Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
Actually I just remembered there's a third hole. Oh well, Kayl thinks there's 2.
See if you can identify all 3! Bonus points for additional plot holes. The big brain am winning again! I am the greetest! Muahahaha! Now I am leaving Earth for no raisin!
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
The plot hole of this comic is, the only template the dragon seems to have.
The question about how that "teleporty" thing works if teleport is banned does make me wonder. However, if the system was developed by someone greater than a AI, it would make sense somehow.
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
Since I REALLY don't want to explain it in-comic, here's my rationale: It is a portal, which works by tearing open space and time with bizarre effects. To the traveler, it's like walking through a doorway. A teleport-esque effect, but not similar enough to be blocked. That's my rationale and i'm sticking to it. Besides, real life has an unfathomable number of plot holes. The only reason the previous statement is relevant is because inevitably, say...100 strips from now someone's gonna bring this up, and i'm saying this in advance: I am NOT going to dig through the thread to find this post!
Comic 478 is up. I'll be honest: I have no idea what i'm doing. But I do know where i'm going so it shouldn't be too bad.

I was going to make a Skyrim reference, then I took an arrow in the knee.
In all seriousness, I made an Oblivion reference, and accidentally turned Torn into the Dovakiin (If I could remake any WTwU character in Skyrim most easily with little difficulty, it would be Torn.) That said, Princess Luna is the only true dragonborn.
Comic 480. 5% figuring out what I was gonna do, 5% posing templates, 90% drawing the freakin' backgrounds
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
Hay guys, bad news. I dunno if you've noticed from some of my other posts, but my computer is shot. I got a diagnosis from the shop, and it's totaled.
All hope is not lost, though. I plan on getting a new one tomorrow, and the shop says that they can transfer my data from my old computer to the new one. FURTHERMORE, the computer i'm using right now does have my templates on it. The templates are over 150 comics old, and it's awkward as hell to use after all this time, but it gets the job done. Sort of.
Anyways, you'll notice that for Comic 481, the background uses my generic background template, as well as a rather old red-robed Rand instead of Commissar Rand's template. Some time after I get my stuff back, I TOTALLY plan on remaking this comic with proper backgrounds and templates.
Also, since I have dozens of pdfs, over 150 comics, a few videos, songs, several SVG files, and even almost a dozen GAMES including mods for those games probably being transfered to the new computer, don't panic if you see delays in 482's arrival. Worst-case scenario, I have to redraw a LOT of material. Including 150 comics worth of archived templates and backgrounds.

Speaking for myself here, I can say there was no need for you to make a comic you're not satisfied with.
It's a shame about your computer. As a computer engineer (and from suffering quite a bit of such troubles too xD) I finally learnt the lesson to keep what I find important with either backups in the same computer, external backups or even up in the cloud, which would be my favorite option since, whatever may happen, you can't possibly lose something that is, for example, in a Google server.
Anyway, take your time and enjoy your new computer.

Unless the google server blows up or something

I SHOULD be able to upload stuff from my old computer by getting out the hard drive, finding one of those cables that connects to a USB on one side and that bizarre 40-peg slot thingie on the side of hard drives, then putting it on like a flash drive. A flash drive with over 10 games including Skyrim and Modlivion among others as well as several SVG files and over 150 comics.
Not Comic 482 is up. Because I need to make fun of my present situation with HOW THE HELL DID I DRAW 24 PANELS IN 1 DAY?!
