really will be.
Now for some bad news, unfortunately. With school back in, I've got nowhere near as much free time as I did before, so I'm going to have to restart my hiatus. You'll probably see some comics every now and then, but there's no way I'll be able to maintain a regular update schedule and keep my sanity.
I'm glad to see there are more people reading this here, and thanks for your comments and your interest!
I hit 10,000 pageviews on Deviantart, my original host, so I've decided to celebrate by updating again! Expect comics Mondays and Fridays until I run out. That could be fairly soon, but summer's approaching, so there'll be a lot more then. Half my archive was made last summer, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was more this year.
I'm gonna be against the flow here and say outlined.
What? Everyone else are against the flow too, okay?

Are you referring to this strip, or the comic in general?
I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about, but they do have slightly oval-shaped heads, which could cause what you're seeing. I mentioned it in the first post, but I'll put it here again to clarify.

Updating all the characters would take a bit of time and effort, though, and none of the readers at the time really felt that it would be necessary.
If that isn't the problem, or even if it is, I would appreciate it if you elaborated. I never mind advice about improving my work!

That bit was pretty funny. Can't wait for more!

Re: The Weekly Life In Simon's Basement - An OotS Style Comic
Wow, my plans to make more updates during the summer didn't pan out at all!
Sorry about that! Fortunately, I'm now able to say that I'm updating again (for a while at least ).
Here's the new comic, and expect them Mondays and Fridays as long (or short, which would probably be accurate chronologically, though not grammatically) as I can keep it up!
