"We may have found Gagne's destination," said Pius, hurriedly. "Do you require assistance?"

[Bowerbird]

"Negative, the way things have been going so far, their firepower will be insufficient, follow your lead, I will report if assistance is required." Hack says as quietly as he can, given his proximity to hostiles, then charges the brute with the biggest gun.

"Good. Meet us at the Imperial Arms as soon as you can. Repeat, the Imperial Arms. Pius out."

Turning to Xanthia, the Commissar gave a wry smile.

"It looks like the others are busy. They'll have to catch up later."

Thanking the doctor again, he checked his weapons, heading for the door.

"What's the fastest way to the Arms?"

[Saldre]

Hack:

As you approach the thug, he turns his gun towards you and lets loose a volley of shots.

Unfortunately... his gun jams...

He turns to yell a warning to his boss and the final thug!

[Bowerbird]

The thug's warning is cut off by a thunderous blast from Hack's shotgun at point blank range. "Let gunfire be my herald" He announces to nobody in particular.

Xanthia looks to the doctor, "Do you mind if we borrow your car?"

[Saldre]

Pius and Xanthia:

"Just... don't get into trouble..." He sighs, before handing you the keys.

[Wiz]

Xanthia shrugs, "I was born into trouble, but I'll do my best to come back undamaged - and with your car in similar condition." She gives the doctor a hug, "You're a good friend."

[LCP]

Nodding in acknowledgement to the doctor, Pius held the door for Xanthia.

"You'd best drive, since you know the way," he said. "We've no time to waste."

[Wiz]

Xanthia nods and the two go down to the garage, pulling the car out and heading toward the shady side of the city.

[Saldre]

Hack:

Hack rampages trough the tunnel, shoving yet another blood corpse aside as makes his way directly for the man in the Trench-coat and his victim.

The jutting pipes around him vibrated, moved the shot gun's deafening blast. When the sound reached the final thug, mere moments later, he turned to face the entrance of the segment: steadying his gun on Hack, he moves his finger of the trigger.

"Stop." The man in the trench-coat orders. The thug holds position and does not fire, obeying passively.

"What is it you want, stranger? this is private business. Get out of here if you know what's good for you."

Xanthia and Pius:

After a fifteen minute drive, you reach the Imperial Arms (Or what's left of it, at least). It is a derelict building, though only closed a month ago it has fallen completely into disrepair.

A large neon sign, on top of the entrance to the two-story building, is missing several of its lights, victims to the rampant vandalism one would expect to find in an area such as this. The windows are all boarded and shuttered, even on the second floor.

You have yet to even enter the hall and already the smell of decay, filth and general trash is prominent.

The large set of stairs leading to the massive front door are littered things best left unmentioned, and you can hear the occasional rat scurrying around the alleyways and streets surrounding the building.

[Bowerbird]

Hack slows his approach, lowering his shotgun and once more idly reloading it, "I am here to apprehend that man and confiscate certain materials in his possession, in the name of the Omissiah and the Inquisition, nobody further need be harmed. I warn you, everyone else who has interacted with this substance has met a gruesome end from persons as yet unknown. You would be wise to hand him over to me."

[Wiz]

Xanthia pops out one of the 13 dumdums from her belt and slaps a paper on top of the car. She writes in low gothic along with several underworld characters to indicate the following message. "Mess with my friend's car and I'll have more of these for you... three for each in fact." She weighs the note down on the hood of the car and sets the dumdum on it.

[Saldre]

Hack:

"that's mighty brave of you there fellow, reloading that shot-gun with an auto-gun aimed at your face. But for someone who talks big, and has the bulk to match his speech... well, you seem to be walking in here awfully unprepared. Guiserp here is my employee: he's invaluable to me. Unfortunately, your warnings are intangible: merely words that i cannot use to conduct business.

Now, if your here for business... that's another matter... i suspect were both after the same products. YOU be wise to tell me what you know. Unless you want my friend here to empty several clip's worth of ammunition into you." the man in the trench-coat says, and forcefully moves Gguiserp in-front of him as to provide himself with some cover.


[OOC: Keep in mind they are on the side of a grating, across several feet of sludge. Though there is a bridge connecting both metal platforms, they would have plenty of time to shoot you for several rounds before you're able to reach them]

Loken is following Hack while taking cover and also checking to see if anyone is coming from behind, thinking that Hack wouldn't need his help anyways with the action going on, however he pulls out his Longlas just in case and aims it at the man that is behind the meat shield.

[Bowerbird]

Hack grunts, lowering his shotgun. "You are correct, it seems I have indeed become somewhat overconfident. Perhaps we can come to some sort of arrangement. The man that your employee there discovered your merchandise on, he was already dead, yes? Not to mention in a somewhat gruesome fashion? That man's employer was found dead and infested with some sort of parasite, which may or may not be related to the product, on this you have only my word. We are dealing with this matter, but it would be best for all parties if you would hand over your employee for questioning, and the "merchandise" for disposal, what sort of an arrangement would be suitable for you?"

Loken takes his time trying to get a perfect shot then he puts his finger on the trigger, and takes the shot.

Hack and Loken:

As Hack keeps the man distracted with his little speech... Loken takes careful aim with his riffle.

As he the man moves his his head from behind the protective cover of his victim... The assassin fires: and strikes true.

The man in the trench-coat screams as his head catches fire and his skin begins to peel off his face in a most gruesome display. Blinded, he shoves Guiserp aside and shambles forward forward in agony.

Disoriented, his foot moves over the empty space beyond the platform... and he tumbles into the pool of sludge and sewer chemicals, fading away from sight. His hand rises from the green waters, in a final attempt to reach for help... but quickly fades away, sinking into the depths.

Guiserp is left standing there, shaking in his boots. He's probably soiled himself.

[Bowerbird]

"Loken, take down the thugs." Hack moves forward towards Guiserp, "Now, if you do not want to end up lie your employer, i would give yourself up quietly."

[Saldre]

Loken and Hack:

The thug is completely motionless. Without any will of his own, he was completely dependent on the man. Now, without a boss, he's no better then a servitor.

Guiserp raises both his hands.

"I surrender! I never took it! Well, i did: but I didn't mean too! Well, that's not really true either... but I surrender! Just don't kill me!"

[Bowerbird]

"Nevermind Loken, alright then Guiserp, you will hand over the product you lifted off the courier's body, and you will come with us." Hack approaches them, keeping an eye on the thug. "You!" he points to the thug, "Come with us too."

[Saldre]

Hack and Loken:

The Thug remains stationary, as if he does not even hear you.

"This? Why's everybody's fighting over a pack of Lhu-sticks!? Are they really worth THAT much!? Take em, I don't want em no more!" He says and reaches into his coat for a bag of Idyll, which he then throws at Hack. "Listen, I did want you wanted too, how about we call it a day, eh?"

[Bowerbird]

"Well, now that we have your undivided attention, you will tell us if you know anything of a man named Gagne." Hack says as he idly adjusts the sights on his shotgun.

[Saldre]

Hack and Loken:

"Gagne!? No! Never heard of a Gagne! But I Could ask around, I'd get you the info in three days tops! I swear!" He says frantically.

[Bowerbird]

"Hmm, perhaps you could be of use to us. Since you seem genuinely ignorant towards our investigation, perhaps you can aid us. One moment while I confer with my superior." With his gun trained on Guiserp, Hack Voxes a call to Pius, "Pius, this is Hack, we have resolved the situation with Guiserp, and have confiscated the contraband. he seems to know nothing of what he was carrying. Permission to employ him for intelligence gathering?"

[AssassinKing]

Loken is going to look and listen for anything that might give a sign of any lies or misleading information of somesort.

"Permission granted," replied Pius, "but make all haste for the Arms."

Turning to Xanthia, he drew his weapons and nodded to her multi-mask.

"You had best lead the way. We don't want to walk right into another infestation of those little creatures."

[Wiz]

Xanthia nods, pulling out her consecrator and rotating the clips to standard bullets for the moment. She removes her scrivener robes and pulls out a cameleoline cloak which she wraps around herself, fading somewhat from view. Before she does, you realize that under the robes she has at least four different pistols strapped to her black, form-fitting, snakeskin-like armored form, as well as a couple of photon grenades and a wrapped up sword on her back. She puts the mask on before pulling up the cloak's hood. Then marches across the street toward the Arms, looking, in the dim light, like a half-seen ghost as her cloaked shape blends partially into the background.

[Bowerbird]

"Very well," Hack proceeds to give Guiserp instructions on what to investigate for him, along with a warning against crossing him. "We are on our way now Pius. Guiserp, before you leave, can you give us directions to the Imperial Arms? We need to get there as soon as possible."

[Saldre]

Hack & Loken:

"The Arms? Why in the world would you want to go there? Its been closed for a month! Your lucky though: Its not very far. See that tunnel over there? Take it, then turn right: then climb up the scaffold and... hmm, its probably easier If just just draw you a map..." He says, reaching inside his other pocket he pulls out a pen and a piece of paper then jots out the directions crudely on it. "You don't get lost, its a ten minute walk trough this short-cut."

[OOC: Luckily Hack is an expert at sewers or else....]
