Oh my god. I cannot help you. Zits is lame.
Pearls Before Swine once did a great series on how the comics page got so lame. It summed it up pretty well.

Personally, I don't find newspaper comics funny anymore. I still read them though. I don't know why.
The only one that has ever made me laugh ever was
Get Fuzzy , and in my newspaper they replaced it with
W.T Duck , a comic about duck photographers that's as funny as a fatal tumor. That is, not at all.
