JSTOR is my essay saviour. It's just so wonderfully useful. I love that site, shame, but I don't think it'll work when I go home. Probably only works when connected to a university network.

Glad you found somewhere to stay and that you're employed. I'd commit . . . GBH up to breaking several bones if it meant I could have a job.

All it takes is writing again. I miss my creative writing too, but I've read so much criticism and books and criticism on those books as well as literary theory it should help.
Just need to dive back in again.

The most difficult part of writing is always convincing myself to actually do it rather than staying on the internet. And then the first few sentences. Once you get going it flows.

And you have some amazing chocolate available there, SMEE. A friend sent me some. They tell me that I was levitating through here a few days ago, although all I remember is imbibing some and waking up the next morning with a metallic aftertaste in my throat.

Indeed we do. They are my best friend when these cramps hit... and did they hit early and strong this time.

...or drags you down deep into the bottle.
Or maybe that's just me...
I really, really need to get back to work on that...

It's better to write in the format that feels most natural/comfortable to you. If you deviate too far from your comfort zone, everything starts to feel contrived, and it can hurt your writing.
I've tried many a trick - different materials, different scenery, different times of day, different company... in the end, you'll write the way you're going to write, or you won't write at all. There's two real tricks: convincing yourself that you can write something worthwhile, and then convincing yourself you don't have to.
Such a strange art...

Same here.
Favorite kind of chocolate?
I'm partial to dark, myself, though only in small amounts. Unless it's with some kid of fruit. Raspberry or cherry with dark chocolate is simply divine, and orange is quite good, too. Or strawberry.
I also adore super creamy milk chocolate. The kind that just melts in your mouth. Mmmmmmm...
EDIT: Phoe, what's your avatar of? She's so beautiful, but I keep forgetting to ask. >.<

Dark chocolate is yummy indeed. Cherries make it even better.
I also like white chocolate. This, for example has always been one of my favourites.

Toblerone is good, Hershey's is great (I ate it last about... 10 years ago or so), Lindt's... was it double milk or double chocolate? Don't remember. And Kit-Kat. And Kismet. And and and and...... *drools and drowns*
