Knowledge is power my friend. In order to have Marnia sound at least remotely Shakespearan, I did have to study the dialect. While i'm not fluent, I can think of a few times where sounding like a 17th century actor has come in handy. All you had to do was learn one 3-letter word, I had to learn half a language.
Comic 481 is up. Now for a temporary change of pace. I had a lot of fun with this one.
Also, for nostalgia purposes i'm playing Pokemon Red. OMFG I am having fun like you wouldn't believe!

I find my Gyarados and Kadabra to be pretty OP already. Between them, everything dies forever.
And...*googles Nuzlocke Pokemon* i'm doing a normal playthrough. To add some challenge, I started Charmander, because the first two gyms are strong against Fire. What I ended up doing was making my pokemon so high-level that even the gym leader wasn't a threat.
Speaking of which, Check this out. Summarizes pretty much my Pokemon escapades. 5 Gastlys and 1 Haunter were "knocked out" in the making of this comic.
You'll notice a SLIGHT...uhh...problem. Needless to say I accidentally saved it as a monochrome bitmap, and couldn't salvage what it was prior. So if you have a good imagination, try to imagine the greys back in as normal. If not, well, I might remake it sometime, but the substance is still more than excellent enough that it's worth sharing.
And yes, I did name my Kadabra "Ahriman." Deal with it.

Comic 492 is up. I'm worried i'm gonna drag this on though, because i'm feeling a bit uninspired. Fortunately the comic after the next one is planned out :3
In other news, i'm training the Pokemon A-Team so that when they do powerhouse through the Elite Four effortlessly, they aren't as easily ruthlessly curb-stomped by [RIVAL] at the end. Considering the highest-level thing I can fight in the wild is a level 45 Onix with a relatively mediocre XP payout, this'll take a while. And no, no ruthless curb-stomping has occurred. Yet. But it's happened to me before and I know it'll happen again.

I aprove. I also aprove of a Snorlax or a Chansey, with high HP, rest, body slam and whatever you like. Good for soaking up damage and paralizing things, while you do nasty things.

So I went through. I thought I was gonna get curb-stomped because my 2 most powerful pokemon were KO'd by the first guy. I had only one revive, so I used it. I then curb-stomped the next three near-effortlessly. Final battle with rival: Ahriman, who's the last one standing, finishes off Blastoise (the latter of whom has 20 levels above Ahriman) sends a Psybeam into Blastoise's face, granting me the final victory.
Now i'm off to get the computer to get my saved games to work so I can actually progress PAST the Elite Four. Until then, Pokemon Crystal now, where save games DO work. I want Mewtwo!

Wanna know a secret? Octarine is grey. Also, it's not the only color of magic. Just the preferred color of Xeno and The Emperor. Princess Marnia uses gold, Kayl uses a greyish crimson, Rand uses blue, Clanor uses crimson, The Archmagister uses purple, the Superintendent of Hypt uses black and green, you get the idea.

Annual obligatory thread link. TL;DR, yes it is gender bender week. Well, it's not going on right now, but most people like to set up weeks in advance.
Comic 496 is up. I can honestly say I did not see that coming. That said, I like where I am going with this.
For this reason, expect 497 to be done by tomorrow. I anticipate a 6-paneller.
