Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
It's a little known fact that The Emperor was a complete douchebag before he decided to take a nap on the golden chair. Don't believe me? Ask Lorgar.
Comic 467 is up. More extremely important information comes into play. And for some reason I can't get from A to B. =\ Hopefully 468 will get us there. That's okay because i'm having more fun than a sentient (THERE I SAID IT!! ) ultradense mass of arcane energy should be allowed to have.

Questions? Comments? Critique?
The Emperor was loved by everybody in the galaxy, including his 17 other known primarchs. Lorgar thought he was a douchebag because he wouldn't let him worship him as a god, and the Emprah abhorred religion.
Also, i REALLY like the golden armored guy. He's hilarious.
... And a bit naiieve.
(Also, the Lectio Divinatus existed for longer than 10,000 years )

...well that, and The Emperor had Lorgar's homeworld's cities turned to glass.
As far as I can tell, the Book of Lorgar is only slightly older than 10,000 years old.
I'd contend that the Custodes, while indeed hilarious, isn't so much naive as he is ignorant. He has repeatedly said he hasn't left the Imperial Palace in over 10,000 years, for all he knows Terra is the only planet in the imperium left.
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
So, I don't know that much about 40K but, how long does a normal human being live thirty eight thousand years into the future? Has this custode really been living for ten thousand inside the palace?
On the comic hand, looks like mister High Lord of Terra might meet his doom from an aneurism.

Whats the difference between naiieve and ignorant?

Humans can receive surgery to increase their lifespans indefinitely but such operations are exceedingly expensive and rare. The custodes are rare enough and skilled enough to be worth it

Naive is more-or-less synonymous with gullibility, while ignorance is just not knowing stuff. There is overlap, but they aren't synonymous
And as far as I can tell, in the 41st millenium, there's references to humans being insanely old. Major Powers is over 200 years old. The life span of space marines is inconsistent. Some references saying several hundred years, others saying they're effectively immortal, the only noticable effects of age are aesthetic. I KNOW that Primarchs have infinite life-spans, and considering that Custodians are essentially mini-primarchs, it's not a stretch at all to say that they have infinite life spans as well.
Are there any references to how long tech priests or magos can live? I imagine it's a REALLY FREAKIN' long time considering the latter are pretty much entirely machine.
Now I THOUGHT I uploaded this comic yesterday, but as I was looking through the archives for art references for myself I noted a distinct lack of Comic 469 on the latest page.

...Is it telling of my "rapport" with the dice gods that I saw that and the first thought I had was "GOD DAMN DO I HATE HIGH A.C FOES."
I mean, between the dodge A.C, the Armour's A.C, his parrying, and Lord English knows what else, it seems unlikely that Zeno can hit this guy even ON a critical.

For a moment there I read Lord British and I chuckled.

...That you-tube video is like what would happen is Halolz tried to write a horror movie.
Also, It seems that the very presense of the Galick Gun in this setting seems to be a cause of an increasing DBZ presence.
Spoiler
Then again, I will be immensely disappointed if the guard doesn't wait until just after they finish charging, declare "Minute's up," and jump right over the beam.
Edit: I have no idea how that sappers got there. The spy proably did i- Move along citizen!
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
When was it established that the Custodes have regeneration? But yes, there are 2 other Custodes. They're doing stuff, but because this is Rand's perspective and he's not mentioning them, you don't see them.

Mini Story is a fan comic by Akrim.Elf that she submitted to my Secret Santa event. Apparently the comic is dead, but I felt inspired by one particular ongoing joke. It wasn't dead at the time, I swear!
