Our theme this month is...
A Series of Unfortunate Events
Have you ever had a day that just went from bad to badder? You say to yourself, well, it couldn't possibly get any worse... and then it did. This is one of those days, except much, much worse. What's it like when horrible things happen to stick people?

There will be a First through Third place award for each of the following, with trophies by Oblivion:
Most Unfortunate Avatar (any avatar-sized submission) Most Unfortunate OOTS Avatar (any avatar sized Order of the Stick based submission) Most Unfortunate Scene (anything larger than the above) Most Unfortunate Rookie Entry (if this is your first contest all your entries automatically fall under this category, along with the main category)
And, as always, the Best Overall award.
I'll also voice my opinion on which entry is the most kick-awesome in the form of a VT's Choice Award, which may be anything that tickles my fancy or was shamelessly tailored to my tastes (I approve of shamelessessness).
Rules 1. Every entry must include a bolded introduction as to what category you are trying to enter in.
2. Every entry must include a bolded introduction as to what your entry is.
For example: Most Unfortunate Scene Sexless Horror by h_v
3.Only the avatarist who created the avatar may submit it.
However, you may submit old creations as long as they have never been entered into an Iron Avatar Thread before. It does not have to be something made specifically for this thread.
4. All entries must be posted by Halloween at Noon Eastern Standard Time.

Its been a while since I read those books you've inspired me to track them down and read them again As for the competition I'm gunna have to put some thought into it.

Elan's Bad Day by Silverraptor
Another question. I have a problem that when I load a picture I made that's really big, it always gets shrunk down. Yet I see other people who post BIG pictures on this competition. I have a scene in mind, but I know it'll be shrunk down if I make it. How do I stop it from doing that?

Check your settings on Photobucket. You might have it on the less-than-maximum maximum.
Every eye is an eye. When you are doing the surgery [in 3rd-world countries] it is just as important as if you were doing eye surgery on the Prime Minister or the King.

Man, these are depressing...
Hm. How about... a tourist bumping into one Australian danger after another! Or... the Wicked Witch of the West's demise! (or the East's for that matter) (better yet, have some devious twist - she was bringing the Munchikins some brownies!)

It's hard to show how unfourtunate events are without attempting to rip out your heartstrings and use them as a jump-rope, or whatever kids call 'em these days...

Well, it's hard to do multiple unfortunate events in a single picture, so people are using single unfortunate events, which is generally something very sad.
Perhaps somebody could do a picture which implies that a giant chain of many terrible things is about to start?
