I know I haven't been posting regularly for a while now, but I think I've hit a point where I need to leave the forums altogether.

I intend to return at some point, but I don't want to make promises about when or even if it will happen.

I really do love a lot of GitP members and have some wonderful memories. For those of you who don't know, I met my current girlfriend here (as well as many close friends). I'd love to stay in touch with so many of you, and hopefully will. But I just don't feel safe or comfortable here any more. I hope you can understand.

As the prophecy foretold, the indefinite period of my back-ness is over. I am going to be gone for quite a while, say, around six months-ish.

And maybe I'm too thin skinned, that's possible.

But I feel unwelcome on the parts of the forum that I love, and I have no other real place. I'm drowning in loads of work IRL, so maybe it'll be better if I'm gone anyway.

But that's beside the point.

I can't stay here any longer. I quit the chat room for similar reasons, and now it's spreading to here. I'm constantly coming away from GITP feeling terrible, worse than before, and that has to stop. I'm on thin enough ice when it comes to my mental well-being, and I cannot afford to ruin that by indulging my optimistic side, which keeps trying to screen out the bad times, and stay here.

I'll be online for the rest of today, so feel free to PM me if there's anything I have to do before I leave I've forgotten. I'll also be remaining in my DnD game, so those guys don't have to worry about replacing me 'n all. But I am taking at least a long break from the main forums.

I'm sorry I failed you.
