For the way this comic usually goes, I think he handled that pretty well. He brought Yuki from "right let's get it over with" to being starry-eyed, if only by accident. Also, he didn't get hurt. Yet.

Hey, he made a lot of progress. He gave flowers (well, sort of flowers, and it was actually better than flowers) to a girl, and didn't drown her in nose blood yet!
As far as he goes, he is being suave. The suavest he's ever been.

I do like this comic, because it's very nicely drawn and has enough genuinely funny panels to make it stand out above the other run-of-the-mill comics I know. And a little cheesecake never hurt, either
I must admit though, sometimes I read it and feel a little awkward. I mean, consider Zii and her antics so far; If she were a male and trying the same thing, 'he' would probably be in prison by now, so sometimes I'm not sure if it's supposed to be funny or if she's deliberately being portrayed as crossing some kind of line...
....Or maybe I just think about it too much. That's entirely possible, too.
I think the author is aware of this, personally. It's amazing what the pretty ones can get away with, but they do. I wouldn't think too much about it; the comic most likely just uses this fact to have some slapstick humour and make Gary suffer for our amusement.
Until there's a significant shift in tone, I will assume that it's just done for the lulz, and not to paint Zii as a evil.

I wonder why Matt turned into the idiot pervert he is. During the early comics, he was a pretty laid-back straight guy to the zaniness of the rest of the cast.
Well, I'm assuming Gary's utter misfortune counts as a form of zaniness.

That's entirely plausible. Though, I tend to have the same reaction as Wraith, and in my eyes Zii may be the most unsympathetic character in the comic (if only she wasn't cause for so much fun.....), almost topping Matt. At least, he's up-front with his whorey jerkiness

Your error is in trying to think of Matt as a character. He's not. He's a vehicle for bisexual hijinks. Just like all the other "characters".
I recently moved this one to my "do not read" list, right after I realized that character development was going to be nonexistent.

I actually still read this, despite agreeing with all of the above. I look at it with the same way I enjoy Satre's No Exit. It is a story about horrible people who do horrible things to each other and deserve pretty much everything that happens to them. Especially Zii... she is just vile.

To be fair, only Zii and Matt are really horrible people at this point. The others are wacky, awkward, very mildly antisocial or possibly outright crazy, but none of them are actually as inconsiderate of others' as those two.
