Whether it was a Dune reference or not, it is an awesome turn of events!

Of course it's a Dune reference. He's even got the blue eyes.

Yay, Purple Worm!

Ok, so is this the end of the line for Belkar?

I've not seen or read Dune, so I guess some of the stuff in this strip is lost on me.

!!!!

I wonder if this ties into the main plot somehow. Is this how they all gain some levels on Xykon?

I love the Dune reference, as well as the depiction of Belkar. " "Safe" is for NPC's, I live on the edge"". Simply brilliant

Good to see you are back, Giant

I'm surprised you didn't pick it up from the title, which seems to also be a play on the recent OOTS withdrawal symptoms on display around here.

Typical Durkon, often trying to get drunk after something unbelievable, and even if it is believable.

I wonder if that spice will lead to Belkar's death, as an addiction could cause him to seek more, even if it is 500ft down a cliff.

Does that mean that Belkar's mental stats just doubled?

And yeah, Elan could use some extra INT points

Also - Belkar - awesome as always

Durkon - bland, boring as ever.

Didn't get the Dune reference until I realized Belkar's got blue eyes. Crap, if that stuff really is melange...
First, if it is melange probably that can Belkar got is worth more or less like the whole rest of his level appropriate gear...

Second, the spice gives some sort of foretelling power, as well as some other enhancements I don't really remember. I wonder what Belkar will get.
